Marina cleaner & Sharon at Helpwiz beware!

had Marina as our regular cleaner for a while (3 properties), which was 4* overall (ok-good) but properties started to look tired overtime, I asked to concentrate cleans on specific areas of heavy accumulation of dust mainly in places & limescale to bring them up to standard & for some reason she didn't like the change & dropped us on the day just minutes BEFORE her arrival like a sack of potatoes!

disappointing service is understatement. Helpwiz not apologetic for such behaviour of their cleaner. oh and charged after they cancelled the services x 2, disputing those through PayPal of course!

PS: not entirely sure it's actually Marina coming to do the cleans each time but her daughter or another friend as the girl looks quite difference from this profile pic. Beware that you as a CUSTOMER mean 0%

NB: from start I found Sharon mediocre as business owner as only email communication available. website riddled with issues, changes terms as suits her "refer a friend scheme terms", lastly referred me to a unicorn of a landing page for payments that doesn't exist on her portal so I'm going through PayPal to dispute payments taken after cancellation on us & during a higher disputed amount than normal. watch your payments guys!

good service

Very happy with my first experience of using Helpwiz. The cleaner was good and the Helpwiz platform was helpful in finding a cleaner nearby, booking an appointment and processing payment. Highly recommendable.

They are very good company and really help full when every you need help and also my all of clients are really happy and thanks full they have this cleaning company and also I am very happy to for work with this company that’s way I am work for them I also like to say that they are pay as on time for working and this is very important for me and also for every one . The best platform to take your clients to

Might not be the best for a first time cleaner but having a year of experience prior to registering I find it very helpful. Commission cost is very low and if you’re clever it’s possible to cut out a lot of it anyway.

Lost of options to adjust your availability, talk to clients prior and after the clean. Especially communication factor is important to me. The team is very helpful and promptly responds to emails.

That being said I often experience that clients don’t find the page to be easy to follow. You might benefit from consulting someone with user experience design degree. I usually find the way to work around the obstacles myself or contact the team when I can’t.

For the clients: it’s a really good way to find a reliable cleaner and establish a professional relationship. You have to remember that we’re people, not robots. A message prior to the clean would be nice and if your cleaner messages you to ask about some details please respond to ensure your clean will be ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The only disadvantage to me is getting my reliability lowered when I reject new requests. I feel that if rejection is prompt or applies to last minute request it should be respected that I don’t want to work for this particular client. I also understand why this system is in place, so I just deal with it (if you get 5 star reviews form your clients it doesn’t make much difference).

WARNING ALL CLEANERS!!

WARNING ALL CLEANERS!!! Helpwiz is the worst company to use as a platform to advertise as a cleaner, they don't care about the cleaners, they put your rating down if you refuse to travel outside the area you chose and they don't reschedule your appointments on time so your rating goes down and you end up getting no clients, furthermore you as a cleaner have to chase clients to pay you who don't answer calls and messages and the company is very very slow transfering funds owed to you for work you have already done. They lie and dont accept responsibility and are full of excuses when confronted with the truth. Aways check out reviews for cowboy companies like this Avoid like the plague or believe me you will regret that you didn't

As explained, when you install the app, you need to allow the permissions needed for it to work. Otherwise it will not work. You also need to be connected to the internet. Please re-install the app and try again.

Bad.....Dont have a costumer service

Bad.....Dont have a costumer service, a phone or even mail to you speak to them...I did my background checked by onfido and I have the mail to prove, pay for that and receive a answer of the company that I did not do. I lose money, time and my profile is not active.
I have a mail of ONFIDO and I will search for my rights..
I WILL REPEAT: I DID AND PAY TO ONFIDO on 11/08 to make my check and I DID NOT GET any answer of the company.

Phew! Glad I decided to use them!

Having decided to take the supposed risk based on some of the reviews i read on here before booking, i feel i should definitely write up my own review.

The lady I booked through Helpwiz turned up bang on time, worked tirelessly for 2 hours and even stayed back an extra 15 mins to finish up the bit she had started, telling not to worry about the booked finishing time and she'll just finish it.

She had a smile on her fave everytime i saw her working hard.
Honestly had a great experience!

The cleaners are thiefs, unvetted and uncertified.

Hello. I had terrible experience. One of the cleaners went through my clothes where i had hidden some cash £380 in a purse. When i arrived home i found all cleaning products all
over the house, the cleaning unfinished and the money gone.
In their response to this review they insinnuate that I made it up that I had that money. Interesting for the 1st time in 15 years I decided to incriminate one particular cleaner. Who by the way never denied the allegations and quited her job after my cleaning job. Is that all a coincidence?
I called immediatelly the police and reported the case also i contacted Helpwiz. I wont go through the whole story which was time consuming and rather scary. Having an apparently “vetted and Certified” cleaner in My house going through My personal items. Police contacted the cleaner on several occasions without any response also visited her home and the cleaner hasn't lived there for 19years. She was declared by police a prime suspect. Of course it's not some American series or movies where forensics and intense investigation takes place. Yet everything summed up as the cleaner as guilty.
Helpwiz was not sympthatetic and did not offer reimbursment until i asked 1 month later. Police established that the address given by the cleaner was 19year ago. So how was this person vetted?
I eventually received My money back.
I was adviced by the ongoing police case Officer to ask for compensation which i did ask Helpwiz for , yet i was ignored. I did ask mention compensation prior to being reimbursed. I also stated why exactly. Hours of talking and being interviewed by police. Stress and anxiety I might never recover my money.
Interesting that in Helpwiz response to my review they are trying to make me into someone that wants to take advantage of them. And that is why I chose to review the and ask for compensation for their lack of responsibility taking and lack of customer care.
I continued to use their service yet the cleaners are unreliable , terrible cleaners and i do not dare leave the home while they are in the house .
I have been used cleaners for the past 15 years and never had an issue. Until using Helpwiz. I must also Say that the thief cleaner was British (Black yet british)

We do conduct background checks on all our cleaners, and this is the first time in over 2 years of operation that we have had a similar situation occur. We provided the police with full identity information for the cleaner the moment we were asked to do so, and we hope that their investigation will yield some results going forwards.

Very bad customer service orientation!

The cleaner explained to me that Helpwiz's policy forces her to wait up to an hour for any customer if he's not at home, which is what happened to her with the customer who booked her before me.
Owner of Helpwiz, Sharon, refused to take any resposibility for her policy which destroyed my experience with them. Despite the fact she confirmed they charged that customer for the cleaner's waiting time, they atill do not see any reason to compensate customers for significant delays, such as in my case (40 minutes!).
Annoyingly, Sharon sees 40 minutes of delay as a small delay which she thinks is quite normal!!
The minute I made it clear to her that 40 minutes is a significant delay she stopped communicating with me.
This is obviously not a customer service oriented company.

Our policy at Helpwiz is that all cleaners should be on time for all bookings. Where they cannot achieve this, they should communicate with the client in advance as soon as they become aware of an issue.

In your case, the cleaner was unable to answer your phone calls, because she was on the underground en-route to your property, but ideally she would have called or texted you on leaving the previous client later than scheduled. We have let her know that this is expected if a similar case happens in the future.

Convenient, no hidden fees.

This is my experience with Helpwiz after 4 cleaning sessions.

Signing up and finding a cleaner is pretty straight forward. However, the choice of experienced and local cleaners is limited. Unlike Ratedpeople, Helpwiz is like amazon for getting cleaning service, you can look at cleaner profile, and reviews before you book one. Unfortunately, there are not many experienced and local cleaners around my neighbourhood on Helpwiz.

There is nothing to pay upfront. Cleaners get paid o after cleaning and my authorisation on Helpwiz.

However, there is no standard cleaning test for cleaners to demonstrate the skills and experience, I find the reviews are not helpful for the actual cleaners performance.

I had 2 cleaners having eyesight issues, one of them weren't wearing glasses during the cleaning the session, while the other just missed spots because of her age and eyesight.

Due to the limited numbers of cleaners available on Helpwiz, it is not expected to find a quick cleaner to clean the home on the same day, most of the 'good' ones are only available after 1 week in advance.

First time was cleaner from Africa,she was very good,second and third one from poland but their cleaning quality was not good at all,

Cleaner didn't come, tried to charge me: UPDATED

Cleaner never turned up, after changing her time due then contacting me at the moment she was meant to be knocking at my door, with her number and asking me to call her - which I did as I thought she might be having difficulties finding my flat. She said she was halfway across the city and couldn't make it. Tells me this as the precise time she is supposed to be here. I had no reason to doubt her yet and I know everyone has last minute stuff that comes up, so we rearranged for the next day. She then texted me at 11.30pm the night before (because now she has my mobile number), asking me why I had cancelled the booking, to which I said I didn't (I hadn't even logged in) and I would still like her to come if she could. She then asked me to pay with cash instead of through the system, and I declined as per the terms and conditions. She asked again, and I explained I wasn't willing to do that. Later that day she marked the job as done (so not only had she cancelled the booking herself then blamed me, but had tried to charge me for it). I declined through the payment tab on HelpWiz, removed my PayPal details from their site, AND importantly also cancelled the payment in PayPal itself by logging in and deleting it in there. I understand that HelpWiz cannot be responsible for the conduct of an individual but it is a shame as I won't use their site again. Contacted HelpWiz with screenshots of the attempted charge and the text conversation who, while assuring me I wouldn't be charged and apologising that she'd tried to circumvent the payment system, also tried to excuse the cleaner by saying she was new and perhaps didn't know how to use the system properly and that they were input errors on the part of the cleaner. I know new systems are difficult to use but if she wasn't sure what she was doing she could have contacted HelpWiz. That's not good enough. Did receive assurances that they'd let their cleaners know not to ask for personal numbers and if they do have to swap numbers, not to contact clients late at night. Overall, glad it's sorted, but won't use again. I'm sure all their cleaners are not the same but a full apology wasn't received, there was no offer of a replacement/better/more reliable cleaner, and they tried to guilt me into deleting this review. Have updated from 1 star to 3 as it is resolved, but not satisfactorily.

We did not and do not bill clients without authorisation, and every payment a client makes is subject to a separate authorisation on our system.

The cleaner in this case made a number of mistakes, and we communicated with her that she must not repeat any of them, or we would remove her listing.

Furthermore, we will be making several changes to our systems that will reduce the likelihood of this happening with any cleaner in the future.

On the subject of a "replacement" cleaner: every client of Helpwiz, at any point, is free to choose a replacement cleaner - we don't assign cleaners to clients, so we don't "offer" cleaners - cleaners are freely chosen by clients. Thus we couldn't offer a replacement cleaner - you chose the cleaner you booked, and would have to choose the replacement had you wanted one. Cleaners do not work for us, and we don't assign them jobs.

Above all, our assessment is that the cleaner made honest mistakes, rather than careless or deliberate ones (otherwise we would have immediately removed her listing). Our communication of this to you was not an attempt to excuse the mistakes, merely to explain them, and our assessment of them.

I appreciate that you edited the review. In all honesty, in the rare instance where a client is let down this badly, 3 stars is probably the best we deserve, and we will certainly learn from this.

Book somewhere else.

Only had two dreary bookings with this company before I abandoned them. This email to the Owner of the company explains why:

"I'm cancelling the Helpwiz contract as it has not been very helpful from the start. As you know, the first time Mihaela cleaned for 3hrs without my permission when I booked 2hrs. Then today (less than 24hrs before our booking) she sent me a message that she can't do 12 anymore because she is doing an exam (did they really tell her 1 day before?). I had to organise my whole Saturday around her schedule (the only times I could choose from was too early in the morning or 12), just for her to tell me that she can't make it. Now I'm stuck without a cleaner tomorrow and I have people coming around to view the one room at 2.30pm, which means I have to clean the place myself. Very unprofessional. "

We explain to cleaners listed on Helpwiz that any modification of the number of hours is subject to client approval. In the instance of the first booking, which was the first booking on the platform for this cleaner, she didn't realise this would be necessary. Nevertheless, authorisation of payment by the client happens after the clean. At the time you indicated that you were happy to accept that the extra hour was necessary, and you then authorised payment for it. You were under no obligation to do so - you could have rejected payment and demanded that the cleaner bill you only for the agreed number of hours.

As for the unexpected cancellation for your second booking, we take this very seriously indeed. Helpwiz works because cleaners maintain their availability on the site up-to-date. We expect all cleaners listed on the platform to maintain a minimum of a 90% execution rate for bookings and booking requests. We find late cancellations and booking rejections as unacceptable as do you, and we will remove the listing of any cleaner who persistently falls below this measure of reliability.

On Helpwiz, every client is free to choose their cleaner, from all those available for the job. This means that rating a cleaner has a real effect - anyone booking a cleaner can see, upfront, all cleaners' ratings and reviews, and make a choice accordingly. The vast majority of cleaners listed on Helpwiz do not behave in an unreliable way, and their customer reviews reflect that fact.

Website is still in need of further development, but that is not a problem, since the support is excellent.
