I don't know how their reviews are…
If I could give zero stars I would. Management high up through to the ones at the depot couldn’t care less about their staff, and treat you like a number.
They have been so unprofessional with how they communicate and treat you. Beware as they have done this to many driver where they will just take you off the rota without telling you, and will try to turf drivers out if they can’t control you. You give and give, and they just take and take. You’re supposed to be able to work part time and hours you were doing before are suddenly not good, I was then removed from groups without even speaking to me. The managers pick and choose who to favour and treat the rest of us like imbeciles with zero respect. The tone of the messages treat you like children, and they can’t seem to pick up the phone and respectfully talk to you about anything.
I found out I was pregnant, and absolutely no care or provisions were offered, even though it says on their website they do, but of course it is just a tick box operation to look good, they don't actually implement it and make an excuse as to why they can't. Even if I'm freelance I am still contracted by H20 to do a service, so you'd think they would be fair to all their staff, seeing as it state on their website that this covers contractors/suppliers. Just total BS!
They charge you money to pay your invoice £10 a week, with no option to opt for monthly payments. That's effectively £520 pa they're profiting off of their drivers. You're not told about this either it is only hidden in small print.
The job adverts make out the job is way better than it is, saying 9 hour shifts but done in 7 hours. The joining bonus is never correct, and was halved, no bonuses are ever given, they take money from you when damage occurs without even talking to you first or providing proof - what is the point in having insurance. They will make assumptions on any incidents that have occured too without talking to you.
There is no phone numbers to talk to anyone at head office, and any of the email accounts you are reluctantly given are never signed off by a name, they're incredibly elusive, probably because they know they'll get constant complaints.
If you do a good job, you are rewarded with MORE WORK! Basically, if you do the drops quicker, then more parcels will just get added onto the route for the future, even though the workload is the same, but some drivers may work more efficiently or be running from stop to stop to get it done quicker so they're not having to work long tiring hours. They like that you do this though because it shows good stats for H20, but it means the drivers are always in a loose loose situation.
With this in mind, because the more stops that get added on, it then becomes unsafe for the drivers because they feel over worked, rushed with having too much to do in fear of not getting it done in time. This means the Amazon training we are expected to do goes out the window, you literally cannot win. Doesn't matter how many times this is raised; nothing will change we are just told that just the way the system works.
The business is run by children with merciless staff who only care about looking good to Amazon via stats, so they can get more contracts from them and earn more money for management. They don't care that they are exploiting their drivers to get there, and they blame everything on Amazon to shank all responsibility for any of their wrongdoings. Absolute unscrupulous company to work for!! They're liars & cheats - the negativity is fed down the chain!
If you dare voice your opinion, you're told to like it or lump it, nothing will change (their words). The worst part is if you leave and share the truth in reviews, such as this, you know it won't make a bit of difference because you're replaceable, and the next batch of unsuspecting drivers will just come along, until they can't take it anymore.
