Fraudulent actions- company cheats with fake pictures
I used a Ford Kuga through Hertz mini lease at Copenhagen airport for one month. During that time, we reported damage to the windshield and expected to cover the full cost of the claim. However, after a week, we received a bill for $10,000 along with what appeared to be manipulated images of scratches on the vehicle. As we had taken pictures when we returned the vehicle, it was clear that the scratches were fake.
We ran these images through AI image verification tools, which confirmed that the pictures had been tampered with. When we contacted Hertz with our own photos, they argued that the angles of the pictures were different. It's hard to believe they would go to such lengths but clearly they have no scruples whatsoever.
They charged my credit card without further explanation, simply closing the case. This experience suggests a lack of transparency and integrity. I strongly advise others to avoid this company.
