Went to hathaways to get a divorce, got told at the start that it would take 6 to 9 month its now been 13 months and no where near done, rang 4 times and emailed keep getting fobbed off with excuses that zara is with a client will get her to ring you back no call back rings again zara is really busy and has a lot on her plate sorry but thats not my problem, is zara that busy she dont have 5 minutes in her day to ring me back, goes down to the office to see her gets told by the receptionist no one is here today everyone is working from home whats your name and I will mark it as a red flag for someone to call you ASAP still waiting, quick enough of emailing though when they want money off you not too busy then, would not recommend this company to anyone!

These are so bad, it's funny. They certainly deserve their awful reputation. A 'senior'sales person who works 2 days a week and returns literally zero calls or emails. Being told 'they don't chase vendors' and 'we do not do second viewings until after 4 weeks' They kept details from me when they knew of an issue that was holding up my purchase, and ghosted me, as I do not think they had the guts to tell me. After almost 4 months of waiting to complete on a chain free sale, I had to pull out. But I actually did get my first callback - trying to convince me to carry on with the sale! Avoid this dreadful place at all costs.

Obstructive and rude. I would rather miss out on a property than deal with them.

Beware this estate agent! They put 'guide prices' on all their properties which are unrealistic. They are 'come and get me' prices. This encourages a bidding war among buyers which is not a pleasant experience. They ask for 'full and final' offers multiple times which deliberately pushes the price of the house up. I've been told this is illegal by other estate agents although Hathways dispute this. Raised the concerns with them directly and got a very blazé/'standard' response. Would avoid like the proverbial plague!!
