Therapies for stroke patients at HCAH- what you should know.
I admitted my wife, a stroke patient, to one such center in Navi Mumbai. We were there for the treatment for more than three months. Following are our observations and experiences.
1. Check if HCAH is recognized by your health insurance company to avoid surprise at the end.
2. Pay close attention to the initial assessment of the patient. You should get the assessment in the form of a "Recovery journey with milestones". This will help you to track the improvement of the patient.
3. Insist on knowing the objective criteria for measuring the improvement.
4. Make sure that the Night Attendent (NA) assigned to you is able to walk the patient to the toilet during night.
5. HCAH need to pay attention to points 1 to 4.
6. Some positives.
a) Cleanliness is maintained
b) Complaint management system is easy to
use and is effective.
c) Speech therapy sessions were found to be
effective for the patient.
WORST HOME CARE SERVICE PROVIDER
REVIEW - PUBLIC AWARENESS*
(to be published in the Times of India, Facebook page, HCAH website, Instagram and Twitter)
BEWARE OF THIS AGENCY - *Health Care At Home (HCAH)*
HCAH is an Agency who sends Care Givers to *care for Patients at Home* but is an Agency, not to be relied upon. In addition to this review, please see below, my WhatsApp detailed message addressed to HCAH so that this can educate other people of the horrid experience we have gone through. They deem themselves as India's most trusted out of hospital care provider - *THIS IS FALSE!*
They demand that you make full upfront payment for their services and only then they would send a Care Giver. During this time, anything can happen
- the Care Giver is not capable to do the job as they are brainwashed by the Agency, into lying to the Clients that they have 2-3-4 years of experience, whereas in actual fact, they do not have the education, nor the experience whatsoever, and whatever little they know, is based on their "on-the-job experience", that is if they have worked elsewhere before - lies on the part of HCAH and lies on the part of the Care Giver
- for the period that one has paid for, the Care Giver can say they cannot do the job, leave halfway through the term of the service, at times can abandon the patient and you will face continuous replacements of one Care Giver worse than the other. None will be capable of looking after your loved ones because they are continuously on the phone, giving no priority to your loved one
- at the time of contacting HCAH-Bangalore, everyone involved is available on the phone, giving us the assurance that they will take care of your needs. As soon as the money is paid to them and one faces an issue with the Care Giver, nobody from HCAH is available on the phone
- Even if a message is sent to any of them or on the WhatsApp Group Chat, you are completely ignored, thus causing a lot of stress and anxiety to the family and especially to the bedridden patient
- Care Givers come with having boyfriends whom they spend time with on the phone (including their family) or they are on social media, making videos to put up as reels on their Instagram or Facebook accounts. The care of the patient, is always secondary. During this time, money is paid to HCAH, free food and lodge is provided to the Care Giver and the service one receives from HCAH and their Care Givers, is pathetic.
We would not recommend anyone to go to Health Care At Home (HCAH). The persons that we have been dealing with, who have not been much help to us in a time of crisis and who were never available on the phone to resolve any issues at HCAH, Bangalore Unit, are:
*Gopala Krishna* - Senior Operations Executive - 9742970099
*Chandershekar* - Operations Executive - 7676943402 / 7676943402
*Vishal* - Sales - Noida Head Office for payment - 8657233334
*Gifson* - Assistant Executive - 8220196649
*Mahantesh* - Nursing Supervisor - 9743347415 / 9066598979
*Mamtha* - Retention - 8130078234
*Shivani* - Onboarding - 8130082876
*Nishil Rajpoot* - 8130070467
And other individuals whose number is available on the chat:
*Sahana* - 8884462671
*Girish Chandra Sharma* - 8700509915
Take your money elsewhere for the complete care of your loved ones but DO NOT go to *Health Care At Home (HCAH)*. There main office is based in Noida and they have outlets throughout India. We had sourced them online from Bangalore and their Facebook page, is not exactly what they cater to. We have gone through hell, with using their services for the care of our stroke-stricken, bedridden, paralysed Mum of 83 years, completely reliant on 24/7 care. Our experience with them has been atrocious and their Care Givers do not give their time and care to the patient but are engrossed in their own world of phone calls, movies and social media interaction.
We have experienced the shocking services provided and can confirm that *HEALTH CARE AT HOME (HCAH)* is one of the WORST AGENCY that we have dealt with in the past 7 years of services availed from other Agencies.
DO NOT PAY EXORBITANT FEES WHEN THE SERVICES PROVIDED ARE SECOND-RATE AND EXTREMELY POOR
Seems like a fraudulent company
They promise a bunch but the quality isn’t there. We were very clear in the requirements for my mother but the staff was not told of our requirements. But regardless, the company is not refunding any money. I agree that they had a 7 day minimum but I paid for 15. I got nothing back even though I asked multiple times. This looks like a fraudulent company.
Great time working here

This company never gives respect to their employees. Never maintains record. Always want to deduct salary. It's been 4 months and I didn't receive my salary. When ever you try to contact they give you a schedule of time but never replies to time they gave you.
They mentioned "if you have work with them be patience and wait till the response".
Bad experience.

Excellent Home Nurse Care
I have taken its home nurse care and the nurses were extremely kind and supportive. Immediately after the booking, they provided me the complete body checkup report and counseled me for helpful tips to recover. Now I am leading a healthy life.
