I found Harry Benmore mattresses online when I was searching for local mattress makers/suppliers as I wanted to avoid the big mattress stores with the big labels and big price tags. How lucky I was to find Harry Benmore!
His website had a link to connect with him via WhatsApp, he replied to a few queries and sent me accurate instructions on how to get to his shop in Essex. He was there to see us and went through all the options of mattresses, pros and cons of each. My schedule was tight for the delivery of the mattresses and Harry went out of his way to make the delivery arrangements within my timeframe. And in the end he was able to arrange delivery 2 days before the scheduled date, which was amazing!
The mattresses are great, very comfortable, with his guidance I’m positive I made the right choice.
I can’t recommend them enough!! If you are looking to buy a new mattress, avoid the big stores, support local businesses, and save money too!!

Love my mattress, the service from Harry was great. I was thinking about changing my mattress for another tension and although I didn’t in the end, Harry made it very easy to do if I wanted to.

Great communication regarding delivery with updates and communication from courier on day of delivery.
Mattress itself is 10/10 - double seasons mattress. Great for someone who likes the slightly springy but still with great support.

I'm so pleased I opted for a mattress from Harry rather than one of the bigger much more expensive brands. From start to finish the service from Harry was excellent, and the delivery was extremely prompt.

Never again will we buy from big super stores. From initial contact with Harry we were impressed by his knowledge and his ongoing professionalism and helpfulness. Our mattress is of excellent quality and was delivered by friendly dedicated staff who were very professional. Thoroughly recommend all round. But local, buy from British craftsmen. Thank you.

We were able to look at a wide range of mattresses which, in the main, are all made in the UK. The mattress we chose is just as we expected, happy customers and happy to recommend Harry Benmore.

Hands down, the best mattress I’ve owned. Went for the Alpaca, it’s so good I bought my mum one also (we both returned our Simba ‘Earth’ hybrids after finding the quality & customer service to be unsatisfactory).

I never usually write reviews but I feel like Harry and his company deserve all the best reviews. I went for hybrid mattress and it had to be the comfiest mattress I have slept on. I used to wake up every morning with back pain but since getting my new mattress from Harry I haven't had this problem. His customer service is amazing, all my questions were answered straight away, the delivery was quick and Ben and his colleague (delivery guys) were super lovely and helpful even with bringing my mattress up my tight staircase and hallway to my bedroom. They kept me up to date with their whereabouts and how long they will be throughout the morning which helped massively. I will recommend everyone to buy from Harry. Amazing value for money.

The whole purchasing experience was exceptional. Harry’s shop manager was excellent. The delivery guys were exceptional and the product was very exceptional. Having swapped a sinking Simba for one of Harry’s Alpaca super king linked mattresses I am in heaven. No more shoulder pains, back pain or hip problems. My sleep is now undisturbed, deep and very relaxing.
Harry you deserve every success and the customer experience was super super fantastic.

overall a really good experience mattress is great just been waiting to leave a review till we had slept on it for a few weeks ,but after 3 weeks it's totally fine and better than the last one we spent a lot more on and didn't last 4 years.So overall great and love to use a small family company rather than large store

Excellent! I first saw this company being advertised online. I wasn’t sure about buying without trying but then I realised the showroom was about half an hour away from home so I went along to see. I met Harry and he showed me all the mattresses. I had already chosen what I thought I wanted and when I tried it, it was exactly as described so I needn’t have worried! Harry was super helpful but certainly not pushy.
I’m really pleased with my mattress, really comfortable and very well made, exactly what I wanted.

Responsive, easy to deal with, excellent business. The mattress (hybrid, king) is extremely comfortable and soft. I’m pleased with the choice I went for! I should add, they delivered to fourth floor with no trouble.

Mattress is fantastic, delivery was very quick and communication was great from the start. We had bought a mattress from dreams earlier this year but it was so firm and uncomfortable, even with a topper. We replaced it with one of Harry’s and the quality is exceptional. V v comfortable with no topper necessary. Highly recommend.

What an incredible experience! We were tossing up whether to go with Emma or to support a small local business like Harry Benmore and I'm so glad we chose the latter. Our '5'0 Seasons Mattress' arrived within 2 weeks from Harry himself with the most friendly and genuine service in this world of automated emails and unauthentic brands. Even though we went for the lowest price mattress on offer, I'm so impressed with the superb quality of the materials and construction, but most importantly... it's COMFORT. I'd say it took maybe 2 nights to settle in properly, but each night it felt like it was getting even more comfortable. It's particular noticeable when you first lie down, it's incredibly supportive (for two 40yr olds with bad backs!) and we've never slept better. We've had the mattress for a couple of months now and I actually look forward to going to bed now knowing that I can sleep on my back without pain, which I wasn't able to do on our previous mattress.

There's only one tiny bit of constructive feedback I have and that is that you can feel the other person moving on the mattress (rolling over, getting out/in). I would love it even more if it could somehow be more stable with 2 people, BUT this is the most comfortable mattress I've ever had so maybe that's just the payoff for comfort. It means your sleep can be disturbed by the other person getting in/out of bed or when they roll over. Maybe Harry will be able to comment on whether their more premium mattresses combat this issue as it may well be because we've gone for the lower cost option. It's really only a small issue though and does not change my score of 5 stars.

I absolutely love our mattress and would not hesitate to recommend Harry Benmore to anyone looking for a great mattress. I feel good for supporting local and I hope to buy our next mattress through them again when the time comes, or if we need a second mattress in the future.

From the first message on instagram all the way through to the friendly professional delivery staff, what a fantastic experience.

We visited the show room to get a feel for the product and whilst there were educated on what goes into making a quality mattress.

Harry was honest about his products and did not try to upsell us once, he sold us the product that was right for us.

A couple of weeks later we had two very friendly gentleman arrive with the mattress who were more than happy to get the mattress upstairs, round tight corners and into the room of choice. They took all the packaging with them and did this all with a smile on their face.

What a pleasant experience. We will be coming back for the next purchase and sending anyone else who asks Harry’s way too.
