After being disappointed and frustrated by my local high street estate agent’s lackadaisical approach to selling my property, I looked at alternatives, including the auction route, and came across Home Selling Expert’s website. I was impressed by Matt’s pro-active, transparent, and straightforward selling strategy based on his cumulative knowledge and experience; however, it was his passion, ethos, and empathetic listening skills that moved me to sign on with him. My situation presented a lot of unique and stressful challenges, including the fact that I live in Canada, but Matt was unfazed and very accommodating with time zone differences. Both Matt and Kirsty were very generous with their time and expertise, advocating for me and providing regular updates. They did everything within their control to ensure the sale of my flat and got the job done within 4.5 months!

Having engaged an estate agent to market and sell my deceased Mother's home, which needed to be updated and modernised. However, after 5 months on the market with minimal viewings and no offers, the service being provided was non existent, lacking in communication and proactivity, (having to chase for updates and even suggest price reductions!). Whilst reviewing options I found Matt at Home Selling Expert - booked a call and over an hour's conversation it became very apparent that their non publicised "Assisted sale service" could be beneficial. We engaged Matt and Kirsty after 4 months of lack lustre interest from house viewers and loss of enthusiasm from our estate agents.
Matts presentation on UTube explaining what he saw as the main reasons people can’t sell a house was very informative and has it seems helped a lot of people without their needing to engage Matt.
His ideas are clear and straightforward , starting with ensuring realistic prices being asked for the property, it’s easy to be persuaded, as we were , by an estate agent that you can try for a high initial price and then use that starting point to negotiate lower offers, this approach just puts people off even looking at the property . His small team are in regular contact offering advice and always available on the end of the phone.we were able to influence persons involved in our chain using Kirsty as our intermediate contact. This gave us an ability to understand where problems lay in the chain and take steps to try and move things along. We felt as if we had some degree of influence over what was going on and the feedback we had through Matt and Kirsty was that other parties in the chain were glad to have someone with an overview that was beneficial to them as well as us.
They were very pleasant to deal with and very diligent in their work.
