Miserable experience using Angi Leads

Miserable experience using Angi Leads. They promise a certain "value" of leads based on your monthly spend. Each zip code has an assigned value per lead, and that is how your account is charged. You will rarely get connected with the lead once you're assigned. I can call within seconds of receiving the lead and never talk with a homeowner. You can call, text, email and get ghosted the majority of the time. The most common response you'll receive is "STOP" via text message. I've had many people tell me they didn't even submit a lead. You'll get an occasional real lead, but the amount of admin trying to sift through all of the garbage is not worth the time. It's a distraction at best. Now they have a new feature called "opportunities" where they want you to pay for additional leads. You have the choice to select those and pay the fee. I have avoided those until one came through that said the homeowner "selected you to discuss their project. Respond now!". I paid the additional fee to select this lead since it was represented to me that the homeowner reached out to us directly. I pay the fee, reach out to the homeowner, leave a voice mail, follow up with a text, and immediately receive a response back of "STOP". I was baited into paying for this lead only to receive the same BS response. DO NOT USE ANGI LEADS.....Save your money. You will only be met with excuses and ran in circles when you call customer service and complain. In my opinion Angi Leads is a scam.

Angi ads went from sugar to shit

Angie ads was really good to me for the first 2 year now they have just gotten greedy the ROI is not worth the investment you end up paying way too much for a shot nothings guaranteed they hide your information from customer and make you pay to contact them plus monthly advertising! The couple of leads they give you sometimes is not enough to pay monthly subscription then trick you into paying for every lead say the customer requested a quote from me but I gotta pay! Customers used to reach out on there own but they prevent that now

Leads are garbage so disappointed most of the leads are fraudulent or the customer doesn’t even know how he requested to get an estimate. Leads have been trash for years now do better people !!!!

Lies from the sales team and poor…

Lies from the sales team and poor support. The salesperson sought us out and tried hard to get us on the platform because we offer services people kept searching for, but they didn't have any providers for.They promised they would waive the cancellation fee if I gave it a try and the service didn't go well. Right from the start, I questioned why the contract had an early termination fee despite the conversations we had. I was assured it was because it was a template and I was going to be reimbursed if the service didn't work out. I kept getting lead notifications hours late. Whenever I contacted the customer service team they responded hours later telling me to restart my phone. We had 3 phones signed up, and not a single one of them received notifications on time. When I complained about this multiple times and it went nowhere (how can I win bids if I don't get them on time?), I asked to cancel and they told me they would be charging me a cancellation fee. They literally did not provide the service they had sold me and then told me they would charge me to cancel the services they were not providing.

Worst customer service ever- not willing to work with you

I had one of the worst experiences with this company from the very beginning. I signed up for the first time and started receiving numerous leads. Honestly, I didn’t know how to use the app and accepted leads immediately. I managed to communicate with three clients and bid on their projects.

One of the leads was a woman who wanted her entire house painted. I sent her a direct message through the Angi Pro app. Unfortunately, she never replied or made any contact with me. I called them because they had put a hold on my account, unaware that I had to pay just to view the lead, even though I hadn’t communicated with the client, Ira.

I informed them that I would credit the lead I hadn’t communicated with and happily pay for the other three. However, the supervisor, Mike, insisted that I pay regardless of whether I had seen the lead. Do I believe this is fair? Absolutely not.

Former contractor with Angi

Former contractor with Angi. They make it difficult they credits for fake leads and now I've noticed that they don't issue credits after they say they will verbally on their contractor support. Joke of a company. They don't check to make sure the homeowner gets qualified contractors too. They're running a heck of a racket I'll give them that.

Stay away from Angi

Terrible system, always changing how you are connected with "leads." Most of the leads that I actually connect with (about 15% of all paid for leads) end up being scams. Terrible customer service, difficult to use app/messaging. Stay away from Angi! It had cost me thousands in wasted lead fees and time chasing fake customers.

I am a contractor who requested their service to help provide my service to customers. This company is disgraceful absolutely disgraceful they put fake ads out telling customers they can have free work done just to get names to sell their names to me and 90% of the names they generate don't even answer I would not trust this company for nothing do not use Angi.

Do not work with angi

They Are Thief.
Friends, do not work with Angi List. They are extremely unfair and deceptive. Whether you have money or not, you are forced to pay them. Even if they don’t send you any customers for a month, you still have to pay a monthly subscription fee.

There was no money in my account, yet they still charged me and even put me in debt with my bank. They took $700 from me. I don’t even understand how they did it. Do not tie yourself to the system they’ve created. Protect yourself.

If you sign up, they lock you into a one-year contract. If you try to cancel, they demand a 35% penalty fee — calculated based on the total annual subscription amount. That makes no sense.

Out of 40–45 leads they send, you may only get 4–5 actual jobs. I worked for 3–4 months just to pay them and made no real profit. It feels like a system where you end up working for them instead of for yourself.

Be careful and read the contract very carefully before signing anything.

I no longer trust Angie lead system

I no longer trust Angie lead system. I believe they actually manufacture their leads because more than 75% of the time you can never contact the lead. In other cases if you do have contact the person has no idea what you're talking about. I also believe they sell the same lead 5 or 6 times because people complain if you do get contact that you are one of many calls. For the price of the lead it's a total rip off.

Total scam

Total scam. If I could give negative stars I would. I realized this about 30 min. After I received a second call asking the same questions the sales rep Edward Smith just asked me. I mistakenly said the word yea answering the question and then was hung up on immediatley. I knew when they wanted the word yea/yes onky on a recording, and not actually given a direct number to the first sales rep I knew this was a scam. This was on 01/30/2026. I tried calling the sales rep back on his supposedly direct line, several times and only got automated cutomer service that after several minutes would disconnect or state the customer service was having techical difficulties and then disconnect.

A person by the name Monte Kahem called me the following Monday at which poiny ai stated I thought this was a scam and woukd not be moving forward. I also requested for Edward to call me but he never did. Monte just wanted to talk abouy supposid leads that I needed to respond to. I end the phone call with I have already spoke with my bank that hokfs my charge card and will be fiking a dispute whuch I did after the charge posted.

After getting emails and texts I informed that the agreemnet was nukl and voud and then to cancel anything including charges yo my card, which, I have now had that card shut down and requested a full refund since I did noy get any services and a scam. Monte then emaiked me and stated I stated I am agreement and but there are not contracts and that I could cancel anytime buy over the phone only verbally only, lol.

I sent another email and stated it is in writing once again and to cancel and I did not authorize any charges and requested a fukk refund of the one charge that alledgedly was for advertising.

Contractors, beware of this one!

Absolutely robbery

Absolutely robbery! In 1 month got 4 leads. The expected was 7 to 8. 3 of the leads were not real. 1 was wrong number. 2. Spanish speaking and no judgement I just speak English. 3rd the guy had no clue what we were talking about. 4th gave estimate and havent heard back! Called our reps from angi pros several times. They said they would refund us. I called today to cancel and asked not to pay the 35percent of expected leads for the year after explaining the leads they sent us. The woman said some people speak different languages and you can't desceiminate. She said the wrong number 1 she'd give us $30 back lmao and the lead who had no clue what we were talking about she said we have no proof. So now after paying 1 month $520 getting no leads when expected to get 7to8 and now having to pay an early termination fee of $2030 is absolutely insane! Beware!

Absolutely garbage company, steer clear of them unless you want to be scammed. I strongly advise fellow professionals to be cautious with Angi. In my experience, the platform consistently charges for low-quality or 'fake' leads that don't result in actual work. Furthermore, their cancellation process is unnecessarily difficult and not user-friendly. It feels more like a trap than a partnership. Save your marketing budget for platforms with better transparency.

I’ve had over 54 leads and only 4 have…

I’ve had over 54 leads and only 4 have come to fruition. Mostly scammers, or older people not willing to pay any sort of updated pricing not set in the 80s. I’ve had such a larger rate of success from door to door or personal advertising. Thus company sucks and doesn’t even offer to send you proper leads. They ran out of people so they started sending me people looking for jobs instead of needing services. Absolutely ridiculous. Sending me people who haven’t even asked for a service on anti for two years but now they are asking for something randomly that they had no idea they were requesting either.

I have the worse experience

I have the worse experience. Middle of the night they will send you leads and deduct which we have our normal working days/ time of operation and you have to argue with the customer service. How many time try to cancel because of the worse experience. It was cancelled on the recorded line via voice mail but until now they are trying to deduct my monthly payment. What a SCAM! Please stop!!!!
