3 to 5 Business days is actually 10.

Submitted a claim for dependant care refund. After 4 business days of not receiving it I asked multiple times when I would receive it. All of their reps told me "3 to 5 business days." After not receiving it at business day 7, I asked again. I am now told that the "funding cycle" is not complete. I had to ask how long a funding cycle is, and they told me 10 business days. So refunds actually take 10 business days apparently. The other company I used before Health Equity had everything process on the 4th business day.

Health Equity hires Conduent to work…

Health Equity hires Conduent to work for them, there is Ms Carr who passes the rules. Women and age are no value. Only men have value. The women are told and treated without value, respect or understanding. Only men are of value and consideration. Explaining to men is required, not to women. It is terrible to rush women off the phone, giving no attention or concern for their needs or request per orders from Ms Carr. Only men can get explanations

Deceptive and Probably Illegal

Horrendous. They suspended my card, and will not release funds until I submit documentation for a hospital visit. The problem is the charge date does not match the service date, as the doctor charge goes through a day after the visit. They won't accept that. So I cannot access my card, with money that is mine from my paycheck. They claim that they IRS requires them to shut down my access to my money, but I am pretty certain the IRS is not interested in what medical service I received at the hospital with my funds. They know all information but what medical care I received. My insurer knows and approved. Shouldn't that be sufficient?

So many issues

In the last week I've had my hsa card declined for insufficient funds ($40 purchase with over $1k in account), I've had two contributions appear and then get removed (money in account and then gone), and now it won't work on any purchases, and the company said these purchases need approval (eye exam and glasses). That was a week ago, still cannot use card.

Complete garbage company

Complete garbage company. They are incompetent and inept. They cannot even read nor understand simple receipts for FSA remburisment. They simply deny the claim saying the paper work is incomplete. Then after 2 or 3 phone calls complaining to them, suddenly the original paper work is just fine. They are a joke and completely incapable. Avoid them at all costs

**updated*#6 not a nice one, i'm tired of the professional route. its not working

no more nice guy, worst company I have ever dealt with. customer service is the worst and when tired they just hang up on you. generic excuses and no resolve for issues and no management or anyone to talk to . can't email or anything but sit on hold for 1/2 hour or longer just to have them give you generic
answers with no resolve and disconnect on you. I will make it my # 1 priority to get away from this company even if i have to seek council or an attorney. use a bank account if possible.

Stay Away From Health Equity

Stay Away From Health Equity . As a prior customer service agent let me provide some details to help at least someone who comes across this . Health equity will charge you for literally anything !! From $5 for new cards. To $3.95 for a monthly admin fee . To $1.50 paper statement . To $10 a month for investing in their vanguard stocks. You will always come across trouble with your cards . They use Fiserv as their new card company . One thing you’ll notice : your card will decline at random times, your balance will never be fully uploaded onto your card . You’ll have to wait 2-10 business days for the card team to fix the issue. Us agents have to let the customer know 2-3 business days but sweetie you’ll be waiting minimum two weeks just to have your funds properly loaded onto your cards. Your account can be flagged for fraud for any slight change , shopping at a new health related location? Card will be flagged for fraud . Going to a new health provider ? Card will be flagged for fraud. Then you’ll have to call customer service, they have to confirm whether you authorized charged on card or not & wait weeks for fraud team to review your answers & then they decide when they’ll unlock your card . Sweetie HealthEquity will be your WORST nightmare . If I was able to tell customers over the phone to stop using HealthEquity I would’ve but here I am today not to mention wrongfully terminated by this company & I hope I help at least one person steer far away from this company ! I’ve been researching & it seems as if Fidelity is the way to go , from working with this company almost 2 years , please I know all processes & procedures in & out . Not to mention they have no real care for the customer service agents , they are aware of the issues they have , with the balances on cards , to the cards being flagged for fraud for any inconvenience, but they sit the agents on the front line to get bashed by the members & customers while they sit back & let the issues prosper . They open “tickets” up company wide for members accounts & provide dates for resolutions for these issues to be resolved COMPANY WIDE & the issues continue to prosper , the agent continue getting the short end of the stick while this huge corporation takes & takes & takes from its members/ customers . Not to mention if you close your account with them they take $25 out of your balance for their closure fee . My advice, transfer your funds to another custodian such as fidelity (do your own research ) or if you have medical expenses you’ve paid out of pocket that you can request a reimbursement for your balance do so . You can reimburse yourself your whole balance except for $25 which is their closure fee . After reimbursing yourself & you still have $25 left . You can spend that down with your card , drain the account to 0 with the card & then call customer service & have them close your account down . Also during the data breach they had last year , we had so many suspicious callers or fraudster calling in with mbr ‘s information ( I’m talking first last name , d.o.b, social security number & address . If they can call in & use your info to verify themselves through the automated system , agents have to assist them with YOUR account , even if you can tell they are not the account holder , be careful & be safe.Hope this helps <3

I don't understand why my employer…

I don't understand why my employer switch to this company. The customer service is bad and I don't like dealing with people or companies that have bad people that work or run the company. If I need to purchase a medical device I would rather buy it cash than with a card just in case I may need to return it. And I don't want to have to pay out of my pocket and then submit a claim to get reimburse . I don't like dealing with companies that make things more difficult for their customers. I will gather a large group of co-workers to file a complaint to our employee about dealing with companies like this. We "the employees" or the reason for our company's success.

1/6/25

1/6/25 - 3:45pm CST - Sitting on the phone, (as of this review) currently for 53m 30sec while 2 different people came on, asked me what my issue was and then transfer me to someone else. The first gentleman's reason was he was not trained on the system that was required to resolve my issue. Second person asked what my problem was and then said hold, and then after 55 minutes the call ended and I was hung up on. Insanity. Probably not the actual reps fault themselves, but rather the overall management of customer service, training, policies and availability of reps to field and resolves calls appropriately. What a gigantic waste of time, and I still don't have an online account set up to manage my HealthEquity account.

The worst customer service for ever

The worst customer service for ever. The claim department of this company has been always trying to deny the reimbursement from HSA. I have never had so many issues with the reimburse until the employer go with HealthEquity. Besides, the app has so many bugs.

Have been waiting for 2 months to hear…

Have been waiting for 2 months to hear from a rep that my acct was set up. No one calls and I had to call them 4 times. Now they tell me it's my responsibility to call 5/3 bank to alert them and then they will finish setting up the acct. EVEN THOUGH 53 set this up for me, they said they will not be contacting them, that it's on me. Ridiculous

This company took $920 out of my checking acct ! I have no account with them so this is clearly fraud. Do you think I can get anyone to help? Nope! They even had the nerve to send me a thank you email for allowing them to help and closed the case! I’m going to the police next

Healthequity HSA is a fraud

Healthequity HSA is a fraud. They decline your card frequently even at the clinic. When I called it took me 20 minutes only to be rudely disconnected. Avoid this company like plague.

Worthless customer service

I mixed up two receipts, now I've spent about 4 hours trying to unFK their process and customer service keeps telling me to provide a receipt but I have provided the invoice with all of the details. Now they are telling me I have to repay the FSA in order to clear the message instead of just helping me swap the receipts and getting them re-approved. Their customer service team is completely worthless and have no empathy or skills whatsoever.

Run from this company

If I could rate zero stars, I would do that. I transferred two of my HSA accounts from prior employers to Health Equity to consolidate them. My account was then apparently flagged for "potential fraudulent activity" and it has been a nightmare since. I have been told that member services reps would follow up with me three time, but have received zero follow up. I have spent more than 2 hours talking to what is now 5 member services reps plus one supervisor about attempting to get my account unflagged. There was zero communication from Health Equity directly - no email notice or paper notice regarding the flag. The information I have been provided by member services is different each time I speak to a representative and I do not believe that the fraud team understands how to properly evaluate activity for potential fraud.

Health Equity should be investigated by Regulators

Health Equity should be investigated by regulators. They promise corporations that they will help reduce the cost of health insurance. They do so by denying legitimate claims, demanding detailed receipts for routine services then denying them anyway. They have the worst website I have ever seen. After 2 failed attempts to log in with the assistance of their help desk, I still can not log in! I've spoken with work colleagues and so many have had even crazier experiences, I would rate then a zero if I could
