DO NOT go with Hibu
DO NOT go with Hibu. They used to be good but something has happened in this past year and customer service has gone way down hill.
I would never recommend them to anyone. I was actually on hold today for 40 minutes to cancel my service and then they said "sorry please try again later" and hung up.
A Warning to Small Businesses
We spent months trying not to write this review.
We simply wanted Hibu to do the right thing.
Bear Impact Roofing invested over $6,200 in Hibu’s Local Ranking SEO program and Hibu One. Before sharing our experience publicly, we made every effort to address our concerns privately over several months.
During the time Hibu controlled our website and tracking number, our business became virtually invisible in search results—often not appearing until after the first 20 pages. We received zero legitimate leads attributable to the campaign we paid for. Calls to the dedicated line consisted primarily of spam, job inquiries, and sales solicitations, forcing us to return to door-to-door canvassing just to keep work coming in.
Rather than immediately leaving negative feedback, we took a measured approach. We communicated directly with Hibu, compiled analytics reports, obtained three independent website audits while Hibu still controlled the site, and ultimately assembled a 40-page evidence packet documenting our concerns.
What we discovered after learning to use Google Analytics and Google Search Console was even worse than we expected. In the 4+ months our domain was under Hibu’s management, our website had a total of just 32 visitors (compare that to 1427 sessions in the 3 months prior to Hibu). In two of those months under Hibu's control, we had zero.
Hibu promotes its proprietary Hibu One dashboard as an all-in-one digital command center, presenting data in a way that makes performance appear strong—even when legitimate leads are not coming in. Our Hibu marketing manager would routinely reference this dashboard during calls, making it sound like business was thriving. Meanwhile, our phones were ringing with nothing but spam.
Once we dug into Google Analytics and Search Console ourselves, it became clear that the numbers in Hibu’s dashboard did not align with actual Google data—nowhere close. We shared before, during, and after traffic graphs with them (the difference is dramatic — it looks like the Grand Canyon), yet they have consistently avoided providing any meaningful explanation. It raises serious concerns about how their dashboard metrics are generated and presented.
Hibu acknowledged receipt of our documentation, reviewed it, and declined to make any adjustments or take accountability. Notably, they did not refute any of our evidence. Instead, they attributed performance issues to increased snowfall in our area and emphasized that they do not guarantee leads—despite that not being our complaint.
We understand that no marketing company can guarantee results. Our concern is not about guaranteed leads, but about the lack of measurable performance and the discrepancy between what was promised and what was delivered. Simply put, the results did not justify the investment. We did not expect to pay $1,200 per month to become completely invisible online.
What disappointed us most was not just the lack of results, but the lack of accountability when presented with clear, factual documentation. An ethical company would take steps to investigate and correct legitimate issues. Instead, Hibu chose to stand by this failure and present it as a success rather than make an honest effort to resolve the problem with dignity.
After exhausting every available avenue, we believe it is our responsibility to share this experience so other business owners can clearly see what they may be walking into.
If you’re considering their services, ask yourself a simple question: why are their own Google reviews not publicly visible—while they actively sell you on the importance of yours?
Great experience!
Great experience!! Negative reviews are often from people who are dissatisfied with results after only a couple of months, but everyone needs to realize that it takes time for Google and other platforms to learn a new website. Working with Susanna, My Account Manager, and having our digital marketing with Hibu has helped us improve our online visibility and generate more customer inquiries. During the first half of 2026, our website traffic increased by approximately 45% and lead activity increased by nearly 50% compared to the same period in 2025. She is knowledgeable, responsive, and consistently provides clear recommendations based on our business goals and marketing performance. I would definitely recommend Hibu and plan to stay with them long term.

Scam
Recently took over the business and saw a 60+ year owner was signed up for services that he wasn’t even using for 8 years. Scammed him for thousands. When tried to cancel it took months.

If I could give them 0 stars
If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I rarely write 1 star reviews for companies as I am a business owner myself. But I have been wronged by Hibu! This has been the most horrible experience! We were with Revlocal whom had one our marketing for close to 10 years. Then Revlocal was bought out by Hibu a year ago. Ever since then, the customer service was HORRIBLE and unorganized. The leads were dwindling as the months went by that I had to finally switch to another marketing company. Long story short, the STOLE $3500 the last month and would only refund $52...what a slap in the face. Towards the end my phone would ring 1-2 times per day! I tried calling my rep, the listing management department, and NOTHING, just empty promises. I left Hibu because the phone was not ringing, which is what I paid them $3500 per month for! STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this marketing company. They will NOT deliver what they are in business for...to do great marketing. DO NOT RECOMMEND! STAY AWAY!

They deserve 0 stars
If I can give them 0 starts, I would!
If you care about your business, please do not work with HIBU!
I lost a ton of business because of them. Their webmail server, which they can't support was losing all of our corporate emails. This happened in December of 2025. They introduced a new spam feature which we didn't even know existed. I attempted to reach out to them so many times begging and pleading to fix it. I couldn't continue to be a mailman for our company, constantly releasing things from spam, across 23 emails. They kept saying "they can't help me because it's a third party and they can't connect me to them, either" :( I literally cried!
I refused to pay my last month bill, because I lost so much time, money and business. This Terrible Company had the audacity to send us to Collections.
Please, please, stay away from them, if you care about your Business.
They should be investigated and liquidated!

No Leads After 4 Months – Disappointing Experience for Small Business
I’m a small, one-man electrical shop and wanted to share my experience so other small business owners can make an informed decision.
Before signing up with Hibu, I clearly discussed my budget and expectations. I specifically asked if the amount I planned to spend would be enough to generate leads, and I was assured that it would work and that I would be “far from stagnant.” I was also told there would be an option to increase the budget as my business grew—not that increasing it would be necessary just to see any results at all.
I was even given examples of other electricians in similar situations who were reportedly receiving multiple calls per week for small jobs like ceiling fan installations. Based on these conversations, I felt confident moving forward.
It has now been close to 4 months, and I have not received a single legitimate lead or phone call.
What’s most frustrating is that my account shows over 400 ad clicks and nearly 500 website visits. This indicates that there is traffic, but it is not converting into actual leads. From my perspective, that points to an issue with campaign setup, targeting, or execution—not simply budget.
As a small business, this has had a real financial impact. The monthly cost is significant, and instead of helping generate work, it has limited my ability to invest in other lead sources that may have produced results.
I understand that marketing can take time and that results can vary, but receiving zero leads after this level of activity is not a reasonable outcome.
At a minimum, I believe expectations should be set more realistically for small businesses working within a limited budget.
I’m still hoping to reach a fair resolution.

No ROI return and bad customer service
I started using Hibu in January of this year. HUGE MISTAKE! My Goggle rankings had dropped tremendously month after month. From page one to four. No ROI as promised by my local rep!
I have declined in sales drastically! I went from doing great with my business to poorly in the three months they have been managing my website and listing!
Told them I would be finding another marketing company and they told me I had 3 months left on my contract! They also told me my monthly payment would be around $900 plus a month and it's been $1400.
I never signed a contract! They forged my signature! I should have went with my guy feelings after reading their horrible reviews, but listened to the local rep.
Stay away from this company! A complete SCAM! No ROI as promised! Your business will go down the drain as my did!!!

As a business owner I'm completely sick of these hustles! These people aren't really here to help you, their motto should be, 'how may I hustle you today' or 'how may I rob you of your money today'!
Working with Susanna has made a real…
Working with Susanna has made a real difference in our marketing. Over the past year, we’ve generated over 1,800 leads, and she’s been highly responsive anytime I’ve needed support or strategic guidance. She doesn’t just manage campaigns—she helps me think through what’s actually going to grow the business. It’s been great having a partner I can rely on

Stay Away
Generic ad strategy. Blow average creative. Poor communication and follow up from reps. Asked to pause ads while we reevaluate and they resumed them without authorization. They were unwilling to work with us on that issue so we fully closed the account.
Do NOT recommend!
Our experience with Hibu has been completely unacceptable, and we strongly caution anyone considering their services.
For nearly a year, we were paying for services with almost no contact from our assigned representative. There was essentially no meaningful support, communication, or account management during that time.
On January 18, 2026, late in the evening, Hibu sent an email notifying us of an 8.3% price increase effective February 3, 2026. We did not agree to this increase and immediately responded on January 19 to cancel our services. This provided 17 days’ notice, well above the 15 days required under our month-to-month contract, yet Hibu insisted we would still be required to pay through March.
The cancellation process was unnecessarily difficult. Instead of honoring our notice, we were told to call customer service, only to be denied a reasonable and timely cancellation.
Most concerning, we explicitly revoked authorization for any further charges — and Hibu charged our card anyway. We are now disputing those charges with our credit card company.
Charging a customer after cancellation and after authorization has been revoked is completely unacceptable. Combined with the lack of support, poor communication, and the last-minute 8.3% price increase, this experience has been extremely frustrating.
We do not recommend Hibu and advise extreme caution before signing up.
Hibu has been a great company to work with!

We hired Hibu to handle our marketing
We hired Hibu to handle our marketing, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from start to finish.
They made several promises during the sales process that were never delivered on. Once we signed up, communication completely dropped off—our rep, Drew, was extremely difficult to get ahold of and provided little to no follow-up.
When we decided to cancel due to the lack of results and support, it took nearly 3 months just to get in contact with someone who could actually help us cancel the service. Even more frustrating, we were then told we would still be charged for an additional month after cancellation.
Overall, the lack of communication, unmet expectations, and difficulty canceling made this a very poor experience. I would not recommend Hibu to other business owners looking for reliable marketing support.
Hibu on the front end positioned…
Hibu on the front end positioned themselves as a marketing company. We were sold on a package where a majority of the monthly charge was for adspend. Over the entire course of four months working with this company, we were unable to see any of the ads that we were reportedly paying to have posted, and generated not a single new lead. Throughout the time they claimed several of our own natural calls from our outside sales team as “leads“ however, these people said that they were calling in from flyers or direct conversations with our sales people. Throughout the entire time, they were extremely difficult to get a hold of, did very little of what they said they would, did not produce a single lead, created a lot of stress and additional damage and the way their software integrated with ours, even after saying they would not do certain things. Within the company, communication was poor and several times guarantees on one end would be unheard by the rest of the company. The account manager who is supposed to be talking with us multiple times a week was completely ghosted throughout the time as things got more and more stressful. I talked to several other companies who said they thought they were having a good experience and had them look a little bit closer and they found the same thing. Terrible company. They do not market or bring in clients.
This company is a scam
This company is a scam. They take your money and deliver 0 results. I called to cancel they refused. I contacted my CC company who blocked them and had my money refunded. They are now taking me to court for the total balance of the contract, which I never even signed.
They are literally the strep vagina of…
They are literally the strep vagina of Advertising companies promise you everything delivered. Nothing charge me nearly $18,000 not one Lead came in now they’re asking for more money virtually impossible to get anybody on the phone to discuss my account 35 years in business worst Advertising decision I ever made I strongly recommend avoiding them at all cost
I wish I never trusted Hibu
My experience working with Hibu was extremely disappointing and ultimately a waste of my time, money, and effort. I was initially contacted and encouraged to switch from my existing website to one they would provide, which was presented to me as a free, optimized solution that would improve my business visibility. However, after signing, I later learned from another representative that I was actually being charged for the website in addition to the marketing service all along.
Throughout our agreement, I raised repeated concerns that my business was being advertised in the wrong city. Despite paying monthly, my concerns went unanswered, and when leads did come in, potential customers believed my business was located in the incorrect location listed in the ads. As a result, I did not gain any new clients from the service I was paying for.
After four months, I requested to end the agreement. Although multiple representatives acknowledged that the ads were running in the wrong area, each person passed responsibility to someone else and claimed they didn’t understand how the mistake happened. I was told the issue would be escalated and corrected, but it never was. Instead, billing continued and payment was still demanded, with little interest shown in actually resolving the problem or providing satisfactory service.
Even my sales representative, James W., contacted me stating he would help resolve the situation, but after that conversation I received no follow-up or assistance.
Overall, my experience was frustrating, misleading, and unproductive.
