Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the feedback, currently on hackajob companies make the first move and invite you to apply, if your skills, experience and preferences match their role, we're currently working on a new system which will be more tranasparent when you sign up via a particular job ad, explaining why you do/don't match and where you do allowing the candidate to move first.

I've taken a look at your profile and can see why you haven't had any traction, the salary preference you've set is way below the desired role/seniority you've added - I've dropped you an email with some insights as to how you can amend this and bring it in line with the market rate.

Engagement is better following a bit of a lull

I have been signed up with Hackajob for some years now, and they actually connected me to one of my most recent jobs. Since that time, however, they have not been as interactive, but recently, I started seeing some push from the account managers to make things happen. I would advise you connect with your account manager and work together with them to make this relationship work for the betterment of both you and Hackajob. It can only get better. Hopefully, that applies to my pursuits as well in the near future

Hey Karthik,

I'm sorry to hear this is the feeling we've left you with. I can assure you any role advertised by us is a geniuine role on platform.

I've taken a look and can see why you'd feel this way, unfortunately we just don't have a lot of jobs in India at the entry/junior level of experience, where we do have a handful they're not matching your profile - we do appreciate this lack of transparency can feel very jarring though, and we're working on deploying some updates before the end of February that will be much more transparent as to why you are/aren't matching roles & will give you some agency to make the first move where you do match.

User Experience

I think it works very well as a portal, allowing users to have a single profile on the platform that attracts interest and connects them with hiring companies that match their potential. It is a strong concept, and the platform is easy to use.

Hey Faycel,

Would you be open to a feedback session to help us better understand the complications?

Looking at your profile I can see you've not had any traction, we don't currently have jobs for people on student Visa's with the 20 hour cap, however I appreciate the fact the platform doesn't communicate this isn't ideal for candidates such as yourself, we have a new candidate flow coming within the next month which aims to better calculate this information so we can at least be upfront where we can/can't help.

I have nearly five years of…

I have nearly five years of professional experience in cyber security, with a strong focus on penetration testing and security assessment gained during my tenure at MICIT. Throughout this period, I have been actively involved in identifying, analysing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities across diverse systems, networks, and applications.

My responsibilities included conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration tests following recognised standards and methodologies, interpreting technical findings, and producing clear, actionable reports for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. I have hands-on experience with common attack vectors, threat modelling, and exploitation techniques, as well as validating remediation efforts to ensure effective risk reduction.

In addition to practical testing, I have worked closely with development and infrastructure teams to improve security posture through secure configuration, policy enforcement, and awareness of emerging threats. This experience has strengthened my ability to critically evaluate security practices, assess the robustness of testing methodologies, and provide constructive, evidence-based feedback.

With an academic background in Cyber Security and Forensic Information Technology and substantial real-world penetration testing experience, I am well-positioned to review cyber security–related work with a balanced perspective that values technical accuracy, methodological rigour, and practical relevance.

Hi Henry,

Thanks for the feedback, I've taken a look into this and can indeed see the request you received for the Product Management role wasn't a good fit.

I've reached out to the company managing that particular job with some advice on how to tighten up the matching, it looks like they were casting their net a little wide, leading to you receiving this request.

Apologies for any inconvenience. I'm confident we'll generate you some more relevant opportunities moving forward.

I have 4+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst, working across end-to-end data analytics—from data extraction and transformation to visualization and stakeholder decision support. I’ve worked with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel to build scalable ETL pipelines, automate reporting, and deliver actionable insights.

In my current role, I design multi-source SQL pipelines, build executive dashboards with 15+ KPIs, and apply forecasting and regression analysis to identify trends and revenue opportunities. I regularly partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, translate business requirements into analytics solutions, and improve data-driven decision adoption.

Previously, I focused on data cleaning, dashboard development, KPI tracking, and process optimization, reducing manual reporting and improving operational efficiency. Across roles, I’ve consistently improved data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and business visibility, while communicating insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
