Our 18 year old Harvey Jones fitted kitchen was looking good (oak units and black speckled granite worktop) but I fancied a change. I enquired at the Islington showroom if it was possible to have the units painted. After a visit to discuss colours we decided to use two colours and replace the worktop and splash back in part of the kitchen.
The results are stunning - it feels like a new kitchen for the fraction of the cost. HJ staff were very helpful during the whole process and we would like to thank Sabrina Fu for her help with the initial design process, Siobhan Collins for support with coordinating the installation team, Darren Seaby for responding quickly and resolving any issues during the refit. Special thanks to Andrew Griffen and Jerome Thomas for excellent work - your high standards of workmanship and attention to detail were very much appreciated.

We had a fantastic experience with Harvey Jones from beginning to end.

We first visited the Nottingham showroom, where we were greeted by Beth. She was incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and helpful in guiding us through our initial thoughts and ideas for our kitchen. During the design phase, Beth was meticulous with the details, asking thoughtful questions about how we would use the space, what cupboards we would need, and how everything would work day to day. Whenever we had a query or wanted to make an adjustment, she was always happy to help and was great at bouncing ideas around to make sure we felt completely confident in our choices.

Our site surveyor, Steve, was equally excellent. He was always punctual, thorough, and approached everything with real attention to detail. He sanity-checked the plans carefully and was always available to answer technical questions, making us feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.

Tony, our kitchen fitter, has gone above and beyond in every aspect of fitting our kitchen. Any issues that came up were handled with care and practical solutions that suited us, without ever cutting corners. His workmanship and attention to detail really reflect the quality and reputation of the Harvey Jones brand.

Overall, we can’t fault Harvey Jones or the team behind the design, survey, and fitting of our kitchen. The whole experience has been professional, reassuring, and genuinely enjoyable. We’re absolutely delighted with the result and would happily recommend them.

We have recently completed the design phase of our new kitchen with Holly Potter at Harvey Jones Chester, and the experience has been exceptional from start to finish.

From our very first meeting, Holly took the time to truly understand our family, how we live, and what we needed from our kitchen. Rather than focusing solely on aesthetics, she invested a huge amount of thought and effort into understanding how our busy household functions, ensuring the design would not only look beautiful but also work perfectly for everyday family life.

Holly has an incredible ability to combine creativity with practicality. Every aspect of the design has been carefully considered, and it is clear that she has created a space that will become the beating heart of our home. Throughout the process, she listened attentively, welcomed our ideas, and expertly guided us towards solutions that we would never have considered ourselves.

Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and she has consistently gone above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free.

We currently have a Harvey Jones kitchen which still looks great and has been the heart of our home for 21 years. We will be moving to a new property later this year which includes a kitchen/diner and utility room renovation. From the very first visit to the Chester showroom, Lewis listened carefully to the brief and has created an imaginative layout which includes everything on our wish list and more. His attention to detail and thoughtful approach to every aspect of the design journey has been outstanding. We are thrilled with the final kitchen design and the excellent customer service from Lewis has made the whole experience a pleasure.

Harvey jones stores and staff in multiple areas were consistently great to deal with as we were checking out kitchen suppliers for our home renovation - they all where a key reason for us choosing the brand as well as the obvious quality. When we then moved to planning and building our kitchen, our contact and project leader was Bethan Greet- who was, and is, a superstar. Beth was based in Nottingham and some miles away from us, but was always available on the phone or for site visits and her positive attitude and enthusiasm helped us through a number of delays caused by our council (not Harvey Jones). I can honestly say that Beth is the best representative of customer service I and my wife have had dealings with - and we are getting on a bit.. The fit out teams and painters where also excellent and our finished kitchen is fantastic. We would use Harvey Jones again as our preferred supplier and we highly recommend them for your kitchen.

Experience badly soured by Harvey Jones failing to return a £2k refundable deposit.

We started the process of getting a kitchen from Harvey Jones with a free consultation and quote. We paid a deposit to secure the quote, agreeing it would be refundable based on very clear communication from us that we might not be able to afford the kitchen. So far so good.

It was about three months later, after the costs of our kitchen extension ballooned beyond what we anticipated, that we requested the deposit back.

Since then, we've been met with constant delays and excuses.

We only get updates about the refund when we ask, and replies consist of the consultant repeating that they're not authorised to make the payment, and need to ask their manager. We're not copied in to communications with said manager or have been contacted by Accounts, providing assurances of when we'll get refunded.

Now we're having to ask our bank to try to claw back the funds and may eventually have to go to a small claims court.

I do not recommend working with the company. Once they get your money, it's a battle to get it back.

UPDATE: HJ refunded me soon after I sent them a link to this review. I've updated the rating from 1 to 2 stars on account of the refund being issued.

We now have a kitchen that we love which is down to the excellent care and attention of Claire, Helen and Steven. They were all incredibly customer focussed by listening to our needs and caring about what they produced always ensuring that we were happy. They were very professional with an overriding sense of kindness especially when things did not go to plan. They say ‘you buy from people’ which in our case is very true. From the very first meeting with Claire in the Harrogate showroom she inspired us which she maintained right the way throughout the process. We would have no hesitation in recommending Harvey Jones who have produced a stunning product which we are very happy with. Thank You

For those of us with busy lives or a sense of overwhelm when it comes to designing a kitchen, Charlotte is your solution! We have a small kitchen, wanted it all, and she patiently and expertly navigated us through a challenging design. It was like having a friend hand hold us through the process, who was beyond friendly, extremely experienced, brilliant at her job, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Great experience working with Charlotte at the Hove branch. Having never previously worked with HJ I didn’t know too much about them but after our initial consultation I left the Hove showroom confident HJ was the company I wanted to work with. Charlotte was fantastic, full of great ideas but always in mind of my budget, happy to make changes and incredibly patient. It was a pleasure working with Charlotte and the HJ team, would highly recommend.

We went to Harvey Jones for help with a kitchen design for our remodelled house. We were impressed with the quality of construction and finishing of kitchen cabinets offered, in particular the flexibility in the sizing which gave us a better fit that a strict modular approach.

We were guided through the design process by Lewis, who was always approachable, positive, energetic and professional. He clearly has a lot of experience and was very helpful guiding us through the design and selection of colours, worktops and fittings. He also helped us balance our aspirations with the costs to help us keep in budget.

She was so efficient, fun,responsive to every query I had, and followed up with all the different aspects of our refurbishment so that the whole process was easy, enjoyable and painless! The final result is such a joy, it feels like a new kitchen! Thanks to her input, attention to detail and efficiency, my husband and I can have daily pleasure in using the kitchen.

Harvey Jones installed a kitchen for me 20 years ago - still going strong - but was being repainted (for the second time since installing) and needed a refresh. I was looking for help choosing new handles, and a supply of new hinges, and a door front so we could install an integrated dishwasher (we had a freestanding one when installed). Annalisa in the Sheen branch was amazingly helpful. She gave me advice on handles - sent me photos of similar ones in their showroom -organised samples to be sent - and organised the supply of the chosen handles and other things. Even though I was just refreshing an existing kitchen, she could not have been more helpful - particularly as I am so disorganised, it all needed doing quickly!

Walked into the bournemouth showroom in the early stages of planning our home/ kitchen rennovations, Anna couldn't of been more helpful. She took the time to understand our idea's/ wants and needs while offering realistic options to match our budget. I would recommend Anna and the bournemouth showroom to anyone!

Both went out of their way to help solve a couple of issues with my Harvey Jones kitchen which was installed many years ago. Would definitely recommend a visit to their showroom.
