I cannot recommend this company enough for canoe and SUP hire. I have had the pleasure of using them several times, one just recently for a company charity event. If you are feeling uneasy about getting on the water, they will certainly put you at ease and fill you with confidence for your trip. I really like their stance on environmental issues too!! They have organised and encouraged river cleans ups in the local areas to keep our waterways cleaner and healthier. Well done Hire a Canoe!
We were taking part in a company event and chose Hire a Canoe as they were perfectly situated to where we wanted to start from. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and helped size up the canoes, paddles and life vests for us.
They explained the route that we would take, offering tips on paddling and steering the canoe, which does take some time to get used to. Once we were launched we made the 3 hour trip down the river to Shrewsbury.
I would highly recommend Hire a Canoe if you are looking for a relaxing summer trip down the river. There are a few places to stop on route if you need to get out for a spot of lunch. At the end of the trip they drove over to pick us up and take us back to the start.

As a family we were looking into something different to do over the Holiday period .With the family of five age group from 7 to 45 we booked a two hours session to explore the River Severn around Shrewsbury.
The boards , paddles , wetsuits and all the safety equipment were all in the price from Shrewsbury info @ hire a canoe.com
The two hour session was one of the best time's the family had to bond , laugh and enjoy due to the different abilities . The views were incredible. The following trip will be talked about for many years to come. Even the older teenagers loved the experience.
Definitely go again , will go again.
