Con Artists

Company still in operation?

Ordered a stand up desk on the 04/10/23 after reading some positive online reviews and viewing their Instagram page.

I have received no confirmation that my order has shipped and due to the fact that all my emails I have sent to their various email addresses have bounced back I am very worried that this company is no longer trading but still happy to take people's money.

To Harmoni please respond here or I shall be going down the legal route to get my money returned.

DO NOT BUY FROM HARMONI

THIS COMPANY IS UTTERLY CORRUPT. I like the product. I bought the basic unit a couple of years ago and ordered an extra shelf in October. It never arrived. No response to emails and calls. A couple of months later they responded through FaceBook Messenger with no end of excuses of why their email servers and website servers were down. I said I didn't trust them any more and didn't want the order. But they went ahead and challenged my Visa appeal and produced an ORDER FORM as supposed proof of DELIVERY. Visa sided with them so I got charged anyway. Worse experience I've ever had with an online order.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Don't be fooled by the glossy website. This company is still taking money from customers despite possibly folding. All emails bounce back or go into spam. There doesn't appear to be a phone contact. I cancelled my order within minutes of ordering, however all of these messages bounced back. Then the product arrived and I've been trying to return it since. It's clear now that there is no functioning company and they are happy to take money from potential customers but there is no way to return items or retrieve money. My bank has told me that I will now have to wait 30 days in order to raise a formal dispute.

Update: 07/02/23 If you are waiting for a refund or similar, it is worth persevering. My refund has finally come through via Melissa at Harmoni (not the postage cost but the cost of the desk). The only email address that appears to be working is the one starting with the word 'care' (not allowed to paste it here). You might not get an instant response but they seem to receive these emails and may be able to deal with issues eventually. I would add a couple of stars to my review due to the fact that someone looked into this for me and I finally have a refund.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Ordered a laptop stand. Didn't arrive, have tried 3 different email addresses now and all have been returned undelivered.

Called them up twice and was told that my query was being 'passed on to fulfilment' but no response, no call back and nothing in writing from them. Now I cant get through to them on the phone at all.

I will likely loose my money but I'm this posting here to hopefully save someone else the same fate.

Buyer beware, dont buy anything and look elsewhere

Do not Order from Harmoni Living

After buying from them in 2020 which was fine I ordered something early this month. Other than a system generated email I’ve had no response to querying progress. Checked on FB and Instagram to see others having same experience. Eventually called the Manchester number on the invoice and twice spoke to someone last week who expressed some concern as to why I’d received no information and then stated that another colleague would get back to me probably by email to update on my order. Nothing received. I’ve filed a claim with Visa citing the company appears to be fraudulently trading suspecting they’ve probably gone out of business. That the website is still taking orders is scandalous.
DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER anyone reading this !

Absolutely rubbish customer service and Nathan Hornstein as MD !

Absolutely rubbish customer service !! I ordered on 18 oct 2022 and till now it has not arrived! I have emailed and called multiple times, managed to speak to someone on the line, but still no response, and no delivery. And they refuse to refund my money either, it’s not a cheap product as well!! EUR 329!! I even contacted their managing director Nathan Hornstein on Instagram, and he also does not respond! I seriously have run out of ideas how to get money back!

DON'T BUY - SCAM!
Ordered a harmonidesk on 26 Oct 2022, paid for it and nothing. When checked my order, website no longer accessible. Sent 2 emails to support and received a delivery failure.
They disappeared with the money. Company based in Manchester, am filing a law suit through credit card company.

Dont buy from Harmoni - No desk, no answer, no money

I ordered a Harmoni desk on the 29th of September, and despite it being a 1-3 business days delivery, I haven't received anything. I have sent 3+ emails asking for information on the delivery date, I have written messages on Instagram. It has been just impossible to get in contact with them. DON'T buy with them, it seems more like a SCAM company than a real business!!!

I placed an order and payed on September 24th. A week later I started pinged a user support to get some info on when I could expect my delivery. 0 response after repetitive emails. I tried pinging on Instagram - no response.

Today I found a "self-service portal", where I can't find my order...

Sorry, but I have nothing else to say apart that it seems Harmoni Desk is a SCAM!!!

Terrible Customer Service

I placed this order a month ago unfortunately using the wrong post code but I pointed this out to them on the info email address immediately so we could rectify the issue.

I have sent 5 emails since 20 September with not a single response back.

I accepted the delivery error was mine and said we would be happy to cover the cost of the extra courier no problem but nothing. I have since asked for a refund on the item but still nothing.

I do not recommend shopping with Harmoni.

Good, if incomplete product, but as for customer service....

Ordered a yoga mat which arrived promptly in perfect condition. However, it came minus the carrying strap.
I work in logistics and pack stuff all the time. Yes, mistakes can be made, but when it's only one mat plus a strap and half the order is missing, then that's plain lack of care and attention. Other reviews have also mentioned defective parts/wrong orders, so my case is not unusual.
On to communication - I've sent an e-mail about this, and after several days, still no answer. Following others' experience, I've also sent an Instagram message, and again, thus far, no reply.
So, the take away for Harmoni desk - Nathan/Emily and whoever else, is that you need to improve your CRM and basic communications by 300%. Treat every order with the importance it deserves. As you undoubtedly know, it's so much easier to keep existing customers than it is trying to find new ones.
And one last thing, could you please consider providing a telephone number for contact? Even a mobile with a voicemail facility would be a good start. Otherwise, the impression you are giving is one of wanting to 'hide' from your customers, which is counter-intuitive, to say the least...

Update - 06/10/2022
Finally got a reply from Emily to confirm what we all knew, in that my order was shipped incomplete. She was 'going to look into it' with their fulfilment people.
Two weeks later I'm still waiting for a follow up.
Shockingly bad doesn't start to describe this whole experience. It pains me to say this, but, AVOID this company. It will only lead to frustration and anguish!

Poor communication & follow up

I ordered the new Harmoni Zoe desk on 24th August, and had to chase it up (until 12th Sept with numerous emails) to find out what had happened to it & if I would receive it at all. Customer service team did reply and said it was being looked into but overall responses are very slow.

After another email, an Instagram message and a review on Trust Pilot yesterday - I've now had a full response & told it will be shipped the next day and was a technical error. These things happen but lack of communication is super frustrating from a customer perspective. I have received helpful comments from Harmoni yesterday which is appreciated.

Excited to receive it as it looks good. These things happen but customer service could be better coordinated and responsive overall.

I've just bought an extra large shelf for my standing desk to let me use it with an extra monitor. Have loved using it so far, this will be the icing on the cake.

Great approach to customer service …

I first saw the harmoni desk stand being used by a colleague (suffering back pain). Really liked the design and it looked well made/quality product. I decided to order for myself to alleviate back pain also and improve posture whilst working. I ordered late on Friday afternoon. On the Monday I received (unprompted) a lovely email from Nathan the MD explaining that I had ordered after the cut off time (for the postal service I selected) but nonetheless Harmoni would dispatch on an upgraded no cost to me improved delivery service. Package arrived 24hrs later and I’m delighted to be working at my new desk station today. Whatever’s been changed by Nathan and team recently with regards to customer service it’s worked! Great product great customer service. Highly recommend thank you

Initially difficult to contact and product didn't arrive in a reasonable timeframe

*To update on the below- I managed to speak to Emily at Harmoni by contacting another address provided via the Instagram account. She explained the reasons for the delay (seemingly factors beyond the company's control) and very quickly provided a refund. The help I received from her was very friendly and efficient so I have changed my review from 1 star to 3, but communication with the company until that point wasn't as good as it should've been, and I can't rate the quality of the product because ultimately I had to cancel my order.*

I ordered a desk more than a month ago, with the site saying there was a 14-day lead time, and I haven’t yet received the desk or any updates about why it is late.

I’ve tried emailing the info address and got no response. Customer service on Instagram has been more responsive, but I was told first that there were warehouse problems and then that they ‘thought the desk had already been shipped, but there must have been a mistake’. Nothing seems to have been done to fix it.

Poor initial service but great product and follow up communication once alerted on this site

I ordered with express delivery (1-2 days). I live less than a 4hr drive from Manchester where the company is based yet the courier still hasn’t received the order and I have received no reply to an email asking about why the additional express payment has not led to express delivery.

This is hugely disappointing considering the review and support form trusted UK companies like the Guardian

Reading the reviews here I wonder if/when I will event get delivery.

Update - a day after I posted this feedback…

i assume an alert from trust pilot made difference (see below) efficiency of return and delivery was very prompt and much appreciated after this and I am very pleased with the quality and style of the product.

Excellent service once a response arrived so can’t fault that but… the fact that it took a complaint on a public forum to trigger and not my email or just delivering as advertised only bumps the score up to a 3 overall:
5/5 for the product
2/5 for the poor response to direct communication and initial delivery issue
