Recommendable.
Usually working great, though connection in Morocco was not very reliable and stable. In other countries like the US, Panama, Vietnam, Thailand and Costa Rica it worked a lot better. Can recommend it.

This card isn't reliable in Costa Rica
Yes, I bought a SIM card for 9 days and it stopped working after 3 days, I had taken the time for the activated it between 2 flights before arriving as mentioned. I had to pay for another card for 5 days to finish de holyday. The network often drops to 3G and doesn't work for long periods. Also, I didn't receive any texts or calls all week. It's not convenient when our credit card and bank accounts open with text approval. This card isn't convenient for me.

Holafly is trustworthy
Using Holafly was great!. I had a week of work in Costa Rica and I was able to connect at all times even at the top of a mountain. It might seem difficult to change SIM cards because you have never done it before but if you are patient you will be able to do it. The chat service is always available and their help is pretty good. I will certainly use it many other times when I fly to another country.
Reliable unlimited data at the half the price
We continue to use Holafly for one main reason. We almost never make local phone calls when travelling. We use WhatsApp and/or a VoIP softphone if necessary. But it almost never happens. It's about data. And we never run out of data with Holafly. The number of times with other providers I have data remaining anxiety or just run out of data unexpectedly, and have to use my "home" roaming data to reactivate a Holafly eSIM. We have used Holafly in the US, Portugal, Japan, Italy, St. Lucia, Costa Rica and around the world. It is usually half the price of our "home" providers data roaming rate.

Easy to install the eSIM and it worked perfectly for our trip to Costa Rica. Will definitely use again.
Used in Costa Rica
Used in Costa Rica. Customer service was great helping establish best plan. Install and connection were easy.
Had no issues over an 11 day trip,
Holafly in south and central America.
Have used Holafly for 3 separate countries in south and central America now where there is no free coverage with my own provider.
All have given good service and cover during the entire holiday.
Whilst in Costa Rica which was booked prior to flying booked Holafly for 3 days in Panama also while away.
Seems best to activate it at airports on free WiFi.
There is always help on hand if you have any questions or need help if required.
Great service again - Thank you Holafly.
Holafly was hopeless!
I bought a Holafly esim when I visited Costa Rica, Peru and Bolivia, but it was absolutely hopeless: I didn't have any internet access for most of the holiday. Fortunately, my husband bought an esim from a different provider (Maya), and he enjoyed excellent internet access.

Satisfied customer
Activating the eSIM upon arrival to Costa Rica was a bit complicated and stressful, but the customer service agent was very patient and helpful. Rather than that I am very satisfied with the service. The internet was truly unlimited and the connection was reliable during our journeys throughout the country. I was using the internet for navigation, music streaming and everything else and had no issues whatsoever. I would recommend Holafly for this destination and I will definitely use them elsewhere in the future.
Excellent service
Used Holafly while on a trip in Costa Rica. The only issue was with installing the eSIM, but the customer service did an excellent job in helping me. Still, a quite stressful experience. Rather than that, Holafly performed beyond my expectations. Excellent coverage during our journey throughout the country. Real unlimited data and hotspot availability. Internet was used for navigation, music streaming and anything else with no issues whatsoever. I’m definitely going to use Holafly in the future.
Holafly was great for our Costa Rica holiday...
Both my wife and I used a Holafly unlimited data SIM for a 2-week holiday in Costa Rica so we could communicate with back home in the UK and also with each other as we were travelling around the country to different areas. The SIM was great and we managed to use Whatsapp and the internet while away for a small price of around £45 for 2 weeks. It was great to be able to use our phone without the worry of a massive bill to come home to. I would definitely use Holafly again in the future if i was going to another country that my UK sim will not cover.
First time using an eSIM and after researching, thought I’d try Holafly. It was perfect for our trip, saved a ton of money not having to use my Canadian provider in Costa Rica! Highly recommended!

Costa Rica experience
It was really easy to install and use the eSIM, on the road the internet connection was not stable, I will recommend it because it's cheaper than a local tourist point, even though I will recommend a normal plan per day 1/2 Gb , not the unlimited. We were in Costa Rica
Costa Rica (Arenal/Tamarindo)
Took a trip to Costa Rica, visiting Arenal (rainforest) and Tamarindo (western beach) - held reliable connection in both areas, and during the four hour drive from one place to another. Only lost LTE at the airport, but we were under a metal roof along with a few hundred travelers with their phones out - but still never lost a connection. Highly recommend!
Don’t use in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica, Holafly use a network called Liberty. It worked fine in San Jose, but as soon as we got away from large towns on our road trip it failed. Over the three weeks I would say it worked about half the time, which was really annoying when relying on Android Auto for the satnav! I tried turning on and off my phone and that worked a couple of times but most times not.

Untransparent Billing, Sudden Disconnection, and Useless Support
I rarely write reviews, and when I do, I much prefer leaving positive feedback over negative ones. However, in this specific case, I feel it is incredibly important to share my experience to warn other travelers.
I used Holafly's monthly 25GB subscription. Right in the middle of my trip to Costa Rica, my internet was suddenly cut off without warning. They claimed my data volume was used up, but my smartphone's internal data tracker clearly showed I had used less than 20GB. The support team strictly refused to provide any proof, technical evidence, or system logs for the alleged consumption.
The explanation of their billing cycles was even more bizarre: Although my monthly payment was always charged on the 18th, three different support agents gave me three completely different start dates for my usage cycle in the chat (the 3rd, the 7th, and the 18th of the month). Their system is completely untransparent and seems entirely arbitrary.
Instead of actually solving the problem, admitting their system's flaws, or offering a goodwill gesture for my immediate upcoming trip, I only received pre-written text blocks. To top it off, they seriously suggested I just upgrade to a more expensive unlimited plan. My demand for a pro-rata refund for paid but unrendered services was completely ignored. I am now forced to reclaim my money through a credit card chargeback.
