AVOID. No way to cancel subscription. Non-existent customer service

Non-existent customer service. After receiving an incomplete and thoroughly disappointing first box, I tried to cancel my subscription which is impossible to do online. I sent an email, as instructed, on 9/4 cancelling my subscription. No reply. On 11/4 I received an email thanking me for ordering a second box for which I would be billed £15.99. I have sent further emails (there is no other way of contacting this company) and they are just being ignored. I assume this is a scam.
It is now 13/4 and I have still received no reply.

I can see that your request to cancel your subscription was sent to us after our cancellation deadline, meaning you were charged for a second box in line with our payment schedules which you can find on our FAQ page.

We thank you for your patience in waiting for a response from us. I can see our customer support team responded to your enquiry on the 13th which was just two working days after your enquiry was sent in. As we state in our auto reply email as well as our website, our customer support is available Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm.

We hope you enjoyed the contents of your box and hope that you will consider giving Hello Yummy another try in the future.

Had an offer of just paying delivery to…

Had an offer of just paying delivery to try these boxes on a rolling monthly subscription.
Paid delivery and tried cancelling straight away after due to financial circumstances.
I’ve had an email back saying
“ Hi there :wave:

Thanks so much for getting in touch!

:yellow_heart: Please note: Our support team is currently out of office from 8th–12th April. We’ve safely received your message, and replies will resume from Monday 13th April. Thanks so much for your patience!

We kindly ask that you only send one message, as multiple emails can slow things down for everyone. We will get back to you as soon as we can

A few quick pointers that may help in the meantime:

Please include your order number and the new address. If your box hasn’t been dispatched yet, we may be able to update it manually.

This isn’t very helpful.

Update

After my initial review, the company responded and confirmed that my subscription has now been cancelled and no further payments will be taken, which I appreciate.

Everything has now been resolved properly, and I’m satisfied that the cancellation has been handled correctly.

My initial concern was mainly around the delay in receiving a clear response when I first reached out to cancel, which caused some uncertainty at the time. I also have not received my first box at that point, so I not currently able to assess the product itself.
Overall, while the experience felt a bit stressful at the start, the outcome has been fair and everything is now sorted.

I can see that our customer service team responded to your request in 3 working days and cancelled your subscription. As you signed up in April, you next charge would not be taken until May, giving plenty of time for us to respond to your enquiry and cancel your subscription in a timely manner before any further charges would be taken.

As stated in the auto-reply, we really appreciate customers patience during a period of required annual leave. We are a very small team, and appreciate your understanding.

BE AWARE

Cancelling is a nightmare. Tried to take money all month and instead of cancelling when they couldn't. They just kept trying. They took 9.99 yesterday and tried to take 15.99 after I sent an email to cancel. I asked for my 9.99 to be refunded that I don't want the box but was meet with refusal and excuses. I don't want the March box. I want my money to be refunded.Be aware. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE EXCUSES OF YOU SCAMMING MY MONEY. I DIDN'T AGREE WITH NOTHING YOU KEEP TRYING TO TAKE MY MONEY ALL MONTH AND AFTER TAKING 9.99 ON THE 31ST OF MARCH YOU TRIED AGAIN THIS TIME FOR 15.99. GIVE MY MONEY I DON'T WANT NO BOX THEY ARE RUBBISH AS I TOLD YOU WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL.

Started our subscription in November…

Started our subscription in November after trying other boxes from different suppliers. Found the items to be excellent and a great choice. Would certainly recommend them to anybody.

Positive Feedback

My experience with Hello Yummy has been a positive 1. Betsy, rectified an issue within a day of me raising it - was a technical fault on the website that they corrected for me quickly & effectively.
I then let them know an item had been damaged in transit - this was more so they were aware and again Betsy went above & beyond to rectify it.
Nothing but praise for Betsy 😊

Decent amount of products for the money…

Decent amount of products for the money can't complain. But unfortunately alot of the stuff not too my liking. I am I my writing this review as I have just sent an email too cancel & have read that someone sent several emails but couldn't cancel till they wrote a review on here. Hense the review.

We like the surprises….

We have been getting these boxes for a while and like the surprise element, although that does mean that sometimes items aren’t things we would normally choose, but that’s part of the fun!
The most recent box was excellent, with recognisable brands and some new or more obscure options too.
The only downside for us is that we have tried new products which we can’t easily find locally, meaning a large on line order is needed if we want to have that item again.
If you are willing to try new products and are happy to accept an element of risk then I would highly recommend Hello Yummy Box. 👍 If not then probably best to purchase your preferred products from your normal outlet. 😆

Phenomenal value for money

Phenomenal value for money and lots of surprises each month. Through the subscription service we have discovered many new favourite brands and products. So many delicious foods, snacks and drinks that we’d never heard of before are now regular buys.

Can't cancel subscription

I gave it a go as first parcel was reduced. I forgot about subscription and second parcel arrived. Since then I've been trying to cancel. Website asks to send an email. I have sent 4 emails. Been waiting for over a week with 0 response. Boxes were meh. Definitely not worth anywhere near £15. I liked maybe 2 things from each box and the rest I have tossed to the bin. Don't bother

I am surprised at the negative reviews, as we personally love our Yummy Box!
Yes, it's not always snacks and can sometimes be things like air fryer cooking oil or truffle mayo - but they're useful items so we enjoy it every month.
The variety is great, the quality is great and it's something that we look forward to arriving each month.

This is a scam they lock you in and you can’t cancel subscription you have to email them they don’t reply wish I’d have checked on here befor I bought the stuff u get are freebies from companies it’s not goodies box of rubbish
