Slightly better than ok food but gym subscription business model

Food was slightly better than ok. but the subscription model was mendacious.

You are not alerted when you have an order coming up and how many days you have to change the order, so when the box arrives it's whatever the service thinks you want, regardless of whether or not you would like it.

Just cancelled my subscription because of this. I will have 2 meals arriving in 2 days (that I won't eat because they include main ingredients that I don't like) and only found out about it when I was randomly checking my bank app and noticed the charge -- and yes, I have all my notifications turned on.

HelloFresh -- a waste of food and money!

Zero notice for order confirmation. No refund.

I got zero notice for a subscription order that was placed. No email, text, notification - nothing! I tried to cancel the order by ringing customer support, but it already went through and couldn't get a refund. Additionally, in the android app, I can't find anywhere to cancel my subscription for future orders, despite the support page saying you can do it in the app.

Good menu choices and good website

Good menu choices and good website. Rewards programme is appreciated. Recipes are good and eaay to follow. Vegetables could be fresher. Deliveries have been late in the day and freshness of goods has clearly deteriorated. Ica packs are nearly fully defrosted on occasions. Use DPD....EVRI are always late in the day

Love the Convenience, Wish It Was Cheaper

I love the convenience of HelloFresh, the variety of recipes available, and that all the ingredients are provided in exact quantities. The only downside is the price, it’s quite expensive. Even with a small discount, it doesn’t always feel worth the cost. I do wish the pricing was more competitive.

Very happy with Hello Fresh

Ok to start with ...

Ok to start with but was getting boring. Then they sent oysters in a vegetarian dish. I had to deal with infuriating chat bot. They apologised for a packing mistake, despite the vegetarian menu actually including oysters. Then they refunded £10 as credit to my account. I have to order more hellofresh to redeem this. I'm not going to order again so they didn't make it right. Useless customer service.

The order window is two short

The order window is two short you need to order your next box day two of receiving the previous one! I keep on missing to make my order and receive random stuff I don’t like I’m going to stop it!

Really impressed with the recipes ..

Really impressed with the recipes ... a good variety of vegetarian dishes, and all have been really tasty so far. The instruction leaflets are easy to follow and handy to keep. It's expensive though, and not cost effective for one person.

Delivery issues

We find the boxes are value for money and easy to do after a long day at work. The only issue I really have is that I had to change the time of one of my deliveries but was unable to, so I had to get my neighbour to get my box, lucky they were home! Also my last delivery was left at my side gate and the driver didn't knock on my door, it was only when I received a text to tell me that it had been delivered and I live on a very public road.

Poor Customer Service and Unwanted Charge

On Saturday, I wanted to check the menu and the prices of the meal boxes. Unfortunately, I was required to provide my card details. On Sunday morning, I discovered that money had already been charged from my account, even though I had never clearly confirmed or authorized the transaction. I immediately contacted customer service to cancel the order, but I was told it was too late. I asked several times for the order to be canceled and for a refund, but unfortunately no action was taken.On Monday, I received a box with vegetarian meals that had been selected automatically, not by me. Please do not claim that customers can view everything without registering and providing card details, because this is simply not true. Your customer service was completely unhelpful.

Great when everything is delivered

Great when everything is delivered, we get free desserts for life but received none so far, even after ticking them off, veg is at its end of life and sell by dates run out in 3 days so DOESN’T last the week .

Just the most perfect solution

When we started I didn’t think I’d carry on with the subscription after the discount period. Wrong. It’s such good value. The meals are great. The variety is exceptional and it means we have variety in our weekly meals. The best thing for me is that I don’t have to do the meal planning and shopping and then all the cooking. I just pick the meals, shopping is done and I enjoy the cooking. The portion size were another worry as I have a man with a big appetite and mine isn’t small! There is usually food left over. No problem with there not being enough. Finally, I like the fact that there is no waste. None at all. If you need parsley you get just enough. You don’t pay £1.50 for parsley half to be thrown or at best thrown in the freezer never to be used. I don’t have to buy a bottle of this or that to stay unused in the cupboard. Perfect! We LOVE Hello Fresh.
