Easy to install and works well
Broken Wheel
I purchased this product approximately two months ago, and the internal wheel is defective. Since reporting the issue, I have been repeatedly told that the replacement part would be shipped within one week and that a tracking number would be provided. Each time, that has been the last communication I receive—no tracking number and no part delivered.
Borderline fraudulent
This product is actually so incredibly bad that I had to go out of my way to leave a 1 star review.
This is borderline fraud , definitely not as advertised, just terrible in every way possible

I use my shade movers everyday and now that there are routines, it is so easy to program them. However, I ordered a sprocket and paid for shipping it and it hasn’t arrived. Could someone check on it? Thanks

So happy to have discovered Ryse! The house I moved into was already outfitted with shades with beaded cords. Ryse allowed us to automate the existing shades instead of replacing them all. Because we have so many windows, replacing them would have been an extremely expensive undertaking...one that would not have happened if not for Ryse. The Smart Shade works great so far. I only ordered one to try out and we absolutely love it! The shipping was quick, the product was easy to set up, and the instructions were very clear. I already ordered more...can't wait for them to be delivered!
Works better than expected. Easy installation.
The installation was easy, except for the initial programming of the units. Be patient, it did work, but it took several attempts. Once installed, the units work great and having access to an app on the phone is an unexpected bonus. Charge the battery packs before you begin - that saved time.

We are very pleased with our shade openers. We bought two cordless ones. I was very grateful for the ease of installation and setting both up. They act exactly like the ones the shade vendor offered to us but as a much more exorbitant price. These are great!

no one said i would need a smart bridge. I have 1 on order now. It worked, I had to hold the button, very slow. Hopefully the wireless smart bridge will fix this
Broke in less than 3 weeks
One of the units began skipping then completely stripped the gear sprocket. These were instalation pretty tight on the chain. Emailed the company for a response then nothing?? Still waiting on a reply. For reference I've bought 4 units and have more windows I'd like to install these on but if this is how defects are handled I'm going to have to search elsewhere!!

2 of the 7 Ryse shades don't work. one has a battery issue and another the unit doesn't work at all. hard to get a hold of customer service. when it works, it works well.

Order was placed Nov 20. Nov 25 invoice was finally corrected. It was paid Nov 25. Dec 06 it was finally shipped … today is Dec 10 and I have not received the 2 units ordered 3 weeks ago…

FACTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Pranav from your technical support team offered me a 30% off INVOICE deal to purchase Ryse SmartShade. It is not that I did not want to buy from BEST BUY CANADA, it is that RYSE offered me a lucrative discount that they could not honour through their regular distribution channels in CANADA. This started the invoicing issues, as well as the work around that was required to invoice, prepare the package for shipping and the actual shipping process through CANADA POST (the manual handling of shipping from your Canadian office)... As a small company I would think that your corporate structure would be nimble enough to handle such a simple and straight forward mailing.
You also go on to advise me that I need to contact Canada Post regarding shipping issues as well as to obtain a letter from them indicating that the parcel has not been delivered.
FACT CHECK:
In speaking with Canada Post Customer service, they were very clear to me that the contract for delivery lies between Canada Post and RYSE. Canada Post cannot share that info with me as I am not named as the SHIPPER on the expidited parcel that I am awaiting.
THIS IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF RYSE TO ENSURE THAT THE SHIPPER OF THEIR CHOICE (LOWEST COST AND LOWEST SERVICE LEVEL) DELIVERS THE PARCEL TO ME ON A TIMELY BASIS. SERVICE STANDARD FOR THIS TYPE OF PACKAGE IS 4 BUSINESS DAYS BETWEEN TORONTO AND EDMONTON.
WITH RESPECT, I SUGGEST THAT YOU STOP SKIRTING YOUR RESPONSIBLTIES AS THE SHIPPER AND LIGHT A FIRE UNDER CANADA POST AND GET ANSWERS AND RESULTS.

It's a worthwhile product if you get the smart bridge
There's nothing "smart" about these blind motors unless you buy the bridge. That function should be integrated into the product. That wasn't clear when i made the purchase. Pairing the bridge with the blinds was a bit clunky. I imagine their help line team is big and busy. It would be nice if there was a by-pass feature that allowed me to manually raise or lower the blinds. The motor is annoying slow. Ryse should offer a solar charger to keep the battery topped off.
Good in concept but not for my apt
Good in concept, but I had wider windows and the Ryse for some reason wouldn’t close my curtains all the ways which kinda defeats the point.
One of the machines also broke during installation.
Although I am pleased the product
Although I am pleased the product, I was unable to drill holes exactly at 90 degrees because of the window frame's shape. Not a fault of the product.
Awful customer service, product never delivered
Product was never delivered. They said they sent it to UPS, but UPS web site says they are waiting for Ryse to send it. I contacted RYSE and they insiste I have to wait three weeks before filing a claim. Needless to say what an awful customer experience. I've asked for a refund, and they are making me wait for that too. Any other company would have sent out a new one given their shipment did not work. I won't ever try their product.

Do not purchase from Ryse
Ryse chose to ship my item with a third rate company I've never heard of. While they claim to have delivered my package, it's nowhere to be found. Ryse's support was entirely unhelpful, and the shipping company is unwilling to help. I've been forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I urge anyone considering Ryse products to look for an alternative, as this company has terrible customer service. If you absolutely need to purchase a Ryse product, be sure to buy it somewhere else so that you have a better chance of getting what you've paid for.

The gentleman that called me seemed to want to end the call quickly. It sound like he knew what he was talking about but one of my other devices doesn’t not work probably now. It keeps knocking itself off. Disconnecting it from the top. Really getting disappointed with this sh….
