The venue seats 1,400 guests for concerts, plays, musical theatre, comedy, dance, and film. Hawaii Theatre Center is operated by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving the building and presenting performing arts. Hawaii Theatre Center is one of the few fully restored historic venues on Oahu, with original 1922 architecture, a 1,400-seat single-room layout, and acoustic properties suited to both touring concerts and intimate theatre. Every seat is within roughly 100 feet of the stage. The building itself is part of the experience, not just the backdrop. Hawaii Theatre Center regularly presents family-friendly programming including family musicals, classic film screenings, dance performances, and educational matinees.
