Haggerty Dental Review

Haggerty Dental Review

Before I begin, I wish to remind readers that customer/patient reviews are largely opinion based as well as factual statements on actual experience. Such is my case here. I was dental patient at Haggerty Dental in Plymouth, MI for over 10 years under the care of Dr. Kelly, the practice owner. Never had an issue. Payment for non-insurance covered procedures were negotiable. Sometime in 2025, Dr. Kelly retired and sold the practice to Dr. Aziza Askari & Associates. My experience with the new ownership has been, to say the least, terrible. Prior to the placement of a new crown, the office did NOT check with my insurance company to see what was covered. They proceeded with the procedure only to have the entire claim rejected because it was not covered by my insurance. Consequently, I was told I needed to pay approximately $3,200 and they wanted payment immediately. It appears to me that the focus of the new owners is revenue, not patient care. Payment arrangements for services must be made before leaving their office after performed procedures. Non-negotiable. I have repeatedly requested an itemized detail of all charges for dental services provided to me during 2025 so that I can reconcile said charges with what my dental insurance company was billed. My requests have been continually ignored. My advice to readers of this review is to look elsewhere. I now have a new dentist who is wonderful. Wish I had found him sooner.
