Feeling of being ripped off

Currently Hilditch and Key are running a sale. On their website, flat caps are priced at £80, which is marked down from £165. The price for a flat cap last year was £100. Legislation requires companies to sale a product for a set period in order to justify the price cut for a sale - £165 to £80.

However, charging £165 for a flat cap in the shop is outrageous. Hence, I feel totally ripped off when I bought a flat cap in store.

I like the products

Long-standing customer. I like what you sell. The decision not to put prices on any of the products in the shop is a first for me. The thinking behind it is clueless and totally out-of-touch. The message it conveys is really unattractive.
Having to constantly ask the sales assistant what things cost is beyond annoying for them (they told me) and the customer... and ruins the experience of what is otherwise a very nice shop. I can't think of a single benefit of this policy.
How about taking prices off the website too?
