This company is terrible. My lawn mower battery died after using it twice and I have been waiting for customer service to pick up for over an hour.
Hart tools are a joke
Hart tools are a joke! Battery was absolutely defective after less than a year. Would not charge. Dealt with customer service, 7 different people! 7 explanations of the same problem, 7 times submitted serial numbers! Had registered when I bought them. Claimed they didn’t see it. So now they want me to spend $160 on a replacement battery. No thanks. DO NOT BUY

PLAN for your Hart Tool to Break
Bought a HART electric trimmer, it broke, took it back for a refund. Bought another one (thinking the first one was a lemon), it broke. Unable to get it serviced BECAUSE I HADN'T REGISTERED THE PRODUCT! So the warranty is void. What? In other words, the expectation is that the product will break, and they don't want to be responsible, so they make you jump through a bunch of hoops so you won't be able to claim the warranty. And even if I took it for service, it's 40 miles away! I will never buy another HART product. I also noticed they took down their Hart Tools review page. Now I understand why.
Harttools.com was offering a 10%…
Harttools.com was offering a 10% promotional for first- time purchases. I registered my email and phone number (required to get promo code). I never received the promo code. I went ahead and made the purchase because I needed the item and emailed asking for the 10% to be credited back to my original form of payment---the customer service department "worked" on my issue for several days, and then sent an email giving me a promotional code for a future purchase. I asked again if it could be credited back to the current purchase since that was what the website stated was for "first-time purchase"---since I was a first-time buyer and have no idea whether I will be purchasing again from this site, this was not an acceptable solution to me. They then came back and said the item I purchased was not eligible for the discount. I also had to pay a $20 restock fee on an item I purchased and returned in less than a week's time. Very poor customer service--they won't honor the 10% discount they advertised---I assume they just wanted my email and phone number--I have now blocked both and reported them as spam. In the days we live in---Harttools ought to take note of how other companies are succeeding....when you don't treat your customers fairly...they go elsewhere.
Bought a 40 volt weed eater the battery…
Bought a 40 volt weed eater the battery is defective. Only used it a few times. Thats pretty bad when the string that came on it out lived the battery. Tried calling many times just to be put on hold for over a hour. I fo not think they even have anyone there in the customer support center. One of my calls I was on hold for 1hr 40 min. Still no help. I sent a email will see how that goes. If I get help and a battery replacement I will update this review.
Bought the blower and trimmer
Bought the blower, and trimmer together. Have used them for a week now, so far am happy with there performance.
Jack Ford Hart Lawnmower scam
Jack Ford appears to be running a scam operation with Hart Lawn Mowers and their 6 Volt battery. Mr. Ford, VP of Sales for Hart Tools knows that specific battery will not last a year under any circumstances, but stills continues to sell the defective battery which causes nightmares for the consumer. When you call customer service, you wait on hold for hours and when you talk to them they tell you they're going to do something and never do it or they ask for some ridiculous information 'like the model number of the battery (there is only one model for the battery)' to proceed knowing you don't have handy or just simply hang up on you.
I have purchased 3 Hart portable fans
I have purchased 3 Hart portable fans, an Edger, a blower, 3 battery chargers,5 batteries and a Hedge trimmer. With the exception of the Hedger the rest of our Hart tools are great. The Hedger stopped working after 3 uses, the warranty is expired. My issue is with Hart customer service, I have been trying to contact Hart for over a month,no response. Every time I emailed them I was told to call however no one answered.
The Hedger has a bad gear box and not worth the cost to repair it. I simply wanted to inform Hart of this problem for future reference should someone else have this problem. Hart obviously could care less about customer satisfaction or their customers. I will never purchase another Hart product and will advise everyone I know to do the same.
It is evident that Hart only cares about selling their products and customer service is not a priority!
