I found out the hard way that Angi is only worried about their profit, NOT the customers. My contract with Angi was for $280 a month of leads. First I wasn’t getting the correct amount of leads then... See more

Scams got one lead in one year maybe two.
No customer replys after you contact them. They say the leads only go to you. Even if they do they dont exist. One customer said the job was done a year ago. Don't trust them

Angie has been one of the most frustrating platforms I've worked with. They send fake or completely irrelevant leads, many people I contacted said they never even requested the service. Despite clearly outlining my business scope, I kept getting charged for leads that had nothing to do with my work.
What makes it worse is the customer service. Representatives repeat the same scripted lines without listening, and when you ask for a supervisor, the response is shockingly unprofessional and rude. Instead of helping, supervisors come across as defensive and dismissive. Their email communication is just as bad—cold, careless, and totally lacking in basic customer service standards.
Do not lock yourself into a contract with them. It’s been a waste of time and money. I can’t wait to finish my contract and move on.

They charge us for leads for things we do not even do! Then we call for credit and then because this even in our scope of work they would not give us credit. They charge you for nothing. That is just throwing money out the window. What a horrible company.

I am absolutely appalled by Angi leads and their complete failure to honor their agreement. They promised qualified leads but only delivered terrible, non-qualified leads that were a complete waste of my time and money. On top of that, when I tried repeatedly to reach out and cancel due to their poor service, they ignored every attempt to communicate. Then, despite failing to uphold their end of the deal, they slapped me with an astronomical cancellation fee—something I absolutely should NOT have to pay when THEY didn’t honor their part of the agreement. Their customer service is nonexistent, their leads are garbage, and their business practices are downright shady. I strongly advise anyone considering Angi leads to look elsewhere—this was one of the worst business experiences I’ve ever had.

Do not use Angi Leads. If you try and cancel, they charge you over $1,000 dollars. This is of course something they won't mention at the signup.

Dont even inquire with them cause that will get you on their list and they will call numerous times a month even when you ask them to stop calling. They use a phone bank so its a different phone number every time. They promise you the moon but they are not the ones who qualify the call, their customer is. So you will still get leads for types of work you dont do. The last couple reps who have called me have gotten pretty snarky with me too.

I want to leave a review for Angie. Leads home advisor pro I am a contractor and I started paying for Angie leads to get jobs. I made an initial $500 deposit for Leeds. And they gave me $300 credit or something. After that, so I think I had a total of $800 in lead. Before I even started so they started sending me jobs. I'd say about ninety percent of the jobs were flakes. And the job that I did get.I couldn't charge the customers enough to even pay for the lead service. With $800 starting credit.Within 2 weeks I racked up a $1300 bill with them. And I only made about five hundred dollars from the jobs day that I actually got. Now they're threatening me charging me two thousand dollars for I don't know what. Angelie's home adviser is a horrible service.I strongly do not recommend any contractor in the united states to use angie lee's home advisor pro

False promises. Unethical behavior.
Angi’s sales rep rushed me into a 12-month contract, promising I’d get furniture assembly leads. After signing, I found out they don’t even offer that service anymore. When I asked for a refund, they delayed, disconnected calls, and sent me a $2,646 cancellation notice.
They took $630 for nothing.
I’ve filed complaints with the FTC and Florida Attorney General.
Total scam — stay away.

Angi leads is a complete scam. More than half of the ‘leads’ I received I was unable to contact and I still pay for it.

If I could rate 0, I would. This company is an absolute scam. I was told by the women who signed me up that I would be getting leads for one thing, and that there was no issues. She ended up putting me under leads for something completely different. The next day I tried to cancel, she said leave it with her and she would fix it. She kept saying this to me for 10 days, saying it just takes time, etc. But, I would be getting leads for the correct thing and that I just needed to wait for my onboarding call and everything would be fine. Once I was out of my time to cancel, the onboarding team called me to tell me that I couldn't get leads for what I thought I was signing up for. I've been trying to cancel ever since. I was told I would beed to pay the $329 a month for the leads regardless because that was the contract. Then, come June 1st I could cancel. I called June 1st. Surprise surprise! I couldn't cancel! I still needed to pay 30% of what I owed. I wasn't told this either. I called customer service who took all the text messages from me showing that the women promised me one thing, and never fulfilled. That I wanted to cancel the next day but she said she would fix it, etc. They sent it off for investigation. I was told in 3 business days I would have my decision. 7 days later, a women called me to say "Did you want to cancel your account?" I had to reexplain everything. She said the last person I talked to didn't start an investigation and there was nothing in my file or notes to say why I was cancelling. I sent her the email trail from the previous person saying that it would be 3 days, sent her all the text, etc. It's now been over a month and still, not heard back from a 'supervisor'. It's an absolute scam. I'm now dealing with lawyers and instead of trying to cancel the account, I am now looking to get my money back for the fraudulent item they sold.

I did a very big mistake to accept an offer from Angi to work with that platform and getting a leads from them for my handyman business.
Firstly, they do a very aggressive advertising campaign and call you from different numbers almost every day. Then you checking them in Google and see: they are everywhere. And you thinking if they are so big it's not possible they are bad or scam.
And finally you decide to try and take a look how it works, because they are everywhere. And they making you sign a contract for 1 year. I'm just lucky I chose a budget $300 per month, not more, it was a minimum budget available. And then something horrible started.
First 2 months I didn't get any jobs at all, only poor quality leads. Customers don't even respond to any messages and calls, you getting just a ghost leads. As I get it later, when customer choose one pro, Angi send that lead to that pro and also to up to 5 other pros, so it's confusing for customer, because he doesn't expect any other calls and messages except the only one pro he chose. So other pros start calling to the customer and everyone gets disappointed: pros getting unresponsive cold lead who doesn't interested in their calls and the customer gets a lot of unexpected and unwanted calls. This is confusing everybody.
And I worked with Angi about 8 months and during that time I did only 3 jobs from that platform. And that not because I'm not experienced guy and don't know how to speak with customers and etc. In that time I worked with other platforms like Thumbtack, Yelp, Pro Referral. And I got a lot of very good customers from those, but not from Angi. Angi always was worst compare to other platforms, that's why I understood that is not normal, that I pay $300 per month and getting just a ghost leads, but the same time I'm getting a very good work flow from other platforms for even less money.
And that point you decide to break up with Angi, but it's not that easy. Before I signed a contract with them I already knew if you quit before the contract ends you will pay 30% of the remaining amount in contract on that moment. If you pay $300/month that is $3600/year. If you cancel after your first month with Angi in that case you will pay about $990 early cancellation fee. So I paid less, because it was my 8th month with Angi, but it still was $430.
So what is the summary and conclusion of that story? I'm handyman business owner with 8 years experience and I know how to run a business and how to communicate with customers, and I know how to do advertising. I used a lot of various platforms, but Angi was worst of the worst. I didn't even earn enough money from customers from Angi to even cover the money I spent for Angi Ads. For 8 months working with Angi I did just a 3 jobs from that platform. I spent $2,533 for Angi Ads and earned $1,240. So it's -$1,293 of losses, not including a time I spent to call and messaging those ghost leads, to perform a jobs, not including a gas I spent and tolls I paid to travel to the customers. It's for 8 months!!!
No one other platform gave me so terrible results. Thumbtack, Yelp, Pro Referral and other platforms I used the same time gave me a lot more earnings then spendings. So Angi Ads ROI is so terrible, so I strongly recommend to other handymans and pros to stay away from Angi and invest your money in something else.

I’m a contractor and I do have some…
I’m a contractor and I do have some complaints about the lead service — some of the leads worked well for me.
However, I had a very bad experience with customer service. My account was canceled, and when I tried to resolve the issue, the representative Melani treated me with a very poor attitude. She was rude, unhelpful, and showed no interest in assisting with the situation.
On top of that, once the service was canceled, I was locked out of the app with no way to review my information or clarify anything.
It’s a shame, because the platform has potential, but their customer support needs serious improvement.

Angie has hidden language in their customer contracts. They will continue to charge your account after the cancelation date. Additionally, they will send you leads outside of your agreed contact area zip codes and they will not be related to the work that you do, yet they charge you. Angie will refuse to give you a refund for their mistakes no matter how egregious the error. I would advise against ever using Angie services. It is a scam and the services are bogus!

STAY AWAY!! I have used them for the past 3 years. They charge you for FAKE leads that are dead ends. They have taken THOUSANDS of dollars from me. I have only had 1 real job through them; the rest are not real. I’ve tried canceling several times but they tell you they can fix it but they can’t. They will pause your account for a short period of time and then bam you will be charged for leads out of nowhere. I canceled my account months ago and I noticed they have been still charging me for months on calls I didn’t know I had and THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU.

I have been using this service since it was Service Magic, then Home Advisers and now Angi. The leads get worse and worse. I recently received a lead that was a mistake by the person how entered the lead. I requested a refund and was told I can't because I didn't call them I used the system that Angi has which is a messaging system The person admitted she made a mistake and called Angi explaining to them That wasn't good enough?????

I am very disappointed with this company. I bough a membership on May 17,2025 to have more customer for my cleaning business and they promised me 25 customers and they said i could have 15 0r 10 on the works case every month but they only send me 14 on total and out of the 14 I only had 2 the leads are totally trash, many of them didn't answer, or they were looking for job not the cleaning service. they refused to replace the bad leads or to complete the the 25 leads. I called to cancel and get my money back but they only told me that this month was going to be much better and very sorry for the month before so on June 16,2025 they took an other payment out and on Saturday 14, they send me 2 more leads and I called then without any answer at all. I called then on Sunday 15 to cancel the membership for second time and they canceled but refuse to refund the 2 months when I on only used 1 and not even the 25 houses they promised me plus they charge me 1617 for early termination. now my credit card is in dispute of this transactions because is unfair should be against the law to force people to stay with them even the are a scam . they. if they kept their promises no one would cancel. now they are threatening me to send it to collection to ruin my credit if i don't pay them. I need your help to put a stop to this fraudulent companies. they are also taking advantage discriminating me for being a Spanish speaking.

Major financial mishap, going with Angi Leads! Was with them for 3 months and most of the leads weren't viable. Some leads, had no idea what I was talking about! I was paying $280 a month for people that just were "thinking" about it, and/or "accidentally hit the wrong button." Some even got angry with me.
In the end, I had to pay $980 to stop losing $280 a pop. But, in the long run, it ended up saving me a little over $1,500. Live and learn!!!

I understand the “service” provides leads and can’t guarantee results. But I have multiple leads that are terrible. Leads are just people looking for jobs, leads that look AI generated, leads that are classified as wrong categories.
I had a “lead” and when I made contact she said she lives in a car and has no idea what I’m talking about.
I’ve contacted angis customer service and on boarding specialist and they don’t care.
I signed a contact and now I’m stuck for 12 months.

Angi leads is an absolutely disgusting scam designed to steal from small businesses with the promise of opportunity. I have been very patient to see if any of it is real but now I have concluded these are all dead end scams. Fake lead phone call calls never answered or returned, direct messages never responded to, emails that go nowhere. Zero response from so many leads, please do yourself a favor and stay away and save your time and money from this complete scam of a business that only leads to profits for Angi "leads". I have spent too much time being patient and have paid with my time and money thinking it was a legit business. I have been on the phone with multiple Angi agents only offering ridiculous responses and excuses for dead leads with no offer of credits for scam leads. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Put your time and money into legit advertising avenues and do honest work to gain referrals for your own business. Believe me when I say, Angi Leads / Home Advisor is a complete scam. There's nothing anybody can say that can convince me otherwise. Their "business" scam methods should not be legal.
STAY AWAY ⚠️☢️☣️.
