Transparent platform and excellent customer service
Very transparent platform, with complete information about costs. The trading conditions panel shows commissions, spreads and fees clearly for every instrument before you trade. Interactive charts make product research easy.
Customer service is also very reactive and genuinely helpful: I had a question about my accounts and custody fees and the agent was quick to clarify my doubts and proactively offered a solution. Clear, patient answers throughout.

Zero customer service
Zero customer service, they take 1 month to respond to an urgent query. Insane fees to transfer assets. They recently imposed an insane rule that you can only transfer money in a bank of your country of residence, big red flag for expat. Feels like an authoritarian dictatorship. Since they commented after i posted my review, I am going to expand on it:
- they say they were not able to identify me, although immediately after posting the review i was asked to provide details about my identity and this was triggered but Saxo. Not surprised they cannot find their own clients.
- been a client for many years. Customer service has never been good, but it has recently degraded to subpar.
- “can only fund from your country of residence” is BS. Literally no other platform is imposing this kind of rule. Good luck when banking with neobanks that use IBAN from other countries where you don’t reside.
- funny how fast you reply to public criticism while open tickets on your platform remain untouched for weeks if not months.

About funding from only your country of residence — after that first deposit from your country of residence, you can request approval to fund and withdraw from additional countries (for example due to nationality, work, frequent travel, a second home, family support, or legitimate banking arrangements).
We appreciate your understanding that this policy helps us verify account ownership, evidence the source and destination of funds, reduce cross-border and financial crime risk — protecting your assets and meeting Saxo’s compliance obligations.
Regarding outgoing securities transfer, our fees cover two key aspects: third-party charges from custodians and market systems where applicable, and the operational work to verify ownership, block positions, coordinate with the receiving broker, and reconcile the transfer.
