No Candidates

We received absolutely no candidates from Monster. Essentially it was a waste of money. Unfortunately Monster does not work in rural areas such as Bigfork, MN.

Applicants unable to follow instructions

For whatever reason, applicants do not bother including a cover letter even when the job posting clearly states that a cover letter is required to be considered for the position.

Not quite what we needed.

We were seeking a preschool teacher for a part time, relatively low wage position. Although many people viewed our posting, we received no qualified candidates and less than 10 resumes. We selected a short term contract with Monster, not realizing that we had to pay an additional fee to search and view resumes. Monster was not worth the cost for our organization. Indeed worked much better for us and supplied more candidates, albeit most were not qualified. We filled the position with a candidate from Indeed.

100% Non-Qualified Applicants

We paid quite a lot to run this ad for 30 days, and we have only received 12 applicants so far (about three weeks in). All 12 didn't have one single qualification we had listed or described.

Zero results for hundreds of dollars

I paid $399 to Monster.com to post an employment ad. Not only did I get very few resumes but not a single one was related to the job that I posted. I emailed my "account executive" or whatever he was called and asked if they had a guarantee, and that I wasn't getting candidates that were remotely qualified for the job posted - and I got no response. I will never, ever use Monster again, nor will I recommend Monster to any of my business colleagues.

Minimal unqualified applicants applying

Minimal to absent applicants for a specific position/profession. Other sites both free and paid supersede the amount of applicants with out requirements. Somewhat difficult navigation of site itself without user friendly quick log in

Customer Service - Excellent; Resume Quality - Poor

I could not be more thrilled with the quality of customer service. The rep I worked with walked me through the steps to set up my account and clearly went above and beyond to ensure I understood the procedures. High points there! Thank you! I am vastly disappointed in the quality of the resumes I have received, most do not meet any of the prescribed criteria for the position I posted. I have spent much time going through resumes that are the least qualified for the position or are not qualified at all.

I would not recommend monster to anyone.

Terrible job posting. Getting irrelevant resumes. No proper resume came through and got marketing calls from monster that they had better paid programs then what you have signed up for. Highly not recommend anyone trying their 2 months program as its your money down the drain. Better to donate it to charity instead.

Just Bad

Although we received resumes, most of them were wildly inappropriate. We will not use Monster again.

Not the ideal site!

Although there are preset filters to prevent unwanted information, there were so many resumes and inquiries that did not meet with the requirements. i.e.: filtered to keep resumes from out of the country OUT but yet I received lots of them...
