To be fair, there were hidden fees tacked on at checkout, you know, which is unacceptable for a company this size! Hope they fix this!
Terrible customer service. I had an item missing from my order and have reached out to customer service multiple times to get it resolved. Every time, I receive the same automated response saying they are “looking into it,” but I have yet to receive a real update or see any actual attempt to resolve the issue.
I should have read the reviews before ordering because, had I done so, I never would have purchased from this company. The product itself is fantastic, but the customer service experience has been extremely frustrating.
There are plenty of other reputable companies offering the same products, so there’s really no reason to put yourself through the aggravation. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Shocking customer service. Called them 4 times on the number provided, prob a chargeable line, and at the end of the message, transferring you to agent just ends the call. Terrible. TS you need to walk the talk. Also says 3 shirts for 99 or 4 for 139, guess what that doesn’t work either wanted charge me 4x69

Shirts seem to be good quality, but run large. I am trying to do a return and it’s a nightmare, impossible to get hold of a human and the instructions are unclear. I’d have no problem if they just had a clear process. I went to dhl and they said it didn’t have a label, on their site the instructions make it seem like there is shipping included. Terrible experience very sad. I want to love the shirts but this will be a one and done experience for me

Great quality, i bought the mens white linen shirt 2 months ago its amazing however I decided to buy the white linen shorts expecting them to be white but I received a cream pair of shorts and now to return they even charge me shipping and yet they did not honour the obligation of supplying white linen shorts.
They had earned a customer but with this last experience they have lost the customer.

I should've come to Trustpilot to read the terrible reviews before buying from this company.
I purchased a shirt size 16" collar. When it arrived, despite being labelled 16" it actually measured at 17" (I note that another reviewer on this page had the exact same problem). I liked everything else about the shirt so I contacted customer service and agreed to return the shirt for an exchange, with the request that someone take the replacement shirt out of the packaging and measure it, to avoid the same problem happening again. No problem, I was told.
After they received my original shirt back I was contacted and told that the warehouse staff had measured the collar and according to them, it was correct. This is an absolute lie, and demonstrably so - why on earth would I return a shirt and ask for the exact same shirt but for someone to measure it, if it were correct in the first place? So either the warehouse is lying to customer service, or customer service is lying to me.
In any event, despite my request for an exchange (which is free according to their terms), they initiated a refund without asking me. Not only that, but the refund was £7.95 less than I had paid originally - £4.95 original delivery fee and another £3.00 deduction which so far has been unexplained to me. Terrible service. I'm going to take my dispute to Retail ADR, because I have proof that the shirt was mis-sized, and that Hawes & Curtis are therefore lying and have defrauded me.

First time ordering off Hawkes and Curtis.
Ordered three shirts. The shirts are nice but..
1 of the shirts the button was frayed so I returned this and asked for the a different shirt. Copied and pasted the description of the shirt I wanted from their website and then had an email that my refund has been processed.
I called the customer service to say I wanted a replacement shirt not a refund. I was told that because I didn’t copy the shirt product number it wasn’t clear what I wanted. Even though I copied the product name and size from your website?!
..and there is a £3 admin charge for my refund (that I didn’t want).
I was told I would have to repurchase the product again (additional shipping charges - thanks…..) but kindly refunded the £3 admin charge.
Not a good experience so far.

I have been buying Hawes & Curtis shirts for almost 20 years and you have long been one of my favourite shirt brands. I currently have more than a dozen of your shirts in my wardrobe.
On 28 July I visited the store and bought four shirts to replace some older H&C shirts that I had enjoyed wearing for years, including two Extra Slim Fit Non-Iron shirts in white and light blue.
Unfortunately, the quality of these two shirts seems noticeably poorer than that of my older ones. The fabric feels rougher against the skin, but more importantly, the seams are surprisingly coarse and uncomfortable. When I first wore one in August, I experienced an irritating, prickling sensation across my upper body and initially assumed it was something unrelated to the shirt. Having worn it for the second time yesterday, however, it became very apparent after taking it off that the irritation corresponded to the seam lines.
I contacted Customer Service and was advised that, as more than a month had passed, I could take the shirts back to the store and ask whether they would agree to an exchange or refund. I have decided not to do that — I don't particularly want an exchange if the quality is the same, and I don't wish to spend more time on two shirts.
I am leaving this review instead because I genuinely hope it reaches whoever is responsible for buying, product quality or quality assurance at Hawes & Curtis. Please compare the current shirts with those you were selling several years ago. There is a noticeable difference in both the feel of the fabric and the finishing of the seams.
I have been a very happy customer for many years and would like to remain one. It would be a great shame to see the quality of such a good and long-established shirt brand decline.

Shipping and customer service are horrible. I received someone else’s package (a sample of powdered mushrooms) because the shipper put the label for my package on somebody else’s package. Hawes and Curtis’ customer service is AI and totally useless. Stick with powdered mushrooms, no shirt, and out a bunch of money.

Wish I’d read the reviews first. Computer says no!
I initially bought one shirt from Hawes & Curtis to try the brand and check the quality. The quality seemed good, although the 16.5-inch collar was slightly too large for me.
Rather than return it, as I could still wear it, I decided to take advantage of an email offering an additional 10% off the sale prices and order another shirt with a 16-inch collar.
I attempted to place the order four times on the final day of the promotion, but every time the checkout failed to progress beyond the Apple Pay stage.
I contacted customer services the following day, explained exactly what had happened and asked whether they would honour the promotional price. Their response was simply that the promotion had ended and discounts could not be applied retrospectively. They also pointed out that nobody else had reported the same problem, as though that somehow meant it could not have happened to me.
I was trying to buy during the promotional period and only missed the price because their checkout would not complete my order. Providing a discount code would have been a very simple and reasonable solution for a new customer who wanted to make a second purchase.
Instead, it was effectively: “Computer says no!”
Having now seen Hawes & Curtis has an overall Trustpilot rating of just 2.2 stars, I wish I had read the reviews first.
Shame on you, Touker.

I ordered a shirt from Hawes & Curtis size 16 as my correct size is 16, unfortunately I did not try on the shirt until the day I need to wear it. The size of the neck was not true to size, it is actually 17 inches and bigger than my neck.
Product: Slim Fit White Twill Non-Iron Shirt

I honestly never expected to have this kind of experience with Hawes & Curtis.
Order #: GE13183077553GB
Return Request #: RMA12154356
I purchased this shirt specifically because I was planning to wear it for my wedding on August 28th. Unfortunately, the shirt didn’t fit me. That part is completely fine — I have absolutely no problem returning it and getting another shirt.
All I wanted was a shirt that fits so I can wear it on my wedding day.
The problem started when I tried to make the return. Because I live in the United States, I discovered that I would have to pay for the return shipping out of my own pocket.
I had already paid for the shirt. I was simply trying to return it because it didn't fit and get another one. I never expected that I would have to pay additional money just to send it back.
I contacted Hawes & Curtis hoping they would offer a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, I kept receiving responses from AI instead of being connected with a real person, and I never felt like anyone was actually taking responsibility for helping me resolve my case.
I have tried to resolve this peacefully and through the proper channels, but I am honestly exhausted.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that this shirt was supposed to be my wedding shirt.
I am getting married on August 28th, and we are now only days away from my wedding — and I STILL don't have a solution.
I am not asking for a free shirt.
I am not asking for anything unreasonable.
I ALREADY PAID FOR THE SHIRT.
I simply want to exchange it for a shirt that fits without having to spend even more money because of a return process that was not made clear to me.
After trying repeatedly to resolve this privately, I have reached the point where I feel I need to share my experience publicly so other customers can understand what happened to me.
I truly hope someone from Hawes & Curtis sees this review and decides that a real human being should take responsibility for my case.
Because behind this order number isn't just another customer.
It's a groom who is getting married on August 28th and who just wanted a shirt to wear on one of the most important days of his life. 💔
I don't want a fight. I don't want anything for free.
I just want my shirt.

The quality has gone down significantly since a few years ago. Recently purchased 4 polo shirts, all medium size, they should have been identical except the color but a few are different lengths and shape. Two of them are about three inches longer than the other. I would post a photo but Trustpilot does not allo it. Also this must be the only shop that doesn't accept gift cards to be used for online shopping, you have to travel to the store to use it. I will continue buying from Charles Tyrwhitt, they have never disappointed me.

Visited the Brent Cross branch.
Staff showed poor customer service and lots of unwanted attitude.
Wanted to purchase more but left only purchasing a few items.
Instead i went across the floor to Charles Tyrwritt who served me better although there wasn't much difference in price.

The color is completely off, and the quality is not what I expected! I ordered linen khaki but received a dark green and olive shade that I can't quite identify. The fabric isn't the premium glossy, premium material I was hoping for that price.

Bought the suit for £200, and spent over £200 getting a tailor made by myself. Thanks to their store refused to do tailoring and exchanging. 0 customer service

Great shirts awful company. Poor communication and pass the buck between different sections. I was charged twice and they sent out a duplicate order. They now expect me to pay the return postage which is nearly as much as the shirts cost.
Great quality shirts but i will never buy from them again.
Use Charles Thyrrit instead.
