I learn German using courses of Happy German Academy since 6 months ago.
I do more than just courses, e.x. I took private speaking lessons with a teacher, that is not from Happy German Academy.
What is great:
1. The courses keep me interested. I want knot what comes next and it helps me to proceed. I spend around 25 hours per week on German and it's still funny with Happy German.
2. I use everything I learned in the courses and I never had a problem, that German native speakers don't understand the phrase I learn there.
3. I took useful hints about German songs from the courses and from the community of the Academy.

To make the review complete I'd put a couple of areas to improve:
1. The courses are not enough to start speaking or writing. A student has to build some processes around the courses. It took me more than one year to understand how to start those courses. So I bought the first course in 2023, but started working with it only in 2024, when it became clear how to do that.

I'm so happy and impressed that i took the risk and did a 10 week Challenge with Happy German Academy, not only did my German / Confidence level up after the 10 weeks , i was blown away how well crafted the platform / video and homework was. Not only that , i love that its mine for lifestyle , so i can revisit which i have done many times and have noticed over time they are updating previous stuff , along with added more to their platform! Well Done Everyone!

Is a very complete platform to practice grammar, vocabulary based in a very funny central history , I recommend a lot to join the Anja Happy German academy

The way that they have made such an interactive course to learn german is genuinely amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better way to learn another language.

The way the course is build is so interactive and easy to follow. Its a different style of learning than most are used to but i think its great because it simulates real world environment. I learned much quicker with this course than the text book. General concepts are much easier to understand with Anja's explanations.

Highly recommended if you want to learn for sake of learning not just passing Goethe Exam.

I enrolled for the A1, A2 and B1 courses in December. At the same time I ordered the A1/1 and A2/1 course books to compliment the online materials. To date I've completed the full A1/1 and A1/2 courses. Before I move on to A2/1 and A2/2 I intend to repeat the full beginners course. That is my choice as I think it will help me to embed and absorb the amount of material covered to date. In my opinion the course has been very carefully planned to cover German speaking, reading and writing fundamentals and essentials in a easy to follow format. Of course the hard thing with learning a new language is remembering and applying what you have learned but the principles and tools explained clearly in Anja's 4M method help. Anja is an extremely confident and capable teacher supported by her amazing team. I'd recommend this course to anyone seriously thinking about learning German or improving their German.

I am glad someone has finally done something to teach German in a different way instead of relying on techniques that are boring and antiquated. It was well worth the money I spent. Thank you Anja.

There are lots of materials and support, it's structured so you don't get too off-course but it's also possible still to divert from time to time to get a better understanding around the videos and then get back to the main part.

The videos are very fun to watch as a beginner and aren't very long. You can certainly dip in when you have time. But it does take repetition - this is of course what much of learning is.

It is a challenge, in the sense that they're not telling you exactly how to learn, everything is available to you and you decide how to learn best, in your way. They provide a rough guideline as the starting point.
The videos are with real dialogues and they don't dumb it down for you. This is challenging but it's much more natural and gives you a feel for the language (and great insights into the culture).

Anja's energy is contagious and you want to try to learn with her.

I'm about a quarter of the way in and I'm so glad I joined her course. I think I really am learning German and my confidence is slightly increasing (which was better than close to zero before)!

I love the Happy German Academy. Anja has a great way of explaining difficult German grammar and vocabulary in a fun and effective way, making it a true pleasure to learn.
