I have had other warranties before and they have been more of a headache than anything. However we have had several unfortunate appliance breakages and Home Warranty have been great. I love that a real person answers quickly, they are helpful, and have sent payment in no time.

It was a simple process to start our claim and get the needed work approved. We received a check for the amount about a week later! It was great!

The claim representive was great, she took her time to explain the differences in the plans and which one would be better for me. The service technician was awesome, he was up front about the repairs and the cost

I would say our experience was pretty good with the service people hired to come in and fix our problems. However, we had to fight with Home Warranty to get our two claims covered when we bought the most comprehensive warranty from them.

Home warranty is very misleading. You think you covered with certain things and are let down. Read the very fine print of terms. Service providers cover the very minimum they are required to nothing more. Poor service

I purchased a condo last year and bought your warranty protection for the first year. The HVAC has been dripping water this summer. I have a contract with a local company (Tiger Plumbing/Heating/AC) who came out yesterday and did a band-aid fix of applying duct tape. They then sent me two proposals for addressing the real problem (coils, etc). I called your representative to find out the procedure for proceeding with one of those proposals. I was informed that I no longer qualified for filing a claim with HWI because someone else had already worked on the system. Nice warranty. Nice loophole. I don't have any respect for a company that plays this game of "gotcha".
UPDATE: A day or two after posting this review, I received a call from a representative of Home Warranty. He explained in greater detail what the issue was and gave me the name of a local company they deal with. As it turns out, the problem was with the HVAC in the unit above mine (and has been fixed). I regret my rush to judgment and greatly appreciate HWI's prompt call back and efforts to make things right. I am changing my rating to 4 stars.

I don’t like the 100 dollar deductible; but they do answer and make the payments.

Your company is very easy to deal with. The technician said you are the best home warranty company he has dealt with. You ask pertinent questions and don't try to put words in the technician's mouth.

I contacted Home Warranty regarding my air conditioner. They spoke directly with the HVAC company owner. A representative from HW called me and told me I was approved for 1015.00. I needed to submit a paid invoice receipt to the email link they will send me. That was submitted. 3 days later, I called to verify receipt and that everything was there they needed. They told me it was great and they will forward it for payment. I received a check for 150.00 not the 1015.00. No explanation, no email stating they needed anything else. I called and spoke with two different people. A supervisor was suppose to call me back. Never did. I called back again today, evidently a long list of people for the supervisor to call back. I must have been at the bottom. The rep today tells me they needed something about coil information. Now I have spent several hours trying to follow up on this when it was previously approved. Numerous wasted hours tracking this down for payment when it was previously accepted for payment.
Update- they were requesting information regarding a coil replacement. HVAC owner stated they never discussed a coil replacement.
Called back and spoke with a very helpful lady who said they only needed further info regarding pounds of refrigerant added etc. I immediately sent the info over. I called to follow up of receipt. I got the previous person who said they need the coil info. There is NO COIL info.
I asked to be transferred to the original person who told me what to send. Instead she contacts a supervisor but FAILS to mute me and I listened to
the call with her supervisor. I was eventually transferred to the original
person. She followed up, took care of the situation, contacted me later to tell me all has been resolved and it is sent over for full payment.
Theresa Renee was so helpful,
educated and resolved my issues in a professional and timely manner.

Staff was always very friendly and helpful. When I had questions as to how the process worked they were able to give me detailed instructions to make sure everything went smoothly. The only issue I had was locating where to upload my purchase receipt/ invoice but once I did it was very easy!
