I signed on early for the low price of 179 or whatever it was for a 'lifetime' suscription. Later it changed and the price went up and the services went way down. I regret signing up for that sham. (I just got an update email today (July 27, 2026) and it was asking for more money for an upgrade. Too bad it seemed like a good service early on.

Lifetime plan quietly converted to paid

Lifetime plan quietly converted to paid subscription with no warning

We originally signed up to Heropost on what was sold as a lifetime plan. Without any clear or direct notice, this was later converted into a subscription-based model.

Despite not using the platform for a long period of time, we were charged a full annual renewal fee with no prior renewal reminder, no clear notification of the change in terms, and no meaningful opportunity to cancel before the money was taken.

When challenged, we were simply referred to their terms and told refunds for renewals are not available. Relying on silent auto-renewals—particularly where accounts are inactive and where customers were originally sold a lifetime product—is, in our view, extremely poor practice.

Businesses should not have to rely on spotting unexpected charges after the fact to avoid being billed. A lack of transparency around subscription changes and renewal notifications has completely undermined our trust in this service.

We would not recommend Heropost based on this experience.

Misleading Practices, Poor Service & Unauthorized Charges – AVOID HEROPOST

We originally joined Heropost under their "lifetime" access model, which was heavily promoted with promises of ongoing updates and new features. These promises were never fulfilled — the platform was rarely updated, buggy, and often completely unusable. We were eventually forced to "upgrade" to a paid plan to access basic functionality, despite paying for lifetime access.

The upgraded system was a major letdown. It was slow, constantly crashing, and failed to publish scheduled posts more often than not. For a platform designed to save time and streamline social media, it did the complete opposite — we wasted more time trying to make it work than it ever saved us.

The real issue, however, came with their billing. Heropost charged us for a renewal without sending any notice, and we did not agree to an ongoing subscription. Our account hadn’t even been used since June 2024, yet they still took a full annual payment without warning, removing our ability to cancel in advance.

When we contacted support, they flatly refused a refund, hid behind their vague terms of service, and claimed the charge was non-refundable – even though we were never told this would automatically renew, nor were we given the opportunity to opt out.

This behavior is not just unprofessional, it’s unethical and borders on fraudulent. We are now:

Taking legal action

Reporting this to our bank as a fraudulent charge

Filing complaints with consumer protection authorities

Publicly sharing our experience to prevent others from falling into the same trap

Avoid Heropost at all costs. Their platform is unreliable, their business practices are deceptive, and their customer service shows no concern for fairness or transparency.

Promised a lifetime; didn't deliver

Heropost.io is now posing as Heropost.ai - Don’t fall for the promises; it’s a SCAM.

I also signed up for the lifetime subscription like everyone else here. They keep reducing the number of platforms (it doesn't even have X/Twitter anymore), then introduced an “upgrade” but only for new subscribers leaving a sad set of limited features for existing users. It’s a complete SCAM.

This company is unethical. Like others have said, they took our money for a “lifetime” deal. The name itself implies it should last forever. Yet they’ve revoked features, leaving us unable to use the platform as before due to an “upgrade.” Missing out on new features would be one thing, but denying access to resources we’ve already paid for is unacceptable.

It’s an absolute farce, avoid this company at all costs.

Fraudulent company that just takes your…

Fraudulent company that just takes your money. DO NOT TRUST! The Website and customer service is terrible. I just purchased this, because its not clearly noted anywhere about a free trail, thinking it was all going to work for my business but I couldn't even schedule posts! I didn't even have this for a full month and tried to get a refund and nothing. I will never recommend this company.

Backstabbing its original supporters

This is a repeat post, as the company has opted to make a second page, probably because of long-time users like myself giving honest opinions of our experiences on the original.

I hopped on board the "lifetime plan" that was offered when Heropost was doing a round of funding in 2022 (exact date September 19th of that year). The service was never perfect, but it was great for the price. However, due to API rules going into place and the changing landscape of social media (particularly twitter), it would routinely lose functionality. I still stuck with it because the company was offering a service at a really reasonable price (even if you didn't get the "lifetime" plan compared to its competitors, and it was obviously the work of a small team.

Just so we're clear. The lifetime plan was a single relatively large (for a blogger) payment in exchange for "lifetime" access to its features, and a promise of continued support.

However, they've now re-launched with a different URL ("heropost.ai", I guess to chase that hype) and allowed the "lifetime" platform to depreciate. They also didn't offer to onboard any of the "lifetime" users who helped fund them up to that point to their new plans, beyond advertising the sales page to them. There was no explanation or roadmap for further support, nothing. And the service for the "lifetime" service keeps getting depreciated further, as more social media functionality slips away, while they implement new features on the new system. It really feels like a betrayal. I thought as I was starting out in my online ventures, I was going to grow with this company, but it seems I can go f* myself.

The day I post this, the URL to the lifetime platform seems to be missing from the front page of the website completely, and doesn't work when I attempt to go directly to it. I'm used to this having issues connecting (as I stated before), but this hasn't only gotten progressively worse since the launch of the "new" platform, it seems deliberate, now that the link is no longer visible.

When confronted, the little bit of response myself and other users have gotten has been that the new platform is "not the same product" as the one we signed up for. This seems absolutely abominable, and these people do not deserve to stay in business if they don't address this. Honestly, at this point, I don't even think they could save that reputation, as it'd clearly be a band aid for the PR stink the lifetime users have been building against them.

I was treated better, however, than most, because at least I got a year and a few good months out of the tool. Some people signed up a month before the switch to the new platform and didn't get to use it at all, they essentially got fleeced for 290+ USD for what, at this point, amounts to a Facebook and Telegram post scheduler.

Don't give this company a dime of your money!

Edit 12-04-2024: How does this company have a 2.5-star rating when every review that's been left is 1 star?

This is a sad attempt at bait and switch, again, by creating a new Trustpilot profile to draw your attention away from their real 1.9-star rating profile, Heropost dot io.

Don't give this company a dime of your money!

Are you kidding me?

Are you kidding me? These jokers took a LIFETIME Purchase and did not honor it. They promise all updates, then left every LIFETIME subscriber hanging when they updated.

Then, on top of everything. They got a new domain name and then got a new review site here. It is the same people. They misled their customers. Then when we tried to talk with them, they blocked us.

They did not honor what they said they would. Horrible.
