Please DO NOT follow up with Helping Hands if you are in need of rental/utility assistance. Like others who have similar reviews they take your call, info, and end up telling you to look out for a email withing 1-2 hours that will ask for you to submit your lease and other bill that you need assistance with. It's not going to happen. I followed up two times after my intial call. The first call came off as legit then I kept getting the run around, told that my application was pending review, yada yada yada!! Straight bullshit.

Every time you call in and reference a case number, the agent on the phone has no documentation or can't access the case #. Useless when you are calling for assistance multiple times.

I give them a two because if the 3rd party information they send you is something you can work with than coddles I’m not trying to tear a business down, buttttt for us that are truly going through an emergency hardship we do not have time for 3rd party’s when Helping Hands act leads as if they are the ones getting you to ready ready to use help. Not good at all, my time could have been better spent.

This is a scam the page offers no actual help. Just phishing for info

Helpinghandsact is a scam; report them to the FTC, Google, Facebook, and anywhere else you find them.

Invested a little bit of time but was worth it in the end. Their rep guided me to health insurance benefits I wasn’t aware existed for my family member. Thank you Maria 🙏🏼

Would absolutely recommend them to a friend or family member looking for guidance and resources to legitimate products and services.

The phone agent was understanding of my situation and got me to the right place. I was able to lower my cost on home internet without any runaround. If you're looking for a service that actually does what it says, this is it.

I was able to access a directory of Food Banks that really helped my family and I out in our time of need. I am forever grateful.

I was a bit cautious before reaching out to Helping Hands Act, but I can confirm they're completely legit.

The whole process was really helpful and transparent from start to finish.

What really stood out was the customer service responsive, patient, and actually willing to take the time to answer my questions properly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I got nothing but a run around. First greeted by AI — which was pleasant enough, then sent to educational grants … got a human. She was lovely, but didn’t have grants in my area of expertise and I’m too old to start something anew.
Had to call again and to rinse and repeat with the AI - this time saying no to the educational grants … then sent to utilities — but call cut off before I could get to a human.
Tried again only to see many options I seem “eligible” for but the Grants tab just takes me to a Google search page. Others take me to differing pages. I clicked on one for financial assistance and filled it out … got a call soon thereafter (not a good fit)
I call a third time - still AI. I explain the run around — it apologizes but still leads me thru same steps. I decline the education and utilities … the AI tells me it has no more offers and hangs up (This is despite 17 areas of qualification being listed on the homepage the email sent me to)

And to insult to injury … I then got no less than 5-6 text scam inquiries telling me either my loan was approved or my application was approved or “get help from this site.”
This seemed more headache than help.

They are no help.Program should be shut down .All the info they gave me was no help.The discounts they tried to give prices wasn't a discount.They are called Helping Hands for a reason Hands with no help

I called and to speak to a case manager about my situation and they sent an email with numbered steps to view and the "click here links" didn't work at all. I called a second time hoping to get results and again told them my situation and the same thing. I called a third time and explained that the links didn't work and got nothing but silence, then they hung up. Just a revolving door with no way to get info. on status or anything. Just a number to call highlighted in red with a code.
