Gave this fella (haze guitar repair Lucan) a brand new fender tele pro 2 to set up as i wanted lower action with no fret buzz, it was 6/64 at low E, charged me €300.00. Said it needed a fret leveling, and possibly neck level at the body. I left new strings for him to put on after the work, 10 days later picked up guitar, action was still at 6/64ths with my old strings still on it and the new ones still in the case. Have just received the guitar back from a real luthier and he informs me that in his opinion, there has been no work carried out on this guitar. Which I suspected. Stay away, if he senses that your a novice, he will take advantage.

Thank you for your feedback. I’ve checked my records and I can see that your Tele arrived with an action of just over 5/64” and left with about 4.5/64”. Neck relief was improved from .011" to .007”. In addition, a neck ski-jump that was causing notes to buzz and choke was addressed, as was a problem keeping the neck heel from sitting flush in the neck pocket. Regarding strings, they are always replaced during setup or fret level work. If a customer supplies strings, I’ll default to using those. I’m sorry the result didn’t meet your expectations and that I didn’t get the opportunity to discuss this with you directly.
