Pathetic Customer service
I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Home Centre.
I ordered an Alpine Modern Polyresin Ganesha Water Fountain which was clearly shown as available online, and my order was successfully placed. However, without any proper update, the order was later cancelled stating it was out of stock.
What made the situation worse was the completely contradictory information from their customer support team:
• One advisor (Seema) said the product is out of stock and cancelled the order
• Another advisor (Ganga) confirmed the product is available and even assured delivery within 7 days
• She also said it’s available in Delhi stores (Rohini & Pitampura)
• A third advisor (Anthony) denied everything and even made a shocking statement that if online stock is less than 10, the product may not be delivered or could arrive broken/faulty
This kind of misinformation and lack of coordination is unacceptable for a brand like Home Centre.
To make things worse:
• I was promised a callback from a senior advisor and store team, which never happened
• I had to place the order again due to their confusion, and now I’m unsure if it will even be delivered
I have call recordings as proof of all these contradictory statements.
Overall, this experience shows:
• Poor inventory management
• Unprofessional customer service
• Misleading communication
• Zero accountability
I expected much better from Home Centre, but this has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had.
