I have been taking Hamish and Milo groups for over a year in all I have 97 children in different groups. It has been very successful and is such a positive way to help children with their emotions and wellbeing. Children are enthusiastic and excited to come to group. Being able to talk about their feelings, find solutions for their problems and see that others struggle with the same things. They become upset when the sessions are complete and beg to be in another group. The resources are great and the Navigator is easy to use and very helpful. With the children's voices at the beginning and the end of the 10 week sessions I am able to see their progress, or any additional needs and support. Claire and the staff are more than helpful when you have a query.
I
The resources that we have been sent and support to start Hamish and Milo are fantastic. I am so looking forward to rolling this out across the school. Staff have been really receptive to providing initial training and always on hand to answer any queries.
The resources are brilliant, easy to follow and use - sometimes I will dip in and use a single idea as well as delivering entire modules. The support from the team has also been fantastic and the Navigator tool means it's been easy to track improvements the children have made over the weeks as well.
The children I work with have given good feedback on the activities and strategies we've learned about too, and often tell me they're excited to "do Hamish & Milo" - a big thumbs up from me!
Our first school has been using Hamish and Milo for around a year now and I am delighted to be able to write a first class review for the well-being program, which has been a truly transformative resource in our school.
Since introducing Hamish and Milo, we have seen such a positive impact on our pupils as it has supported their mental well-being, given them a boost in confidence and enhanced friendships. I’ve personally loved watching the camaraderie form amongst the groups and the general sense of excitement bubbling across the classes.
The program is exceptionally well designed and offers a wide range of well thought out, quality and engaging resources that are practical and easy to use. I’ve used a number of the themes and each one is so unique that a child could do all 10 and have a different experience each time.
One of the biggest benefits has been the reduced amount of time needed to plan and as it’s so thoughtfully laid out, any of our staff members can pick it up and run with it with a minimal amount of training, enabling us to target so many more children than ever before. It’s also empowering our staff and giving them all the tools they need to effectively support our children.
The supervision throughout the school year has been invaluable, offering a safe space to get expert advice, glean from each others experiences, discuss any difficulties and as it’s with other local schools, enable you to feel a part of something much bigger.
What stands out most is the real, measurable difference it makes in the lives of our children, which can be seen clearly with the use of data using the Navigator resource. It is building emotional literacy and resilience in a way that is sensitive to each child’s emotional needs.
It’s clear that a lot of care and expertise has gone into the creation of Hamish and Milo and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any first/primary school looking to prioritise the emotional well-being of their pupils. I’m already excited for September and anticipate another transformative year!

Hamish and Milo is a resource that really fills a gap in the market for high quality, affordable emotional wellbeing intervention in schools. The packs are user friendly, well thought out and well pitched for primary age children. I have used Hamish and Milo at a previous school and will be bringing them into my current school soon as I really value the impact that I have seen on the children who have been involved. Fantastic!!! If you need something that works for your children to support SEMH then this is the resource to pick up and use.

Everything is easy to find. Contact with providers is first rate and the children love the short fun interventions.
We have been using H&M resources to supplement emotional wellbeing and development in our special school for the past 18 months and have found them enormously supportive. We are able to run groups and provide 1:1 support.
Several classes in KS2-4 found it helpful to create hand puppets to act as their own proxy and the guide materials enabled TAs to run groups with a small amount of training.
The Hamish & Milo wellbeing resources are brilliant, the children taking part in the groups love the activities and as an ELSA running the interventions, I find that all the themes are so well planned and easy to deliver. After the 11 weekly sessions, the children don't want the programme to end and they definitely benefit from spending time together as a group.

Hamish & Milo have great programs for primary school children.
All the programs range from depression to friendship.
Every program is a 6 week plan, each child have a journal to fill out each week about there feeling.
The children i have been able to work with, have been so engaged and they so look forward to the next time we do a Hamish & Milo program.
As a Trauma informed practitioner I find Hamish and Milo programmes lovely to work with and everything is so visual in the hub.
I would recommend to Hamish & Milo to all my friends.
Thank you.
The resources are clear and easy to use. Support is great and I really appreciate the supervision that we have. The new hub has helped immensely.
I would like to see some of the activities aimed at younger age groups as it isn’t always easy to adapt them. Also some more sessions aimed at individual children rather than groups.

Incredible resource for supporting children's emotional wellbeing. We have been able to ensure our staff are supported in their delivery - clear and well thought out plans as well as tools to enable baselining. The materials enable reflection throughout the interventions and summary work at the end for children to reflect on their own personal journey.
Our children absolutely love their sessions and we are looking forward to further embedding them into school life next year. A big thank you to your team for always answering any queries promptly.

Absolutely amazing set of resources. Well planned intervention sessions with lots of great ideas and with children mental wellbeing in mind.
As much as I would prefer a more structured layout of session plans I understand and appreciate the idea to leave open for personal adjustment.

The opportunity to share the challenges in setting the intervention up and keeping it going, sharing good news, sharing the differences made to our children, just feeling so supported along the journey.
