I ordered a bicycle for my grandson's birthday. Before his birthday arrived I learned that the feature that was most important to him was drop handlebars, which the bicycle I had chosen did not have. Highway Cycles rescued me, changing the handlebars (and necessarily the gears as well) so that my grandson now owns a rare Frog 67 with drop handlebars, and loves it.
Booked a wheel in for a rebuild, confirmation email received giving repair date. Called day after to be told it he rim was not in, turns out they didn’t order the rim until the repair day despite receiving it 4 days previously. Sourced a rim myself and paid for it to be delivered to the shop, then told the work could not be done for another 2 weeks, ie 4 weeks after scheduled date. When I explained that I needed the wheel to do Lands End - John o Groats 1 week later was offered a rebuild done on a mechanics overtime the day before I needed it, really disappointing, took it to a reliable bike shop and collected it 2 days later. Not impressed, Will not use again.
Very insightful regarding renovating my aged Specialised Rockhopper. Presented choices openly regarding brakes, tires and puncture protection/run flat options and didn’t simply quote the most expensive price. Friendly too!
Just purchased a new bike from Highway Cycles, super service and advice, highly recommend. Plus it’s great news that they are expanding and now have a shop in Bishops Stortford.
I booked my bike in for repairs. The service was first rate with the workshop going above and beyond to identify the problem and carry out repairs. Further repairs were required and the workshop undertook the work while I waited.
Excellent service - Second to none.
I received an amazing service from this company. They serviced my bike and changed the brakes and fixed the punctures and replaced a tyre. They collected my bike and am awaiting it's return. Thoroughly professional service from all staff. Nothing was too much. You just don't get this sort of professionalism any more. Thanks guys, ypu were great.
