Couldn't Ask for Better Service

No delivery and no reply to emails

I placed my first order 8th May, and waited over two months. I emailed HRT twice in that time, and both of my emails were ignored.

Eventually last week i got an email from customs saying the package had been seized (I only ordered one box).

Maybe I got unlucky with my first order, I could accept that. But what I don't accept is people taking my money and then completely ignoring me.

Admittedly I did not take their insurance, however considering they have completely ignored me since taking my money, I don't see how that would have made any difference.

As far as I'm concerned the delivery rate is 0%, and the customer service does not exist after they have your money.

After reviewing your order, we can confirm that our system shows one order under your account. Your order was shipped internationally on 15 May and arrived in the United Kingdom on 18 May. Since then, there have been no further tracking updates.

Based on the tracking history, it appears likely that the parcel has either been held or seized by UK Customs. Unfortunately, situations like this can occasionally occur with international tobacco shipments.

Our overall delivery success rate is between 90% and 95%, but there is always a 5–10% possibility that a shipment may be held by customs or encounter other issues beyond our control.

To help protect customers against these situations, we offer Shipping Protection during checkout. Customers who choose this option are entitled to one free replacement shipment if their parcel is held or seized by the destination country’s customs authorities.

According to our records, Shipping Protection was not selected for this order.

However, we also try to assist customers who choose not to purchase Shipping Protection. As explained on our website, if a shipment is held or seized by customs, we offer a goodwill reshipment option, where the customer pays 60% of the original order value, and we cover the remaining 40% before sending a replacement shipment. If you wish, you are welcome to take advantage of this option.

Regarding your comment about communication, we can see that your last email was sent to us on 14 June, and unfortunately it did not receive a reply. We sincerely apologise for this. During particularly busy periods, an email may occasionally be overlooked. This is never intentional, and we always aim to respond to every customer, whether the news is positive or negative.

Customer feedback is important to us, which is why we have responded both here and by email.

If you would like to proceed with the 60% reshipment option, please let us know, and we will be happy to assist you.

Yes, the package was delivered, it cost me £113 plus the additional £172 in import tax, not really worth it when I can get a packet of fags for 6 quid from the local Turkish shop. Oh by the way, can I have my free packet of fags for this review, and the other 5 delivered please? Just send me 100 fags and we'll call it quits yeah?
