My experience with Health Care Abroad could not have been better.
From day one, they made everything easy, clear, and stress-free. The service was fast, efficient, and professional.
Rosa, my contact in Benalmádena, is one of the warmest, hardest-working, and most efficient people I have encountered in many years. She made the entire process so much easier and helped me feel calm and safe every step of the way.
The clinic where I had my surgery experienced some challenges due to staff shortages, but Rosa was there throughout my stay, speaking with the nurses and doctors and resolving any issues that arose. She even stayed with my mum for extra hours while I was in the recovery room waiting for my hospital room to be ready.
I truly believe this kind of support is invaluable when travelling abroad for surgery. Having an operation is never easy, and having someone there to support, reassure, and advocate for you is an absolute blessing.
Thank you so much, Rosa, and thank you to the entire Health Care Abroad team. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

The team are excellent , they communicate efficiently with me , they are on time , friendly and very personable .
They have prior knowledge of procedures and can give gentle insight to things like not swimming in the pool etc . Cannot fault the team here in the hotel .

Things outside of the team I would like to give feedback on are :
The restaurant told me every evening I wasn’t able to enter for the barriactric soup . This was extremely embarrassing in front of other people attending the restaurant . Every night I had to consistently say I am down for the soup as I can’t have breakfast . This needs addressing for barriactric patients .

I also couldn’t contact Caterina for advice for some reason her number wouldn’t answer when I called .
The team here made contact with her and she did call me and said my concerns would be taken to the consultant but I never heard back with advice in regard to the concern , the second occasion I asked for James to contact her to ask if I could take my movicol as I was struggling with constipation. I also requested the sick cert for work . That was yesterday and I haven’t had a response yet .
Although the above are purely feedback I have to say the experience has been first class . Hospital stay was very good, medical team were exceptional and u was on the whole looked after very well .

Truly unbelievable care. Your well being and overall care is their goal and will give you the best possible care and attention. I have never came across such professional and caring staff. I would highly recommend them for any procedures.

My experience with Healthcare Abroad for my knee replacement surgery in Benalmádena, Málaga, was exceptional from start to finish.

From the very beginning, the medical team provided top-tier care, ensuring I felt safe, informed, and well-cared for throughout the entire surgical process. I want to extend a special thank you to Rosa, the patient liaison in Benalmádena, and David, the driver, whose constant help, attention, and kindness made a huge difference during my stay.

Everything went smoothly, and the level of professionalism and warmth from everyone involved was truly remarkable. I am deeply grateful and would gladly recommend their services to anyone seeking quality medical care abroad.

Good support, always get answers when needed. Clinic was fantastic and the surgeon is amazing , I was lucky to have a friend for a few days as the rep had to leave after my surgery day, I think this varies depending on location you are in, my rep was on hand to answer any questions. I got to meet a lovely other lady also getting the same procedure as me which was reassuring. I would recommend to anyone.

The service was brilliant from start to finish from the pick up to hospital to the surgeon and his staff all so professional. Could not recommend this any higher has been life changing for me not having to live with pain my hip feels so much better

Attention to detail. Everything was so well run, appointments, drivers etc.
I cant praise the staff enough.
Also the paitent care in the hospital was amazing. I honestly couldnt find a fault within the whole process.

Very efficient

Great experience, looked after very well. Was great getting collected at airport with the driver and taken to hotel, the drivers then all week were fantastic and helpful. Hotel was great and hospital also, maybe a few more fluent English speakers at the hospital would be good but overall an absolutely amazing service

When I first contacted Health Care Abroad and gave my PPS number, I could not believe and still can't believe that I had to do absolutely nothing only get copies of my GP letters & HSE reports. The company took care of everything and after 2+ years on a waiting list for the HSE, where you had to keep chasing them- calls- emails etc and still not getting to speak with the right person anytime. It was very strange making 1 call and the ball was rolling. We were told we could travel 2 weeks later, but we had to make arrangements etc. We travelled 3 weeks later and HCA arranged accommodation etc. We arrived Sunday night and were picked up by Sean and dropped to Hotel. Picked up by Sean Monday morning and within 2 hours was dropped back to Hotel after having bloods done, CT scan, MRI, ECG and chat with the anesthesis. Later met the surgeon and all good to go. Wednesday morning was picked up by Sean again and dropped to Hospital were I had my surgery. After an overnight stay in the hospital, I'm relaxing for a week in the sun.
It is amazing when people work efficiently what can be achieved for people's health/pain, quicker treatment, recovery and outcomes.
The people on the end of the phone for HCA were so easy going and competent, and a great asset for any business, especially for health related issues. On the Spanish side to be picked up and dropped off by people who mind you and organise everything and bring you into the hospital and meet the liaison person etc etc. We still cannot believe the efficiency/ speed and a month later my surgery in complete.

Ps you should apply to run a few hospitals at home.

Healthcare abroad just made everything so easy, the drivers taking us for the appointments would do everything to make it as easy for us as possible the hospital was spotless and the surgeon was great to talk to

From start to finish they were excellent they put our mind at ease explained everything as it was happening. They couldn’t do enough for us.

From arrival at the airport to everything in between the attention to detail was 100%. The staff in the hospital where fantastic everyone was so willing to help. No question was to small or to big for them. I would highly recommend Healthcare Abroad.

My experience was 100 percent Travel help was excellent, I was advised on where to stay appointment I chose was Mariam by Dozzz It was clean comfortable, I was in contact at all times with staff that helped me sort out the preparation for my travel and all payments to be made to all hospital Doctors ect, the way everything was organised worked like clock work perfectly, I will be recommending your services to everyone.
Javir my HCA was so good and attentive I was so relaxed in his company I was not afraid of what was a head of me (my treatment hospital experience) Doctors and staff where brilliant (100) from myself.

Right from the airport we were pickup by Javier, him and the team went above and beyond to ensure I felt supported throughout my entire journey. Every appointment was arranged seamlessly, and I was transported to every visit with such professionalism and kindness. It's clear that patient comfort and peace of mind are at the heart of everything they do.

The medical team was simply outstanding. Dr. Evaristo Castedo and Dr. Paloma Martínez were incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the very first moment we met. Their availability was remarkable they were always just a call or what's app away, took time to explain every detail of my treatment, and consistently went out of their way to ensure I knew exactly what was happening at all times. That level of transparency and compassion and availability is rare and deeply appreciated.

To anyone considering treatment abroad, I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.

Incredible service. Basically, get on your flight and you are looked after until your flight home. Healthcare Abroad look after absolutely everything.
You need a CU loan to pay for the surgery? HCA help with that AND do all the paperwork to reclaim from HSE and get the repayment to the Credit Union.
They arrange the hotel, trips from airport to hotel, to and from hotel to hospital for checks, surgery, consultations, physio etc. They even pick up your prescription.
When you look at what they do on their website, you might understandably think "this is too good to be true", especially when compared to the experience you'd encounter at home.
I spoke with a friend of mine who had his hip done at home. 11 days after surgery he was still awaiting the date for his first physio session.
I'm leaving for home tomorrow, 4 working days after leaving hospital .... and I will have had 7 sessions of excellent physio. If I were to do anything differently I would have stayed an extra couple of days for a few additional physio sessions.
This is a fantastic process and HCA, through the most professional, friendly and accommodating team members, carry it out impeccably and always with a smile.

The HCA staff were just outstanding. From airport arrival to hospital & hotel stay the lads were just fantastic.

I know there were others but those 3 men helped us the most...caring, supportive, kindness, helpful and empathetic...can't say enough about them and the HCA team based in the Hotel.

I found the nurses rude in helpful I was there last year and it was completely different last year they couldn’t be more helpful 100% different to this year.nurses telling you to get out of the bed when the physio is telling you not to .
