Garbage drum ensembles

Garbage drum ensembles. I foolishly bought the whole package and the 4 "different" ones have completely redundant sounds and rhythms. Not worth $399 maybe worth $50-$60.
Total waste of money and heavyocity won't do money back guarantee.

So im just going to leave several bad reviews.

Sent me a used serial number

They sent me a used code and took nearly 2 weeks to reply to my support ticket, absolute abhorrent customer support system and massively overpriced products for what they provide...

My worst buyers remorse of the past decade

I spent $449 on a Heavyocity product that I as a pro musician rarely use. This isn’t because it is niche or I don’t buy expensive composing tools from time to time. I most certainly do. It is that the advertising is misleading that you can do so much with what they have when it is a one trick pony making anything I use on it sound identical. The pro and aspiring composers and other genre musicians I meet all the time tell me they share my buyer’s remorse with their Heavyocity products that run high but unlike other brands, won’t do much for your work.

The freebies from Heavyocity are fair, and I could see people loving them. Maybe the lower end products, but no, I hate that every “luxury” Heavyocity product is nearly a bunch of unoriginal loops you’re paying for and very little I can do with originality for my pro work. The loops might work at a cheaper price for more inexperienced musicians or students who would benefit more from a discounted brand with versatility like EastWest Cloud. You should definitely not be spending this kind of money to add a cherry on top to your ice cream sundae, which is what this is, you compose or produce depending on genre entire tracks with products by Spitfire Audio or Cine Samples and then throw in something little from Heavyocity. The only thing Heavyocity does well is convince gullible musicians that we can use their products regularly! Oh, you think it’s me, a single scorned buyer? One of the top composers I know with more IMDb credits than you can dream of feels like I do and uses one of the brands I named, Cine Samples all the time, and Heavyocity for not much. We’ve talked how, his view, this line is too expensive for what it’s worth. He said he was mad I didn’t talk to him sooner because he could’ve saved me $500 I needed on my credit card for this product with tax. It’s one of my purchases collecting interest I don’t need on my card, but I do not regret my other purchases for my work needs, and yours I do.

As a consumer, do not be fooled by Heavyocity’s marketing gimmicks that some pro film composer just LOVES this product because those people all likely get them for free, and perhaps compensation, and you won’t get much use from a single product you buy. Actual pro composers I know use this in conjunction with other products as a cherry, not the whole dessert. The only people who might use it as a primary tool are YouTube music influencers, and the majority seem to be “musician” hobbyists who only hang out on the internet all day and will never make it in this industry, all people who don’t go anywhere in cases of blind leading the blind. Maybe you impress Reddit users who will never have more than 10 ASCAP registered tracks in their lives. But you’re not impressing anyone like me, established industry people or working musician newcomers in the industry.

With what I see on TrustPilot about the lack of customer service. I’m expecting some belittling response from the owner that I don’t know what I’m doing or how great it is because some composer name dropped they gave products to loves it. Let me tell you, as someone who meets plenty of working composers and musicians, no, everyone thinks what I’m saying and we all regret having bought our one or two Heavyocity products. End of story. We are also so over that your products are majority for stereotypical loops or soundalike tools when our work thrives on originality or we can’t get more work.

Ironically, the cheaper Heavyocity products have more appeal to people I meet. The $400-500 range is limited. Yeah, it sounds cool or "epic," but epic tracks all need to sound different. I swear the more expensive stuff makes everything we all create sound identical.

I respect your right to make money and put out tools that sound crisp, but please do not keep up what you’re doing or you’ll continue having the reputation you have I wrote about in this review, an open secret of buyers remorse.

I will happily be a returning customer of Heavyocity if the price to value ratio is improved a lot and things are more useable for people. I have tested out plenty of Heavyocity on other people's computers as they have fun with the software I've bought on mine, and it is amazing how the idea is great but in actual usage, doesn't make our work sound individual unless we put other brands mixed in with it. We should be able to create entire tracks on Heavyocity sometimes for this price range. The QUALITY is absolutely there, the SOUND is, not the INDIVIDUALISM. Not 50% loops to 50% limited sound palettes, if that, and the sound palettes are just not with much range. Other loops-based companies are far cheaper. We aren't making soundalike fan made Transformers scores here for Instagram. We need work to get us hired.

Thank you for your time. Have a pleasant day.

Wanted to check regarding a payment not going through and no response. Check junk and spam folders and nothing. For such a big company and high end software their customer service is terrible. Be careful if you need any support from this company.

Checkout full of bugs, zero email support

Tried to buy Gravity 2 and Damage 2. Checkout interprets my zip code as one of another city (never happened on any other website in my entire life), I had to fix it manually even though I had already put my address, zip code country and city in my profile on their website. As soon as I entered my card information and hit pay I got multiple attempts for the same grand total (fortunately my bank blocked them and cancelled the payment, flagging them as fraudulent). I then contact them through their support email saying I’ve experienced problems with the payments and I can’t use their shop given what happened (I even asked for alternative payment methods without using the shop as I really was interested in their products). To this day I got no answer and the zip code bug is still there in the shop. Abysmal experience and non-existent support (so far), this is not what I was expecting from an high-end sample company (and certainly never happened with other ones I did business with). Total disappointment as far as user experience and sales (nothing to say about their products).

I’m open to change this review if things get sorted but until then that’s what I went through with Heavyocity Media’s website.
