Great planning with our wedding day drinks Charlie but disastrous on the day I’m afraid.
Paid upfront for arrival cocktails but very hot & miss for our guests , card machine not working, draught beer not working. Guests charged for wine which we had provided, slow service with queues all night. Josh & staff were found in the field making a huge racket and burning our wood with no clearing up done . Rows the next day over which rubbish they were going to take and backtracking on the agreement . When challenged they thought the best thing to do was threaten us with court action. Appalling service be warned don’t pay up front

Had an amazing wedding day, made better by Henry’s!!
Our liaison was Josh, a wedding coordinator & event manager! We only wanted a mobile bar but he went above and beyond to help plan out our whole day and explain how it would all work! Saved me so much stress. Then on the day he was fantastic, organising his own team flawlessly and also the other caterers ! Even though this wasn’t his job he stepped up. Highly recommend these guys

Unimpressed.

While prior to our wedding we had very good chats with Josh and Charlie, we were informed just a few days before the event it would not be them bartendeing but were assured their 'porfessional' helpers would attend.

The job was very simple - keep the bar supplied with drinks and ice and help clear away tables.... no making/pouring drinks etc. The ONLY time they resupplied any drinks was when prompted to by the bride and the tables were left in a state. The following day we were dismayed to find excess champagne, an entire rented freezer of ice, and liters and liters of beer and soft drink, all of which we had assumed had run out.

We paid £30ph for Professional assistance and got two kids who needed management. I have no idea what they did all evening.

When we raised this with Josh and Charlie we were met with a non-negotiable, non understanding response which escalated in them treatening to take us to court.

From our persepctive the efforts we exerted to make the job run smoothly was interpretted by them as an opportunity to make a quick buck by putting amatures on the case.

What a shame, but it didnt spoil our day :)

Addition to original review published in early Sep following an event on 20 Aug.

As Henrys Bartenders (HB) have published a response over 6 months after the event itself and my initial review, which is verifiably entirely false, I am adding the following key points to my review which illustrate the shabby, underhand approach that HB has resorted to in order to discredit our honest review of their service.

First HB are now stating that I was not at the event - as the groom’s mother and there is a stack of evidence to support my attendance. In fact I was staying at the reception venue (bride’s father’s place) for a few days both before and the event and joined the zoom brief with Charlie where they were provided with a detailed brief.

There is the completely unfounded accusation that we asked for the service at no cost. Nonsense, and we have an email chain to support this. After some very unproductive exchanges with HB, they offered a 10% (described as massive?) discount which we took just to close down the whole unsavoury affair. Payment plans were never offered, nor needed and this was a very simple job. Stocking drinks and ice and clearing away glasses. It was a DIY bar where guests helped themselves to drinks, mixed their own G&Ts etc with no payment required or cocktails etc. To quote Charlie at the end of our pre-meet: ‘this is a very straightforward job .. the kind we like.’

The food was provided by a professional catering company so the reference to HB staff ‘serving food’ is complete fiction.

Josh references over 200 staff when, as per detailed brief provided to him and Charlie, there were around 135 guests. Falsehood upon falsehood!

The final point I will make, (and I have had to restrain myself here as there is much more that I could include) is that Josh denies a threat of court action on non-payment when we have an email from him dated 6 Sep which threatened just that.

I’d be very happy to make this supporting information available on request and saddened that HB should use such unprofessional and libellous tactics to undermine some honest feedback. In fact, the dishonest approach HB has taken following the publication of our review has reinforced my firm view of the leadership of the organisation that resorts to fabrication and dishonesty.

I would add that this experience has also left me with grave reservations about the principles observed by Trust Pilot who put us through the mill to evidence our original review and, having received a much later response from HB which is clearly untrue on the basis of the information we had already provided to TP, are unwilling to take down a pack of lies from HB as ‘they are not in a position to decide what is factually correct or incorrect’. And that, despite the fact we had to evidence in enormous detail our initial experience on the basis of facts provided to TP before they would publish our review. Disappointing

Although a great service was promised up front and the Wedding Co-ordinator we dealt with seemed easy to deal with in pre-event discussions, it was only at the last minute of a lengthy zoom (that the Wedding Co-ordinator had to be reminded to attend) that my son and his fiancée learnt that another team would be present at the event. We would have preferred to know that and brief the team direct.
At the event, although both staff members were pleasant, this was a very straightforward DIY bar and the level of promised proactive and professional service was sadly lacking. The HB staff had to be instructed on a fairly regular basis and did not complete the required jobs which had been agreed up front resulting in wasted ice, drinks and a lot of post-event clearing up.
I had got involved from the pre-brief meeting stage and, as my son and his wife were going abroad shortly after the wedding, I picked up dealing with this one subsequently. We provided detailed feedback to our contact at Henry’s Bartenders but his response was not receptive and on requesting some sort of recognition of the poor service which might have been reflected in an apology and, possibly a more appropriate charge than the high hourly rate one would expect to pay for top notch trained staff offering a professional service, the Wedding Co-ordinator threatened legal action if the full invoice was not paid. Ultimately and with considerable regret, we agreed to a nominal discount just to close this down.
We would NOT recommend Henrys Bartenders and just hope that other events aren’t spoilt in a similar way.

Last weekend we had the delight of Henry’s bartenders for our wedding and we really could not fault them - Dan and George went above and beyond our expectations and added such a fantastic element to our day. They were both very professional whilst also being so friendly and fun; all the guests commented on how fab they were and what great lads. Our wedding was in a marquee at home so things were a lot more complicated than a usual venue reception but they just cracked on and did everything we had asked with big smiles on their faces. Thank you also to Josh who is great at communicating before the event and thinks of everything that is needed. We will definitely be using Henry’s bartenders again !! Thank you so much !!

We have hired Henrys bartenders on a few occasions now and will definitely be hiring again. Charlie makes the best cocktails!
