Hafod supplied our air source heat pump, hot water tank and underfloor heating. This was all undertaken professionally and with the utmost care. They were helpful in accommodating our needs when we had to liaise with other trades and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Hafod fitted a hybrid boiler/central heating system for us. The work wasn't simple as the boiler was relocated, but they did it as quickly as they could. The job was finished off very tidily, we're very pleased with it.

What not to like?

Chose Hafod as it is long-established and has won several nationally-recognised awards, which offered us confidence in its ability to deliver as promised. I could also see other local and national case studies on its website so I knew that previous customers were verifiably satisfied. There has also been media coverage of Hafod's other projects, showing that the management team is committed to green energy.
We received good advice at the initial consultation and survey stages on how many panels we needed and the potential outputs, plus which battery. I cross-checked with other suppliers that the price was competitive.
Stage payments were acknowledged so I knew they'd gone through OK, and a suitable date set.
The installation team turned up as planned and were helpful - they suggested a different, more secure but not as accessible location for the battery and other kit and explained their reasoning.
They were very tidy (cleaning up as they went) and courteous and I had full confidence in their work.
They also talked me through the app and all the relevant IT, which is pretty straightforward.
Even though it's now winter we are already getting a trickle of energy, even on overcast days. It's powering my computer as I type this. Looking forward to when it's working at full output so I can charge my electric car as well.

I prefer to deal with local contractors as long as they are professional, give good comprehensive advice, are friendly without being slick and communicate well. Hafod fulfilled all of these criteria. They were competitive in price. The engineers who fitted the panels were courteous and barely stopped all day although I did keep them supplied with coffee.
I have gone on to order battery storage too.

They kept everywhere tidy as they worked and we appreciated every aspect. Lee's methodology was concise and efficient. We would have no hesitation to recommend them to others.

The Hafod fitters, Iwan and Matthew, were very efficient, informative, as unobtrusive as possible given the nature of the installation, and cleaned up and made good very well.
The paperwork from Hafod has been punctually delivered and has caused us minimal fuss.

Installation of the Heat Source Pump system was fairly smooth. All workmen were polite and friendly. The only slight disappointment was the leakage from the old radiators which stained the carpets, but this was rectified. There were some initial trouble shooting after installation, but again these were rectified to our satisfaction. The handover was very brief - perhaps because it was 6.30pm on a Friday night! We would have appreciated a brief guidance note on the what was mentioned to us during handover (as already forgotten) rather than the large / thick technical document that was left with us! Would recommend Hafod to others. Thank you.

We had underfloor heating and an air source heat pump installed by Hafod Renewables in May. Installation was very good and though we had a couple of leaks from the pump manifolds these were attended promptly.
I would recommend this company for all renewable energy projects.

Hafod Renewable Energy recently installed in roof solar panels and storage battery, an air source heat pump and replacement radiators. They liaised with the company that were replacing our roof to instal the solar panels. They kept us informed at all times of the time scale and order of work. Their staff were very approachable and accommodating and worked with us to ensure the system was how we wanted it. Their quote was very competitive and we are very pleased with the installation.

Everything was done as I was told it would be. The men working here were tidy and polite. From my experience, I would recommend to anybody.

Excellent service. The installation was completed swiftly despite shocking weather throughout the 2 days. The system is now running perfectly and our boiler is no longer needed for hot water in the summer. Our electric bills have reduced by two-thirds. Result!

We had an air heat pump installed at our home by Hafod Renewable Energy Ltd. We found Hafod personnel, from the consultation phase to the completion phase, knowledgable, professional and courteous. The work was performed to the required standard and almost on time.

It took three days to install our beautiful new Daikin air source heat pump. We had been a bit worried about how the installation would work, would the men arrive in time and do a good job?
Hafod arrived exactly on time on Day One and worked all day to install the new huge water cylinder into our existing airing cupboard. Day two saw the hydro box installed and connected to the system. Day three and the huge fan was in its new home in the garden beside the house wall. By the end of the third day it was all running beautifully.
The house felt different: not hot but gently warm throughout- no more shutting doors to keep the heat in- the warmth was everywhere! All day and all night too. The system is unbelievably quiet in operation. It’s like the Rolls Royce of the air source heating pumps.

Did we we have any snags? Yes. In a way we were very lucky because we did not have to change any radiators; but there is a snag with old radiators because they have a build up of black gunge inside them and the day after completion, everything stopped working. Our engineer Iwan came as quickly as he could and cleaned the filter of the black stuff. Since then, we’ve had no problems.

The team worked extremely hard and made sure we understood how the system works. They tidied up after themselves and took all the packaging away as well as the old pipe work and old cylinder. There were thorough and pleasant throughout.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hafod and Daikin to any potential buyers. Communications with the company were excellent and they really cared that our installation went well. They were very helpful with the guarantee and the RHI payments advice. Best of all we have reduced our carbon footprint: it’s a win win for us.
