No dispatch or delivery. Email address is AI.

Placed an order over 2 weeks ago. Has not been dispatched or delivered. There email address is AI and not helpful. I may have to contact my bank to start a chargeback because I think this might be a scam.

Received worn boots with mud in the treads

Unfortunately I’ve had a poor experience with Hollands (in this case, the branch of the business called Hollands Workwear). I ordered a pair of high-quality neoprene-lined wellington boots and they were dispatched quickly and arrived equally quickly. However, upon opening the package, I found the boots in a battered box, missing some of the manufacturer packaging. They had clearly been worn outside: there was mud in the treads and a large stain on the outer neoprene section of one of the boots.

I took photographs and immediately replaced the boots in the box, and then emailed Hollands customer services with the photos attached, as in the returns section it states that if there are problems with the order, you need to email before returning the package. After all, they say that to initiate a return, products must be in an unworn state — and the boots I’d received were clearly not only worn, but worn in muddy conditions.

I received an automated response to say that if my query was urgent, I should email again with “urgent” in the subject line. So I did that, and received another automated response to say that they would endeavour to respond within “48 business hours” (which perhaps might be interpreted to mean two days, but with the “business hours” part could actually mean six days).

I haven’t received a human response since then, so the package with the boots in it is still sitting in my hallway. Meanwhile, I’ve had to reorder the boots elsewhere, as I need them for a trip. This has been a very expensive experience. I am disappointed and can’t recommend Hollands at this point.
