Service with a smile

A big thank you to Kieren and Sean who delivered 6 chairs to me and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They called about half an hour before arriving, brought the chairs to the room I wanted them in and all with a smile. Thank you very much,

Perfect furniture delivery

The 2 delivery men who delivered our recent bed purchase (Paul & Chris) were a credit to Hatfields. Both were very polite and helpful - and the bed is fine!

Poor Service

Had a single chair for over a year now.. Original was delivered with the seat not level. Agreed to a repair but after seat was replaced exact same problem. They agreed to exchange.. 10 weeks later heard from them to say that the replacement had a tear so we had to wait a further 7 weeks..this one just turned up with same issue plus other problems so rejected it..Hatfields response was that there was not a problem with the replacement, which there clearly was..Offered for the items to be collected and refunded..the issue here is that we are over a year on and found other furniture and decorated to match..to bring to a close requested a 20% refund, which felt was fair for a faulty item. They refused this and offered £50 which we had no choice other than to accept.. just wanted to make other people aware of their approach with no regard to ongoing problem and inconvenience..We were surprised after being a loyal customer for many years.. Will now use Glasswells of Ipswich 100% of the time in future who really do look after their customers.

We did everything possible to rectify the manufacturing issue you felt there was, including arranging repairs and a full new replacement. The final replacement chair was carefully inspected by the manufacturer’s quality control team and our team here and, in our professional opinion, was of perfect quality. However, when you chose to reject it, we immediately offered a full refund as an alternative resolution.

We completely understand your frustration with the delays and inconvenience caused, and we regret that this situation did not meet your expectations. Our aim has always been to provide a fair and reasonable outcome — whether that was accepting the replacement chair, which we believed to be perfect and offered with a goodwill gesture, or receiving a full refund.

We value your loyalty over the years and are genuinely sorry that this experience has led to your disappointment.
