Scam website do not use! Seemed like a genuine interest in purchasing my car via text from number +44 7441 916029. After a few back and forth with the usual questions any genuine buyer would ask, they then requested me to run car history check through 2 potential websites. I responded by saying I was happy to run a report via RAC or AA for them, with it being a reputable company however they insisted that they do not trust both of these companies and wanted me to use autochecks.co.uk or historyreport.co.uk. I was fortunate enough to not fall for their scam, please be aware not to part way with any of your personal information!

Received SMS from +447723342335 asking about obtaining the 'HR report' from 'historyreport.co.uk' and he would reimburse me. Quick search on phone number and I found I was one of many.
Said his name was James....

Had a guy called Andy message me after I advertised a car on gumtree, asking about service history any damage to the car all normal questions you would ask a seller until he asked for a report from auto checks.co.uk and he sent me a link but his link wasn’t complete so I didn’t click on it instead I went onto my browser and looked it up, he tried to say that only an owner can request the car history but I knew he was lying as I used the website before and he wanted me to pay for the car check and that he would pay me back when he comes to buy the car later today, when I didn’t reply he phoned me and it was the same story and when I said to him that I’ve used the website before and that he’s lying and that I know this is a scam he went quiet and I when I said I’m reporting his phone number as scam he hung up +44 7897 013411 please be careful everyone as these people are no joke they will try to take advantage of you however they can I’m just worried some elderly person will fall for their games

Scammer. They contacted us in regard to a vehicle sale. Started asking for a Motor AC report. Did a phone number check. And saw all these reports. Thought there was something dodgy about the conversation. Do not trust these scammers

2.) The 'buyer' was insistent on using this website-- And would not do it himself.
3.) Similar experience as to what other people have reported here.

Like others, had someone enquire after a vehicle I was selling, arranged to come see it but would only agree to come if I signed up.
Immediately very suspicious and found the same number was used as in one of the other reports here: 07400 599666

Same thing happened here,scam, stay away.

Definitely a scam, posted a car on gumtree and someone messaged from Fort William ( Damen) he wanted car history from this website.

Can confirm this is a scam. Man called “Andy” text me about buying a car. Nice try.

scammer messaging about buying a vehicle on gumtree.claims he needs a vehicle report and this can only be done by the seller(complete lie!) ,directs you to this scam website.

They have rang a number of times did not expect much of it at first then they started to say pay a fee on historyreport.co.uk to show a car report and only the owner can get the report. Be careful of the scam. They called from the number +44 7897 013411

I had similar experience. I had a guy saying he is from Birmingham name Musta. he kept saying he needs report from this website only. his phone number is 07723557484. avoid these prople.

Kept texting me telling me if I got a report from them he would buy the car and reimbursed me to 20 pounds

Be cautious of historyreport.co.uk; received a suspicious message from someone posing as Garner. Avoid contact with +447893944505 & +44 7897 069375.

This is a scam. I had a text off someone asking to buy my car and they will come see it on Saturday. They asked if I would do the report or they won’t be buying. The number is +44 7893 944505

The site is a scam. It comes from someone contacting you from Gumtree and ask you to get this report in order to come to visit your car. The owner is called Usman Khan and it’s Pakistani. A formal file has been filled with the police.
