Hihome smartplug gen1 was good quality. Gen2 smartplug is complete rubbish. After several months up to a year in use, every plug gen2 starts failing, switching on and off every second, while the led remains off. Reset is not even possible. I bought in total 14 plugs gen2, 9 are failing, 4 were never unpacked, which is a fail rate of 90%.
Repeated contact with support ends up in a deadly silence from their side, which means in fact no warranty. Several other users in my environment report similar issues.
Avoid buying this product is the best advice we can give.

I bought about 10 smartplugs. First an older model, witch all suffered from hanging on/off switchers.
The latest models all stops working after about 2-3 years.
On the first model i've fixed the switch and now they all works. The latest model(WPP-16R) all had bad capacitors. I've repaired some of them, but I don't want to waste more time on this rubbish. The rest is going in the bin! Never HiHome again!

I bought 12 HiHome "smart" switches. Within a year, 6 simply stopped working, and 3 started constantly flickering on and off. This is DAMAGED to your appliances and dangerous. These are still under WARRANTY, but the service department is apathetic and simply unresponsive.

The Hihome Zigbee wireless switch - 4 zones are absolute rubbish. After a few months all 4 zones start blinking and there is no way to do a reset or to connect them with the zigbee plug. Already contacted Hihome a few times. But they claim it is impossible that they fail and want me to send the switches on my cost??? Question is, can they be objective if already they suggest that failure is impossible??

So we have returned 10 plugs as they all died. We paired for the return, with the promise that you would refund the freight if they were faulty…. After more than 6 months your sent us new plugs while more died which we also documented and sent to you! Now you stopped answering and we never got our freight back and still have +30 plugs that failed within 1 year. DON’T buy from this site as there I absolutely NO service and they just ignore mails and messenger messages. WHAT A CON FIRM!!! 🤬

DON’T buy their smart plugs!!! Bought a lot of smart plugs and the first batch is running like clockwork but the following purchases (approx 80 smart plugs) are dying like flies within 1 st year. Have complained and even at my own expense sent some of them back and now they do not reply on any mails. Been much more than 1 1/2 month since I complained and approx 1 month since I sent 11 plugs back so they could test them.
Is says 2 year warranty on their webpage but clearly they are lying!
DON’T support this business as they only care about taking your money and have 0 customer service and absolutely no warranty despite what they advertise 🤬
