I had an authorisation email saying the payment had been confirmed. I recieved all details needed for the cabin including key number. We were back over a week when I recieved an email saying they hadn't taken the payment. After quite a few emails this was resolved however I will never book anywhere that uses this company as their payment scheme ever again, it will be the first thing I check when booking anywhere....

As a property owner I have found Holiday Rent Payment extremely helpful in sorting out payment issues where there have been problems. We manage our properties through SuperControl and have had issues with bookings through OTAs like Airbnb and Booking.com where things get lost in translation which can make life difficult for guests as well as property owners. Working with Holiday Rent Payment and SuperControl has helped me to understand more about some of the glitches which can occur and both parties have been extremely helpful - and problems with the technology do still occur

I manage 15 holiday cottages and we use HRP as our payment intermediary between the guest and Supercontrol. In terms of providing help and support regarding payments, chargebacks, any issues with financials, their support team have been great. Always quick to reply, and patient with me while I try to understand the intricicies of the financial rules and regs and helping me to put things in place to ensure we are compliant in all the best ways. No problems with HRP from me!

30 day refund
Dear Jane and Lindy Lou, I had the same issue with HRP on those exact dates. A ray of hope, today I was refunded the duplicate payment. Exactly 30 days from the issue. I had raised a dispute with my bank which may have been a factor, but I hope you have the same result. Just wish they hadn’t wasted my time with false promises of payment.
Absolute joke of a company
This company is an absolute joke and not even worth one star!
I authorised one payment of £375 for the deposit of a holiday on the 19th September. On the 23rd September a second payment was taken from my account which was NOT authorised. They didn’t even have the decency to contact me to advise a mistake had been made.
I contacted them via email at the end of September to request this be refunded into my account and like others was told there had been a fault in their system and a refund had been issued and it would take 5-7 working days! I waited with bated breath! Nothing!!!
Contact again was made via email on the 12th October as I had been more than patient and was told that a refund had been issued to my account late on the 11th October and the monies would be in my account within the next 24/48 hours as it can take 5-7 working days!!!!!! I was also told that other customers had already received their refund!!! This I find very hard to believe.
As I write this today 21st October I still have had no refund from this company.
I just wonder if anyone has been successful and received their refund??
How on earth a company can get away with this is beyond me! If they have £375 of my money how many other customers are out of pocket?
What is so difficult and why is it so difficult to return money that doesn’t belong to you! It’s happening too often to be a mistake.
AVOID this company at all costs!!!!!
Absolute joke of a company, not worth the 1 star
What an absolute joke this company is... took multiple payments without authorisation. Completely fobbed off with refund, would be 3-5 days, 7-10 days... then they stated 'we are not actually sure' when you'll receive the refund. I only authorised a single transaction.
Unable to progress any complaint through the UK financial ombudsman as they are in Ireland.
Do not use this payment company.
It does not surprise me that they have not taken ownership of their own company on TrustPilot... they know the reviews will never be above 1 star..
Took payment twice on 23 September…
Took payment twice on 23 September without authorisation. Allegedly refunded on 11 October no explanation why so long to identify issue and action. Still waiting for the credit 18 October. Unbelievably poor service.
Absolutely Appalling Service
Absolutely appalling service from this company. They had an error in processing my payment so instead of notifying me, they just took the rent twice from my account the next month, wiping out my bank account a few days before I was due to go on holiday.
The customer service was initially ok, with the agents in the contact centre polite and helpful. However once the matter was escalated to head office in Ireland the tone changed drastically and I was left with no satisfactory resolution and the matter was ignored. Avoid this company and their parent company Yapstone if you can.

i paid a £100 refundable deposit for a short break. I had confirmation from Holidayrentpayment that a refund had been issued on 26th January but after 5 days nothing had been repaid so i had a chat on line and was told that the "refund is in status HOLD this takes about 7 working days until our system can secure that the funds are collected and secured from the account to then be processed back to your credit card. the transaction will then change automatically to "processing"and this is the status that the funds are being returned to your credit card account . this process takes about 10-15 days and you dont have to do anything further." what a load of nonsense why dont they just say they are keeping your money as long as possible and hope you will forget about it. this is my first experience of paying a refundable deposit and something i will avoid in future its really disgusting to take all this time and nothing i can do about it £100 is not a small amount of money and i think owners should warn any renters about this ridiculous process .
Shameless and Appalling Behaviour !
My holiday company is owed a small fortune by HolidayRentPayment and constantly finds petty excuses to avoid paying. A fellow customer of this company CORRECTLY WROTE:
"So angry, frustrated, disgusted that this company makes the simple task of transferring money so difficult and long. Are they sitting on money to gain interest themselves?? What other reason would there be for a refund to take 30 days when banks and other companies manage to complete this transaction within minutes or seconds. What an absolute scam! Any company or accommodation using this company will sure. I for one never want to deal with them again. Absolutely furious to have to wait for a refund an entire month!!!" We run a small holiday villa business and all our guests from 2020 who cancelled were given vouchers to be used for a future holiday whilst the landlords had been paid. Most actually had insurance against the cancellations.
THIS COMPANY HAS BECOME JUDGE, JURY, AND EXECUTIONER in settling disputes. All small businesses have been warned: STAY AWAY ! They use stupid excuses ranging from wrong summation to passing you over to another team to "we will escalate this for you" and nothing gest done.

Awful! Terrible communications! Slow service! Taking 3-4 weeks to refund cards, still telling me I don't have authority to email after TWO years of having authority, and are causing us SO much extra work with very unhappy guests!!!!
Horrifically poor service
Horrifically poor service. Dreadful communications, taking a stupidly long time to process card refunds causing all sorts of problems within my business and for my guests. Where most companies have adapted to cope with the challenges presented by Covid and lockdown, HRP appear to have gone the other way. No apologies, no explanations, just shockingly poor service.
Scammers
Really? 30 working days for a refund. What a lot of nonsense. I have never known a refund to take that length of time and my bank can't explain either why it would take this long if it was a refund. Scammers!!
