Dined at Harry's at St Christopher's Place. We were a party of 4 and all of us were underwelmed. We asked for a takeaway box to which we were told they don't do takeaway for their pastas only the pizza! That's a first!! The waiter seemed to be in a hurry to attend to us. Definetely not worth the service charge they charge on the bill for poor service!! The final straw was when he kept hovering to tell us we had to leave the table not even a minute after we paid the bill. At least give us a few minutes to get up!!! The food was okay not sure it was worth the hype.....
As a food blogger and YouTuber I am appalled at how my friend and I were treated. I went to Harry’s at st James street and received a rude and aggressive welcome. We asked if there was a table available the man standing at the entrance said no bye. There were plenty of tables available and we looked online and there were plenty of availability. I asked him again and said there is availability online and he started arguing with me and threatened to cancel my booking. He started shouting to me at the entrance infront of other customers. It was like he was discriminating against my friend and I. We travelled all the way from the other side of London to attend Harry’s and this is how wer were greeted. This event happened on 14th August at 21:50 and we made the booking for 10:15. He had brown hair and an accent and was wearing a blue suit. I recorded the whole ordeal so I will reach out to the head office or management of Harry’s. Absolutely disgusting service!!!
We met our family last night at Harry’s bar in the Safari centre. Early about 6.30 before dinner.dressed nice in named logo clothes and watches(not that this should make a difference)just painting a picture and they were sat at a front table with the next one for two vacant.
We were told bluntly that we could not sit there it was reserved.45 minutes later still no one sat there people coming and going just walking in sitting at the front.
It was not reserved it was our age and faces that didn’t fit.The waiters seat who they want there. We have been drinking here since it was built,we will not on principle spend our money there again neither will our family, who are that age range.I am sure it will not close for two glasses of wine but it might help others spend their money in places that appreciate them.
Visited this place, our partners were already inside whom we were meeting. Refused entry for being male. Felt totally discriminated against and one of my friends felt it was because he was gay and wasn’t being allowed to meet his partner inside. Awful attitude from both the door staff and upon being requested the manager.
Food was ok, I was expecting more though, the size of the coke bottle was a mini one and not the average size (so enviably I had two @ a cost of £7.50!) service was average. Because we decided not to order desserts, they were desperate for us to leave, upon leaving not even a thank you from the staff standing at the entrance.
I requested to charge my phone many times (I only had a wire and no plug) and I kept on getting fobbed off. I left with a dead phone. It’s quite annoying considering my friends and I spent quite a bit of money at the restaurant.
Not sure I will be returning in a hurry.
Booked on Qandoo four days in advance for 12.30.
Restaurant calls five hours later to say they are cancelling it but could re-book me at 3.30 as if they were doing me a favour. Been there well over 100 times. Never again. If they can't get their act together on their booking systems (or via third parties) then I can only recommend it's not worth the hassle.
