Mijn hond is hier overleden.
During a stay at Hondenhotel Opperheide on April 19, 2026, our 2 kg Toy Poodle, Muffin, tragically lost his life following an incident involving another dog. Our family is completely heartbroken.
We originally intended to leave only our larger dog at this kennel. However, we were given explicit assurances that very small breeds are kept entirely safe and well looked after, which convinced us to leave Muffin there too.
This experience is shared exclusively to inform other pet owners, especially those with very small dogs. My goal is not to accuse anyone, but to share what happened to our family so others can make an informed decision.
Nothing can bring Muffin back, but I sincerely hope no other owner has to experience the pain of losing a beloved family member while away.
