I don’t feel Holroyds (especially Bingley and Keighley) deserve 1 star review. We have had the worse experience, communication is very poor. Property was left disgusting and the so many damages, we tr... See more

Holroyd Miller are West Yorkshire estate agents, buying and selling commercial and residential property in Wakefield, Dewsbury and the surrounding areas.
4-6 Newstead Road, WF1 2DE, Wakefield, United Kingdom
I’ve never dealt with such arrogance and rudeness as the people in this office! They have no integrity! Few quotes from staff....
Simon Miller “companies just want their money, if you’re not prepared to go ahead with out the architects certificate then we’ll sell to someone who will” me - so you’ll just rip someone else of instead? Simon - “like I said companies don’t care they just want their money”this is a converted property with no documentation to prove work has been carried out to the appropriate regulatory standard!
Julie (agent) - “ the service charge is £50 a month”... after money has been paid on searches, solicitors fees and just before we’re due to complete the sale, the service charge more than doubled to £120 a month impacting on the mortgage affordability calculations!
The property is now back on the market advertised again as ‘service charge TBC’!
Jonathan Miller - “we work for our client not you” - check the estate agents code of conduct Jonathan...it states your obliged to provide a decent standard of service to the buyer too. Not that we’ve had that!
These people have no morals and are completely useless....buyer beware because we’ve had lie after lie! Don’t even get me started on the problems with the lease! I won’t even view a property being sold by this agent, let alone sell one with them!

Reply from Holroyd Miller
Absolute shambles of an Agent.
We have been left waiting for 4 Months to get a simple lease completed on a small commercial office. We chased them all the time for progress and reiterated over and over that come May, we would need to be in or we would have to terminate our interest. We then were forced to extend that to June and now that is still open ended!!
At the last minute (ON THE DAY OF POSSIBLE COMPLETION), I attended my Lawers office to sign the lease and it was then announced that they had revoked a paragraph which outlined their agreed and legal obligation to make some minor repairs within 60 days of completion. They would not re-enter this clause even though these small works had been agreed at the point of issuing HOT's back in February which made us feel like there was something sinister going on.
We have now pulled out of the deal, paid their termination fee and although we are over £2600 out of pocket in costs, we are extremely relieved that we do not have to have Holroyd Miller in our lives for the next number of years. We have also contacted the owners to express our anger that they have wasted 4 months of both ours and their time.
These are absolutely shocking to deal with and I would urge any reader to look at other agents if looking to advertise a property OR if someone wants to pursue a commercial property, I would URGE you to include a deadline in any HOTs as they are simply useless!
