Buyer beware

Buyer beware! Bought the dehumidifier just over a year ago. I should have immediately returned it. The so called pump only worked sporadically for a few months, and then it stopped working just about daily. I ended up having to empty the water reservoir once or twice a day. After doing some on line research, I found this was a very common problem. I contacted the company a few days ago. They did respond promptly (kudos to them). They offered a paltry discount if I purchased another one, but why would I buy a defective item twice? Nope! Fool me once, but not twice.
DO NOT! I REPEAT! DO MOT BUY A HOMELABS DEHUMIDIFIER!!!!

Dishonest, deceitful, non-concerned staff

After ordering a 3500 dehumidifier unit, they sent me a smaller unit but kept my money for the larger one that I ordered. They refused to respond to my need to have this incorrect item picked up as I am elderly and disabled and unable to move this big thing, but they ignored all my messages. When I finally made contact I was spoken with rudeness, lack of concern and hostility. This company will not see my money again.

$650 commercial dehumidfier…

purchased $650 commercial dehumidfier from homlabs; coils started freezing up after 11 months; not a user issue nor was it due to conditions (clean, heated basement); unit was replaced but 2nd unit had the same issue 12 mos. 1 week later; was told could get 20% discount but then told the unit was "out of stock"; first of all, I don't believe out of stock...there is was a defect with these units; 2nd, I should have been offered a full replacement of a comparable unit but I was not; no more homelabs for me

Run Away - Fast

I purchased a hOmelabs 4,500 sq. ft. dehumidifier through Amazon on January 6th, 2023. The dehumidifier failed on July 27th, 2023. The unit worked but the water would bypass the collection bucket and come out around the side and onto the floor. Since I was away from home, this caused our house to be flooded with water. The bucket was not full and the cut-off sensor was working. I contacted the seller through Amazon and had to call Amazon and ask them to step in. On August 2nd, 2023 I finally received a response. A replacement was sent on August 3rd, 2023. On June 24th, 2024, the replacement dehumidifier began having the same issue. Since I didn't trust the unit, I thankfully had the unit sitting in a container that collected the water so it did not flood the house. On June 25th, 2024 I contacted the seller through Amazon but have yet to get a response. On June 28th, 2024, Amazon began reaching out to the seller but has not received a response. Multiple messages and phone calls were sent but unanswered. This is now the 2nd unit and both have failed within a year.

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for, which isn't much. We bought (2) of the 8000btu smart window units. They both failed after 6 months of use and were warranty replaced, only to fail again after another 6 months. Rinse. Repeat.

Had to order a new unit as mine

Had to order a new unit as mine, 3 years old, failed. First email to them asking about warranty was fine. I was out of warranty but they offered a 20% post discount if I ordered thru their store or Amazon/website. Their store was "out of stock" on every portable AC unit! So i ordered one on Amazon. Now they refuse to honor the 20% offer because it wasn't an "official" store. And companies wonder why consumers are wary.

Stay away from this company, they are deceiving!!!!!

I ordered a window AC directly from they site. I needed a certain size and they had the size and great price. When the unit came to my house, the measurements (L x H x D) were completely off! I emailed them, as you cannot contact them any other way and requested to return it and get the correct one I ordered. They then told me that they do not sell that size units anymore and that the measurement of this unit was a mistake on their website. They were going to fix it. They told me they do not have the one I bought on their website. Now I am sitting with an AC I cannot use! They are very deceiving and customer service is horrible. Do not buy anything from this company!!!

Only takes e-mails and won't respond

Only takes e-mails and won't respond. It's a shame Amazon will sell their products when they won't respond on warranty. Don't buy their beverage cooler or anything from this company. They finally responded and sent me a new cooler as long as I disposed of the old one. Cost me $110.00 Not much of a warranty if you ask me.

Beware of Homelabs.com no REMEDY

Purchased an air conditioner through Amazon.com, seller is Homelabs.com. They responded via Amazon, asked for more information. This link does not work, and does not allow attachment of information request. After posting a video of the unit malfunctioning, got an email. Same thing they allegedly want more information. I have all, but he email will not allow response. I check for the company location and email, looks like New York, but unclears. The phone number they give says no longer accepting calls. There is no way to actually contact them or respond to request for information. Amazon says they will not take returns, company says they will send a new unit, but not way to actual contact them or speak with anyone. I cannot find the actual address for mailing or the real phone number.

This appears to be an intentional scam to prevent consumer form seeking any remedy, while giving the appearance they operate in good faith?

Information asked for below. I have documents to support all that is said above, including a video of the unit malfunctioning.
Amended 09-08/2023 Finally after leaving many negative review, and wading through much trouble, finding a way to contact them. They refunded my money. We still have to deal with the fact they have no replacement. In addition we had the expense of professional installation of this product which is not functional.

Homelabs 5000 BTU A/C

Ordered a Homelabs HME020003N 5000 BTU air conditioner last month via Amazon. Read good reviews for my 10X12’ bedroom. Very BASIC unit, but it’s a small bedroom. Everything works fine……IF you like sleeping (or trying to) next to an idling jet-engine outside your window! There are some reviews already about the noise factor, so I can’t complain about it. Would be nice if the fan speed could be turned down below the pre-set low speed via a knob or dial 😊.
