Well made but useless

Well made and pretty. But useless. Starlings, doves and magpies have a field day enjoying food, the little birds cannot access anything. The squirrel even managed to open the lid. The cage is much much too small to keep bigger birds from accessing all the food plus the openings are too small for the little birds to get in. Expensive. Total waste of money

All Hype No Substance

I bought a Henry Bell Heritage Four Arm Complete Feeding Station and it has broken at the bottom joint and fallen over in under three weeks renedering it useless.

This product is not fit for purpose, certainly for Scotland where the wind occasionally blows. It comes with a simple pole that is put in the ground which is not stable considering you are putting 4 bird feeders on it.

I put the bottom pole about half way into the ground and within a day or so the joint between itself and the next part of the pole had loosened. I tightened it up and had to do so several times within two weeks. I came back to it one morning and the pole had seperated at the joint between the first and second poles, fallen over breaking two of the feeders.

To compare I bought a cheaper feeder stand which came with a bottom pole and three stabalising prongs which has outlasted the much dearer Henry Bell one.

Will never buy Henry Bell stuff again.

Fantastic Customer Service

I recently had a problem with two Stirling 3 in 1 Squirrel Proof Bird Feeders and as they were over 12 months old I didn't expect them to be replaced but an email to the company, who admitted that they had a problem with a small batch, resulted in replacements being received within 2 days.
What fantastic customer service and I can certainly see why they have been in existence since 1825 - a great company.

Bought a £10 metal bird feeder from…

Bought a £10 metal bird feeder from local garden centre, when i says metal i mean one that looks like a cheese grater, filled it with seed put in garden, after a few days in noticed it was still full of seed ,when I checked the seed it was solid because the rain got in through holes. So if you want to waste seed keep using it i threw it away

NO GROW bird seed GROWS

Bought some no grow bird seed, the first bag was fine but the second bag started to grow. Filled out online form, received acknowledgement but nothing further. Chased twice and then filled out a further form but to date have received no reply. Very poor customer service & disappointing seed batch.

I purchased 2 squirrel proof feeders by…

I purchased 2 squirrel proof feeders by Henry Bell from my local shop. These do not stop the squirrels and I have sent Henry Bell 2 emails to ask if they have a solution. NO REPLIES. Terrible customer service and a waste of over £50.

No opinion, just fact.

HEAVY DUTY DOUBLE SHEPHERD’S CROOK H040612
Purchased yesterday at Percy Thrower's Garden Centre in Shrewsbury. During assembly one has to connect the top and bottom halves of the feeder pole by means of a male to female screw connection. Firstly, because of the length and weight of the poles I found it very difficult to get the thread to engage and only managed to do this by anchoring the lower pole in the ground. Before the top pole was fully seated the male end snapped off completely While recognising that I may have misaligned the threads, mine is the experience of a standard human being. I will leave you to draw your own conclusions.

not fit for purpouse

purchased feeding station heavy duty plus universal base plus 4 feeders £200 on Sunday, feeding station collapsed with no wind on Wednesday following week. Strongly advice avoiding in future. Ver y disappointed and let down and annoyingly company seems to monopolise bird feeding market.

Squirrels defeated.

At last I have a birdfeeder that is truly squirrel proof. Beautifully made and so effective that the little blighters have actually given up trying. Excellent customer service too. Full marks.
