Working with Harriet has been absolutely life changing, not just in terms of the progress I’ve made towards my goals in the short term but MORE SO in terms of my overall mindset around health and fitness and my confidence in the gym in the long term. My goals when starting were to lose a bit of weight, gain strength and to improve my confidence in the gym. After spending many years going to the gym with no real plan or direction, Harriet helped me to structure my workouts in a way that worked around my busy lifestyle. My confidence in the gym improved drastically and sticking to a 3 days per week workout plan that I enjoyed and could see progress with week-on-week kept me motivated throughout. The workouts were challenging, but I loved them and they forced me to try equipment and exercises I’d never done or used before. I have also learned so much from Harriet about the importance of nutrition - I found that sticking to a calorie goal and a protein goal daily, having proper meals with no food restrictions led to less guilt around food and, as a result, helped me reach my goals and sustain them.
I think one of the main advantages of working with Harriet, rather than going for an app or PDF workout plan, was the amount of support she offers and how adaptable she is when creating a programme that is tailored to your specific and individual goals. She was always on hand to answer even the silliest or smallest of questions I had about how to use certain gym equipment, what supplements will support my goals etc. etc. and is just generally such a lovely, kind and non-judgemental cheerleader, who champions your progress, keeps you super motivated and encourages you to be kind to yourself all at the same time! As I’m often using different gyms during the week whilst travelling for work, I sent Harriet videos of what equipment the gym I was in had and she would adjust my plans accordingly so I could complete my workout. We changed around my workout plan halfway through when I started to fall in love with running. Harriet’s incredible knowledge was absolutely game changing as she adjusted my plan to include more stability moves, single leg work and functional moves. At the end of last year I ran my first half marathon and I have been injury free throughout my training thanks to Harriet.
I would absolutely recommend Harriet to anyone who is feeling a bit lost with health/fitness (as I was) and looking to kickstart a fitness journey. It truly will change your mindset for life!
